Working as you are for the BBC, please be aware they don’t call them. The British brainwashing Corporation for nothing and you may just be a lowly social steerer…….. if you climb up, you will be expected to do some terrible things on the way. If you tried to climb down, they will kick you in the face, and you’ll fall into a pit of shite that you can never swim your way out of I hear these days, they don’t even give you a redundancy package! 😂
The moment between The Doctor picking up Not-Donna, realising, then picking up the real Donna was probably the tensest Doctor Who scene I've ever witnessed.
Copy and paste comment again? Godfuckingdammit!
Late to the Party channel, Doctor Who reaction. Comment by @Surreality22992
What tf is wrong with you? Come up with an original comment ffs.
The TENsest 👀
Is this comment a copy paste? Just saw this on another video word for word
not really, they arent brave enough to kill off donna. It would have actually made a better story but there was never any danger the entire time lol.
Fully thought she was gonna die there (if I hadn’t seen the anniversary trailer with her entering the Toymaker shop lol)
I’m so glad they kept this episode secretive. The reveal of the doubles was fantastic and “my arms are too long” rivals “who turned out the lights” for me 😭
I’m pretty sure the “Who turned out the lights” was a reference to The Library
@@jasonmarholz2427 yes, this current episode didn't say that. the person you're replying to was talking about the library episode lol
Also a shout out to the Why don't they have 2 heads moment from The Angel 2 parter
"Are you my mummy?"
@@dadofboys4956 Beat me to it.
This is some of the scariest Doctor Who I’ve ever watched, between realizing Donna is not talking to the doctor at the beginning and being genuinely worried he would leave her (obviously they wouldn’t kill Donna but it was a real worry for a second lol)
Plus the Doctor daring to be vulnerable for a minute and having that ripped away from him was heartbreaking
And somehow simultaneously some of the funniest
I love their reaction to Wilf. Genuinely didn't expect to be crying at the end of this episode and watching their reactions had me tearing up again. He was supposed to be in the next special too but RTD said he'd passed away before they could film all his scenes
I wonder if The Fifteenth Doctor’s teary photo in the latest promos is him mourning Wilf’s passing in the finale. Or maybe Wilf at least gets an honorable mention…?
@@LeveyReoSaintilpretty sure wilf is not dying. Bernard Cribbins died after these episodes were filmed, he was just too ill to finish his scenes for next weeks episode
@@lewis0705yeah he couldn’t handle the filming of the last episode. They had a lot more for his character but his health wouldn’t allow it. He did die though about a week after filming his scene so they weren’t able to try his scenes again.
"It's like a wacky version of Midnight" YESSS i thought that too! Especially with the copying aspect! That was such a good episode.
20:50 "Leave Donna behind"
21:20 "Oh Christ"
This twist was the scariest and most intense one in Doctor Who but it only lasted seconds, It is truly brilliant writing here.
i don’t think i’ve ever reacted so physically to an episode before i loved it and i want catherine tate and david tennant to do a whole series they’re so good together
Is there no woke garbage this episode??
@@evangingerson1271doctor who has always been “woke”
@@evangingerson1271Clearly you don't remember the time when the Doctor and Jo discussed Alpha Centauri's pronouns. That was in 1972, just over 50 years ago. There's been many more instances of Doctor Who being "woke".
....Series 4.
@@evangingerson1271oh brother just watch the show or don’t
Unfortunately this was Bernard Cribbins' final appearance as Wilf 😢 - Russell said on the behind the scenes of this episode that he was too sick to complete any of the other scenes they had planned...What a man - RIP ❤
I was sad when RTD said that but I'm also happy we at least got one scene with him. If he'd passed away and they had to write him out of the story in the last episode, that would've been so much worse
now i wonder wat happens next. how do his character get written out. do they just say oh hes gone with the family now in hiding or have a scene later in the episode revealing the character passed away
@@reverse7503 I'm not sure! I'm worried how they're gonna do it but I hope it's done tastefully! I think they might have a stand in for the first bit of the episode with them wheeling him around
Now I’m wondering how much of the read through was filmed as he was there for all of that so we maybe able to at least hear what the rest of his scenes was going to be like. 😢
@@reverse7503I feel like maybe they should get separated, and Doctor gets a call saying Wilf is in a safe space and he’s resting now.
I'm a sucker for a slow burner mystery horror toned episode so I really enjoyed this one, the body horror was really cool (With the practical longer arms been the standout for me) and taking the Tardis and Sonic away just made the tension so much higher. It was an edge on my seat type of episode and it kept throwing me off in many instances and kept me guessing. It has all the weird stuff in it that only makes sense for a show like Doctor Who and one of things I love about the show
The character writing is spot on and the performances all round are of course amazing
Could not agree more , this is a top 10 episode for me personally.
I've heard so many stories from my parents about old who genuinely scaring them as children and this episode definitely captures that 😅 the sense of dread and overall creepiness was great
Really loved this ep! Really just let David and Catherine go OFF. Such a celebration of them. I DON'T WANT THEM TO GO! And I was NOT ready to see Wilf this week I thought he'd show up next week but I wasn't emotionally prepared 😭😭
This is the Doctor Who that I have missed. I didn't even realize how much I missed it until this. These two together are just magic. ❤
You are sad girl
“The sonic screwdriver can’t just do whatever the script requires. It needs lore!” There is; it doesnt work on wood or deadlocks, it does everything else 😂😂
They filmed the specials from June to August 2022 I believe and Bernard was able to film this scene but sadly passed away before filming his scenes for The Giggle episode so this was the last time we’ll see him sadly. Great episode though. RIP Bernard Cribbins 1928-2022
I just can’t believe we have David and Catherine back , I don’t think I ever will. I feel privileged to be a fan of this show , the emotional pulls it has on me are unmatched. I will never grow tired for this show , this episode was easily an all timer. I can’t wait for the finale next week and then Ncuti’s debut episode on Christmas , we are being truly spoiled rn
And the winner for quote of the day goes to "I fluxed up"
This was genuinely one of my favorite episodes of Doctor Who in a long time! I really enjoyed the first special but I absolutely loved this special! 10/10 episode! David Tennant continue to bring a sense of wholesomeness, intelligence, and Charisma with this 14th iteration of the doctor, just like he did with the 10th, maybe even better!
Georgia Moffatt (Tennant’s partner and daughter of the 5th doctor) tweeted out when Bernard Cribbons passed that they had named Multiple kids in honor of him.
Omg can you IMAGINE if Donna had died then and then he eventually figured out it wasn't the real one on his TARDIS after he made that choice that would be even worse than her having her memories wiped that would be damn CRUEL I knew they wouldn't but I was scared for a second 🤣
would have been a great story arc tbh, i thought the same.
@@charg1nmalaz0r51 no it wouldn't. It would have just been more trauma for the doctor
The best Dr Who episodes are nightmare material. Such a cool episode.
THANK YOU guys. The negativity in some parts of the Whoniverse is driving me nuts. Doctor Who is and has always been about “the human experience”, the good, the bad and the ugly as well as the strange and wonderful. Some fans have lost sight of that. So THANK YOU guys for a great review of a great episode. And yes, seeing WILF again really hit me in the FEELS.
I will say I thought the first episode was awful. And I didn't even realize it would be a 3 parter so I was distraught at the quality.
But this one was amazing. Reminded me of "the girl who waited".
Are people not liking this episode.
This ep made me so happy. It felt like coming home, especially after years of weird, expository, but flat writing from Chinball. This was like a shot of joy straight to the vein.
Very reminiscent of the Library as well as the episode on the Train during Series 4. Loved this episode and how both characters had FANTASTIC moments. RIP Bernard Cribbins. Even though this is the last time we'll see him as Wilf, he will forever live in our memories.
I remember a train episode but I never came across a rerun so i cam never remember which season, episode, or doctor companion team it was. But it was on another planet. Very futuristic and sleek. That's all I remember. And maybe the colour purple.
@@InnerRise I just saw it again the other day. It’s titled Midnight. And it’s when it’s just the Doctor on a train with a bunch of people. Donna is back at the resort. And he’s dealing with an “Alien” of unknown origin that copies and takes over a persons body.
It's going to be interesting to see the mavity of this episode going forward
RIP Bernard Cribbins (December 29, 1928 - July 27, 2022), aged 93
You will be remembered as a legend.
This was probably the most terrified I’ve been watching a Doctor Who monster since I watched Blink for the first time
When the copies first showed up I thought the episode was time hopping but the longer the scene went the less it made sense, the episode is creepy and I loved it. Of course seeing Wilf was emotional and awesome 🥲
I think that's RTD's mission, this time around, is to make it even more fun. It's always been an important element of Dr Who, and something that separates it from so much other sci-fi/fantasy which often takes itself way too po-faced and seriously.
Yess! Loved this one, super uncomfy, hit emotional beats much better than part 1
It has the weirdness that I love about Doctor Who, it was deffo an edge of my seat kinda episode and kept throwing me off
Hope it won’t be woke haven’t watched it yet
@@evangingerson1271doctor who has always been "woke" go cry in a corner
They were Always only going to introduce Wilf back here, whilst he obviously hadn't passed yet, he was still old and not at his most healthy so the amount they had him was always limited.
They wanted him to do more but he was only able to do this one scene
@@joevictor53tardis has ramps , his other seem would he wilf in the tardis
10:50 Fun fact: Those arms are actually real props!
was going to say this too. Not sure if they realise there are episodes of “Doctor Who Unleashed” released same day as the show which do full behind the scenes, interviews with cast and crew etc. The practical huge arms with moving fingers were uncanny.
My daughter used to say, back when he was 10th Doctor, " you can tell it's a good episode when you say what as many times as he does"... she's not wrong, and then they added Wilf. I crowned the first episode for having a wheelchair accessible Tardis, for that brand new Unit lady, but now I just hope it means Wilf gets back in the Tardis...
What this episode showed me was that if she wants to, Catherine Tate really should do more straight up drama projects.
She did such a good job!!
She is poo
HOW on earth didn't you notice that the Doctor was in an entirely different room compared to Donna and the other way around? xD
I can't believe it took them so long to figure it out. I'll admit, the first time they switched back and forth I thought they were just skipping them walking between both rooms. But after a couple of times, you start to notice
I noticed something was off with the way the "other doctor" came into the room to the real donna, just the way he sat down was so unnatural.
What did you think of this episode?!
Amazing
Soooo good. Scary and funny and tense and fun, fully back to form ❤❤
Better than the last one, that's for certain. But that isn't saying much.
Crap effects and woke.
Holy, towards the end of the episode I felt so tense. Like I know Donna lives right?.. RIGHT?
Hopefully it isn’t woke then I will watch it before this react
@@evangingerson1271 Well it has at least one woman in it, that might be too much for you. Also the suggestion of people who aren't straight, do you think you could handle that without having a heart attack?
@@Jet-fighter if it isn’t forced or shoved down my throat like the last episode I will be ok
This might be one of the best episodes i've seen in years. I missed David and Catherine. They are the best.
Holy shit, I did not pick up on the AI can't make hands. But now I see the whole allegory of thus special
Great episode showcasing how good Tennant and Tate are together. So happy to see Wilf even though Bernard Cribbins didnt get a chance to film everything they had planned.
This whole episode gave such strong ‘Midnight’ vibes !
WOW! I thought with the low numbers from last week you weren't going to do this again! I'm so happy!! THANKS for this!!!!
Another thing that occured to me with the captains plan. It wasn't just enough to destroy the ship she wanted to destroy it WITH THEM INSIDE, so the constant reconfiguring and 3 year long countdown was also created to by a mystery and intrigue the No-things into staying.
I’m so happy you’re reacting to this show!
The way I started crying when Wilf started crying seeing the doctor, rip Bernard
This was a great and wild episode to watch! The specials so far have been great! 👍
Is it not woke like the last? If not I will watch it
@@evangingerson1271 Shut up with your "woke" thing and get a life
I think there was an episode of "Sliders" (the parallel universe show with Jerry O'Connell) where at one point it was implied that the other characters accidentally switched one of the main characters (Professor Arturo) with his doppelganger. And it wasn't something that was ever definitively resolved.
Sadly the scene with Wilf is the only one they got to film before his passing. That is all we'll get.
o7 you glorious man.
OMG HI GREG AND JOHN I’m a huge fan by the way I love your movie reactions so much keep up the good work, you worked so hard for us we really appreciate it a lot, happy 60th anniversary Doctor Who I haven’t seen those movies before it’s very new to me, the actors and they did a fantastic job, I can’t wait to see your movie reactions soon.
I adored this episode, it gave me Evil Dead 2 vibes!
Your reactions to Bernard Cribbins being back were priceless. Wholesome.
LOL Greg I actually had that thought too that the door the opened and closed was 3 years ago but I guess they didn't open an air lock door or they'd have been suffocating with the tardis gone 🤣
They actually referenced the Timeless Child and Flux!!!!! They actually did it!!!! WILF!!!!!!
Edit: Come back to say that I just a post from Russell T Davies showing the script that they indeed did acknowledge that the Doctor had been to the edge of the universe in various other stories
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. PLEASE react to the latest release of “An Adventure in Space in Time”. I consider it required viewing for any Doctor Who fan. And it’s especially important to watch for the 60th anniversary!!
This episode is such a reminiscent of the episode "Midnight".
Loved it!! Love your reaction, thanks for sharing
👏👏👏Great episode. Had me biting my nails the whole time
Cribbins was also supposed to appear in the third episode but sadly passed before filming of that episode, so we only get the scene at the end of episode 2
SUCH A GOOD EPISODE
Those robots you noticed are the entrance to Cyberdog in Camden market. Believe me, I have never seen Camden that quiet lol.
The TARDIS playing music based off the episode title or theme is something I'd love to see more. In the next time trailer, The Giggle, I wonder if it's related to that new TARDIS set detail!
Trivia - the fifth Doctor helped start the great fire of london in 1666.
I love how he said the big Doctor and Donna are like every thumbnail. These twats like Nerdrotic and Critical Drinker don't even need to do any editing for their thumbnails this week. They can just use a screenshot from the episode to cry about WOKENESS!!!!
Old school DW fan here… don’t assume the NPH character is a big baddie. I mean, someone may have decided the Toymaker is going to BE a big baddie, but right now he’s just a character from the 60s, an early episode called The Celestial Toymaker, and I’m sure bringing back one of the earliest baddies is just a nod to the history of the show.
I’m VERY excited about it and I’ve been thinking about rewatching TCT to remind myself of the origins of the character.
Loved the reaction although some of your comments gave me ptsd flashbacks to when I was still on twitter and *shudder looked at the doctor who yt channel comment sections. No seriously, a great reaction for a pretty great episode.
Funny thing is. Ive not seen complaining about the casting of Sir Isaac Newton. But i have seen unhinged people claiming that its woke now as the doctor is now gay and has a crush on Newton.
Like 1. The doctor was gay last season.
2. How the fuck is the doctor Gay for Newton from that 1 minute interaction.
Ah yea last season as if it wasn't trash already with ppl fullfilling their anal fetish for a while anyway if you want gay doctor just create a new one but the hacks cant

On the Newton portrayal, to quote Scott: "Were you there? Oh you weren't there. Then how do you know?" 😆
Fantastic reaction! Fantastic episode 💜 Love you guys
You should check out BBC Merlin as well if you liked Midnights! It's not the same energy but Colin Morgan is amazing in it
I love merlin such a great series ❤!!!
I love that Colin fans will recommend merlin to Dr who fans based on his one role in that one episode 😂
Wilfred Mott, NOW I feel better.
Yes
RTD released a statement that the scene we got with Wilf, was his last. They had more planned, but Bernard Cribbins passed before they could film it. Sad.
Loved this episode! My favorite Doctor Who episode in a really long time
Seeing wilf made me (40+ years old) ugly cry i wont deny it
I think I remember one episode of David Tennants doctor that he said his pockets are bigger on the inside. I like to imagine the doctor just has random assortment of items for when the situation needs it he can just pull it out.
This was an amazing episode
Really good episode, liked it a lot. Big improvement over last week's.
The Doctor picking Not-Donna to go in the TARDIS was foreshadowed when they were confronted with their doubles the second time around. Donna noticed Not-Doctor's tie disappearing, but the Doctor was about to embrace Not-Donna until Not-Donna fell apart.
i honestly thought Original Donna was gonna die on that ship. classic.
I'm not afraid to admit that my inner child soiled itself frequently during this episode :)
Allons-y! 🙌 I really liked the second special for Doctor Who. Wild Blue Yonder was great imo, loved the mystery & camp scary. Thanks for the Reaction!
Absolutely gutted to read that this is the only scene with Wilf that we will see 😢 God Bless Bernard Cribbins x
The Doctor’s compulsive need to just Know 😂I love it
This episode genuinely freaked me out, they seem to be really uping the thriller aspect of the show. Creatures that can essentially BECOME you if you keep thinking? Jesus Christ that’s terrifying
Is there a single movie/show that these guys dont like they seem to love every single thing they watch on this channel
Sadly shills I thought they were authentic but I can understand the mob is dangerous
I used to watch Dr Who as a child growing up here in UK. It's such a British institution. I had no idea until recently that it really caught on in America.
You guys commented on the robot outside the shop at the end of the episode with Wilfred. Fun fact none of that is a set that is an actual storefront in Camden marketplace that they are filming in front off. Nothing has been added in bar the tardis.
This was great. Last episode was OK but had a lot of silly RTD things. This one was just plain great. Also Vampires already exist in classic.
“Is time slow”
“No i’d feel it in me bones”
“Is it time dilation”
My good sir the Dr just said no 😂
Hands down RTDs best Who script since Turn Left.
They actually are called No-Things 😂
God these eps are so good. I *knew* Wilf was coming and I *still* fell apart 😭
1:51 That's Woolsthorpe Manor Isaac Newton's actual birthplace which is just down the road from me.
Curious to see where this gravity name change goes.
Loved the episode, some of the directing when it came to green screen was a bit hit and miss but part from that it was amazing
Bernard Cribbins filmed his parts weeks before he passed away.
Great reaction!!!!
Bojack Spacehorse 👌🏻
I seriously thouhht Donna was gonna die, I'm relieved i'm not the only one 😅😅😅 This episode was wonderful, I loved so many things about it! The humor, the emotion, the suspense, the ACTING! I enjoyed this one more than the first one. The Isaac Newton bothered me a little, because it felt kinda pointless, but still, it was over in 2 minutes, it doesnt really take away from the episode. I also laughed at the "gravity of the situation joke" 😂
Newton and Galilei are deemed to be the founders of Classical Mechanics.
