Welcome to my Amphibia reaction series! I hope you enjoy my Amphibia reaction and review to season 2 episode 19 and episode 20, "The Dinner", "Battle of the Bands", and "True Colors". This is my first time watching Amphibia - so I'm excited to see if it becomes an all-time favorite for me! You didn't handle this finale so bad, considering how other youtubers reacted. You cried like most people did, but at least you didn't scream when Marcy got stabbed. Perhaps it was because you were already pretty exhausted emotionally.
Anyway, congratulations for reaching this point. This is definitely the moment the show went from great to astounding and never-to-be-forgotten.
Hi, After Amphibia is over I have a suggestion for A New Disney Show Series! It’s called: The Lion Guard! It’s basically a continuation of The Lion King movie franchise. The series takes place a few years after the first film and going towards the second film. It’s an amazing series and I highly recommend it especially seasons 2 and definitely season 3.
when we 1st saw it the episode was leaked early by I think Itunes with out the post credits and I think with out the warning. Then those who got the Disney version got what you saw. then we did Season 3 intro analysisis on all the frames. Whom were those characters? what was going on? being in the fandom means doing trailer break downs and trailer reactions
If you thought this episode was graphic, look at the behind the scenes of this episode. This episode was delayed on the day of its premiere, but delayed unedited due to a massive Apple leak. That could explain why it includes a disclaimer and teaser for season 3.
I love that when Andrias is revealed to be the villain, he doesn't drop his goofy, jovial, eccentric personality. Like, it wasn't part of the act, he just happens to be a tyrannical backstabber as well. I also love the animalistic stance and roars he makes while in battle. And then of course, there's the complete callous of what he did to Marcy. He just works so well as an antagonist, and for me, he's right up there with the Disney Renaissance greats.
I LOVE that he's still goofy. It makes me feel like there can be redemption. And I mention that early in S3. He's a great character.

Fun fact, they FORCED the series to have the new intro if they wanted to show Marcy getting stabbed.
That makes so much sense. It bugged me a bit that it spoiled it. But that's fair 🤣
The long awaited finale!! Always a pleasure to see youtubers react to this one lol. Marcy's breakdown/confession is by far my favourite scene in the show, and i still have that same slack-jawed silent reaction every time i watch it. Her saying "i gave you everything!" especially always gets me.
There is absolutely nothing that could have prepared me for this. In no way did I think the visual of what we saw would make it on disney.

Possibly my favorite season finale of ANY show. The buildup and payoff was just so much more than I could've expected. The way they turned the theme from No Big Deal (a song about Anne's growth and maturity) into an epic orchestral soundtrack while she kicked the king's ass was some incredible icing on the cake.
No big deal 🥹🥹🥹 it was a bop.
Fun fact: The season finale’s release date was delayed but Disney forgot to delay it on ITunes and you can guess what happened next
It was utterly crappy for Disney to do that but it may have had a silver lining in that it was already out there and they couldn’t change it without getting even more egg on their face.

I watched the Itunes leak. It was crazy having to wait for days to talk with anyone. Plus, the leak had no warning or season 3 intro lol
Imagine waiting four and a half months, stewing on that ending. That's what those of us who watched live went through.
This. This is the episode reaction that everyone who has already watched the show already was awaited from the very beginning! If S1 finale is where "Amphibia" turns from good to great than "True Colors" is where the show goes from great to awesome. Sasha's conflicted feelings and motives, poor Marcy's backstory (there were clues of her over-obsession with this fantasy adventure), the homage to "DragonBall" which was played completelly straight and worked - you can just watch with your open mouth how the story goes from one awesomeness to another and at the same time from bad to worse🤯. Looking back it's especially hard to believe that this show about colorful talking frogs would turn into an epic of betrayal and interdimensional war. And yet here it is.
Yeah...when I started this the very last thing I anticipated is these last two episodes and then S3. It's a complete left turn haha it's incredible though!
Yup, time for the greatest episodes ever. Ep 19 is amazing and 20 is just on par with “not what he seems” from gravity falls
They were beyond what I could've expected. So good. And definitely make you HAVE to come back for S3
There were some parts where you were literally mid convo or jsut laughing then all of a sudden you’re wide mouthed in shock/terror and it makes your reactions so funny! 😂👍🏻
The end credit scene was the compromise that the show writers had with Disney. If they had their way, that end credit scene would not have been shown until the third season started.
And season 3, it does not disappoint.

Well, now you know it. Season 2 is SO GOOD. Not just my favorite season in Amphibia, but one of my favorite seasons in any show ever. I really like how towards the end, in addition to the temple we get Sasha back, and her all character arc, including episode 19. But ultimately, everything in this amazing season leads to the final. And there is certainly nothing better then a first time watch - reaction to remind you how amazing this episode is. Literally my favorite single TV episode EVER.

Now that I rewatch it, how did he get Sprig in his hands without Sprig making a sound? Did a frobot grab him? He was across the room!

When Anne calls Sasha a horrible person, I feel like they should have had a closeup of Anne's face afterwards and had her say - "End. Of. Discussion". Which would perfectly mirror and throw back Sasha's own words at her, since she's said that to Anne before.
True Colors is still contains one of the darkest twists I have ever seen in a kids show. It's not that far off from Marcy luring her two friends into a suicide pact.

I adore True Colors, and the episodes preceeding it. You get 2 really fun and heartfelt episodes that end on such positive notes, only to be hit with everyone at their worst. Anne telling Sasha off and eventually having a real violent fight, Marcy's breakdown and confession too, I don't think I've ever reconsidered almost every action by a character after a revelation. Sprig's almost death and Polly's lure you into a sense of safety with it being very emotional, that you don't expect at all the stab, it's so raw, so cold and quick, it's incredible, your expression at the end of pure shock was invaluable, I'm so glad we've gotten up to this point.
I can't wait for you to get to s3, this is gonne be fun!!
Super SaiyAnne Blue was a popular thing to meme about in Amphibia groups after this episode aired. It is only going to get better and they keep the jokes awesome cause now they can add tons of jokes from the Plantars being on Earth. Owl House had some funny moments but Amphibia used cellphones more and better and has way better jokes.

Fandom History Time! So, this half of the season was aired weekly, with a lot of crew promo and hype leading up to the finale. Except, the day before it was supposed to air, Disney got scared and announced that they would not being airing the episode. The crew found out about an hour before the fans.
Amidst all this confusion, the night the episode was supposed to air, it leaked on iTunes.
Eventually, the crew compromised with Disney about adding in the warning at the beginning and the new intro at the end to allow the episode to finally be aired, two weeks after it was supposed to.
It was kind of a thing to live through- the fans who hadn't watched the leak were freaking out over what in the world could have happened in the finale to make Disney suddenly just not air it at all. And then to get the episode trailer with a warning on it?

ah yes, the pains of my favourite characters always getting fakeout deaths somehow(if i had a nickle for every fakeout death my fav's had, i'd have 6 nickles, which is odd how often that happens)

True Colors was INSANE!
During some of the fight scenes during the season Ann's eyes turned blue. It was subtle.
Marcy's and Sasha's eyes had also flashed green and red respectively in the temples they mastered.
I missed the foreshadowing 😔
