I think that the shapeshifter is going to stay as Annie up until after the assassination of the president to further drive more people to be Homelanders followers. They will see “Annie” kill the president and Homelander will use that as the reason for Starlighters to be put into camps.
😅👍🏾Great Comment from one of you guyz quoting Kendrick Lamar's Rap Line:.."LONG LIFE BATTLE WITH YOURSELF." Right during the scene when Sage told Homelander that only one person can defeat. him. Kool👍🏾💯
I think Hughie taking Temp V makes sense for his character. Without going through all that he wouldn't have been where he is now. It makes him relatable. Last season tested Hughie, where he felt weak and he felt that he needed to protect the ones he loved. We could all be a good person but we would all do whatever it means to protect the one we loved even if it meant hurting others. I just love how now, he has a healthy relationship with Annie and he doesn't care that he isn't a supe. He will help whenever he can.
Whats wild to me is that the shapeshifter willingly took backshots from Hughie meaning that either the memories affect their form in more than just looks or theyre just freaky.
If Eric Kripke took this right from Supernatural (which I do believe he did) the shifters have a sort of mind meld with who they shifted into. They get their memories & feelings, all to make the shift more convincing. I fully believe that is what happened here, just way too many things lining up with that episode.
Y'all reading too deep. Their going to frame Annie as the shooter on Jan 6th. Her face and laptop. Put her at the scene. Easy peasy, lemon squeezey. P.s. she's just a shape shifter, not stealing shit from Annie, but maybe Huggies first born 🫣😎@@jmon24ify
@@jmon24ify What's also notable is He told the shapeshifter He spoke with Neuman, that is definitely going to compromise Victoria now and put her in potential danger, given the shifter is working for the seven and tells HL everything they learned.

I liked the Ryan and Homelander foil parallel "Don't you go to fuckin commercial!" vs "Don't go to commercial please" Then one is just an egotistical speech and the other one is a nice one.
@@Themandalorian935 there's a thing like that ? tf ? when was it ever stated ? their powers are biological, they're not gathering mana or some shit to use their powers
the deep went through it this episode. killed his octopus gf cause he thought sage actually respected and cared for him, then he finds out she was "doing it" with noir as well. (and she didnt lobotomize herself to do it with noir)
Funny how Sage had to downgrade her inteligence for Deep, while Noir was hanging up with Sage in her normal state. Too bad Deep offed his octo-babe way too soon, she was right all along.
I feel like Sage knew Homelander would get rid of her. She's literally too smart to not have predicted it. She likely has something else up her sleeve. Something that'll show Homelander he NEEDS her. I don't think she had Starlight kidnapped, but it was likely Neuman since she has the most to lose if she's outed.
She absolutely saw it coming, I just don't think she saw it happening this quickly. Ever since he killed that employee when she asked him not to she has been very aware of his ego. I also love how he started this season wanting people to be real with him, and now that he has gotten several ego checks (because he really doesn't know what he's doing, specifically in the meeting with the politicians) and now I think he wants to go back to being surrounded by sycophants and yes men. He preferred it when people just did what he said. Haha
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. Because two birds one stone, get someone who's on the president's side close to him, but also make them look like a horrible person by assassinating him in public. That will certainly change the public's perception of Starlight.
I wonder if Sage anticipated Homelander's ultimate rejection of her, and left her "plan" behind so that Homelander will follow through with what she wants. Still not clear on what her final plan is, though, but I'd be scared if I were Homelander or Firecracker.😅
Are we forgetting everyone that Sage said there was 1 guy that can take Homelander out and we see Soldier Boy in that magazine as a foreshadow that hes going to play a HUGE role maybe in the finale but definitely next season for the final showdown!!!
I don't think it was "just a dream" that Hughie was having. I think it was a time jump until later in the night when the shape shifter he slept with, waited for him to fall asleep.
@@scotthewitt258 the jump cut editing was just weird though. They could have like fallen back on the pillows after hooking up and then cut to him sleeping and it would have been a better transition. But as is, I've seen several reaction channels thinking Hughie was just dreaming

Got a theory that my brother told me, that Victoria Newman was the one that gave hughies dad a stroke seen as though she can control the blood inside people and that she looked almost guilty when she apologised about his dad! Great theory from my brother if I’m being honest!
The worst thing about it is that now Hughie has been sexually assaulted twice in the past 2 episodes. Between that, killing his dad, and the Vought/Boys mess continuing, there's not enough therapy in the world for him after this season.

That Annies eyes didn't glow during xxx was also a clue that its the shapeshifter
I already guess she was the shape shifter during that scene and I still didn't notice that. Good catch.
I didn't guess any of it. I was so into it lol
Idk if anyone noticed but Ryan saying not to go to commercial was a call back to Homelander’s “I am better” speech
I'm not surprised that it's a Christmas episode, let's put the Christ back in Christmas was a few episodes ago lol
And the election happened in November
Homelander ripping Web weaver like crazy
I guess you can say Homelander ripped that move straight out of Mortal Kombat.
That’s likely what he did to the rest of the people in the lab in episode 4 since there were no laser marks.
@@kc1john A lot of them looked like they were just smushed across the wall
Why did his face look so bloated up in that scene?
That was so funny ngl
I think the Deep and Noir "Bro" scene was a nod to the Wire where Bunk and McNulty do an entire scene saying the same naughty word
What season?
@@seanmoist5418 Season 1 episode 4. When analyzing the crime scene.
28:26 respect to John for that Kendrick Meet the grahams reference 😂🙏🏾
It seemed to know more than it should have.
That and she didn't have to seduce and sleep with Hughie to steal the laptop. So she may have taken starlight's feelings for Hughie too
If Eric Kripke took this right from Supernatural (which I do believe he did) the shifters have a sort of mind meld with who they shifted into.
Bro Ryan is starting to slowly resemble his father with the "don't cut to commercial!" Like how invincible started resembling his father here and there...
But he asked nicely, while Homelander demanded. Despite being somewhat similar, it shows how different they are
I liked the Ryan and Homelander foil parallel "Don't you go to fuckin commercial!" vs "Don't go to commercial please" Then one is just an egotistical speech and the other one is a nice one.
👏🏼
The cell that webweaver was in, is the same type of cell the Gen V kids at the last episode of Gen V were locked in.
Yes it is used to neutralise their powers so they can't break out.
@@Themandalorian935 there's a thing like that ? tf ? when was it ever stated ? their powers are biological, they're not gathering mana or some shit to use their powers
@@kaantax8666 Starlight was trapped in one of those cells, did you forget already?
No, marie said the one they were in had no doors
@@gingerdog8203 We're talking about Webweaver. Get a grip.
the deep went through it this episode. killed his octopus gf cause he thought sage actually respected and cared for him, then he finds out she was "doing it" with noir as well. (and she didnt lobotomize herself to do it with noir)
his dead octopus was right all along lol, even tho we already knew this long ago 😂
@@simplygod1035 Fragile egos that have built up an illusion to keep it safe usually respond badly to hearing the truth they don't want to hear.
Funny how Sage had to downgrade her inteligence for Deep, while Noir was hanging up with Sage in her normal state. Too bad Deep offed his octo-babe way too soon, she was right all along.
The music choice for when Frenchie was sawing off Kimiko's leg, chef's kiss 🤣
Haha
This episode was so fun and crazy! The fight scene in this episode was so cool! 👍
Also Ann Cusack who portrays Starlight's mom is the sister of actor John Cusack.
And Joan Cusack too!
i think the plan for killing the president is either to use starlight's face or Hughie's face, either way president is gonna die next ep
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. Because two birds one stone, get someone who's on the president's side close to him, but also make them look like a horrible person by assassinating him in public. That will certainly change the public's perception of Starlight.
Wouldn’t hold too high to it
Or Nuemans face so Homelander can Eliminate both and place himself in charcoal
28:26 John's Meet The Grahams reference 😭😭😭
Lmao 😂 he snapped
Mother Milk with a mini gun
Mother Milk with a Muthafuckin mini gun.
That twist at the end was so good. I didn’t see that. R.I.P. the octopus
The only redeeming quality the Deep had was his love and respect for sea life. He’s completely gone in my book.
I wonder if Sage anticipated Homelander's ultimate rejection of her, and left her "plan" behind so that Homelander will follow through with what she wants. Still not clear on what her final plan is, though, but I'd be scared if I were Homelander or Firecracker.😅
Well most of it will still play out (finale) but after that Homie is on his own.
Billy Butcher goes full Judge Dredd 😂
Are we forgetting everyone that Sage said there was 1 guy that can take Homelander out and we see Soldier Boy in that magazine as a foreshadow that hes going to play a HUGE role maybe in the finale but definitely next season for the final showdown!!!
If they don’t bring Soldier Boy back at some point between now and the end of the series I’ll be so disappointed
I don't think it was "just a dream" that Hughie was having. I think it was a time jump until later in the night when the shape shifter he slept with, waited for him to fall asleep.
Very clear that is what was going on.
They fucked, and Hughie went to sleep.
@@scotthewitt258 the jump cut editing was just weird though. They could have like fallen back on the pillows after hooking up and then cut to him sleeping and it would have been a better transition. But as is, I've seen several reaction channels thinking Hughie was just dreaming
To be fair I think they understood what happened. But only once the camera pans over to Annie.
Yeah I was confused by that at first too. Lol then when I realized it was the shapeshifter I was like "oooooh okay, it was a time jump." 😂😂😂
The cut was just a tad weird, but if you thought about it for a second it does read as just a time jump. Lol my brain just took an extra moment to process it. Haha
Rip Ambrosius 2022-2024
A-Train felt what being a hero should be. And it sincerely changed him. Arc complete.
And next week is the season finale.....
4:03 "oh thank goodness she's okay" spoke too soon
Crying tears of joy. A-train got tf out of dodge just in time.
FOR NOW
I can absolutely see him showing back up for the climax of the season in some form. Lol
I think when butcher is gonna wake up he is gonna find whole bunch of people slaughtered in that bar .
We finally got the A-Train we’ve been wanting, and there’s a 90% chance it’ll be his last season! 😭 I’m also nervous about MM…idk if he’ll make it back to join his family 😬
I expect he'll be back to save the day
He's gonna be here next season, watch

Missed opportunity to have Web Weaver scream Zendaya before he died.
Crazy how you called starlight being the shapeshifter of the rip
A-Train being alive and on the good side is like a character that has hope in TWD... we all know what happens 🥲
why is no one talking about how Hughie got ASSAULTED AGAIN this episode?
I KNEW shapeshifter took over Annie. For some reason when Hughie is talking/asking questions from the bedroom, her answers just felt off…
Imagine if the goo shapeshifts into Kesler when Butcher is looses it
Wouldn’t they need to directly hold Kessler? Kessler is long dead
@@getaloadofthisguy2927 No, the shapeshifter could probably transform into him

Love watching long term Kripke fans with the supernatural connections!!! I noticed that the episode with Hughies dad was a straight vengeful ghost! I feel like this is everything Kripke wishes he could've done lol. If he could find a way to smash more in Im sure he will. Great call out on the shifter, I actually missed that reference lol
Do we think Neuman gave Hughie’s dad the stroke? And that the shapeshifter was his Mom too? Just setting Hughie up to be completely ruthless next season?
i was so worried from Kimiko during that scene 😭
When Ryan to Ashley “No don’t go to commercial” it was a call back to when Homelander also said “don’t you stop rolling” when Ashley also said “go to commercial” in that live rant.
Honestly poor Hughie he going through so much this season
The octopus was on the bed with no water just fine but the second the case breaks she can’t breathe. What!!
Yeah, I noticed that too. I can let it slide though. That prolonged death scene was pretty funny.
@@craiglee5460 Its because she was able to "Breath" in a bunch of water into her internal bladder vs the surprise water break because she never thought the Deep would kill her over someone using him for sex

Octopuses can store water in a sac in their gills which allows them to survive above water for longer
called prep time. Octopi can store water if they're not instantly yoinked out of the water
Now I am curious if Hughie's mom is a shapeshifter? It's a wild crazy theory.

Please no...
You might be on to something
One of my favorite parts of this reaction was when John said, "Bonesaw's ready..."
"OOOOHHHH YEAHHHH!!!"
i really didnt need to hear an octopus telling me that she came
then again im not suprised with this series
Great acting by The Deep, props to you guys for recognizing that too
This episode was amazing. But i don't understand why Starlight or A-Train didn't try to rip off The Deep's head when he was knocked out
Yeah. He might be stronger than a regular person, but he is most likely not nearly as invulnerable as some Supes.
At least try.
I’d be sad if the deep died he has more story then a lot of these other characters!
No time
Thats not how that works deep is super durable.
The entire time I was yelling “She loves you Deep, she is the only one who love you, you bastard! Put her in the fucking tank!!” (Yeah I know the tank is fresh water)
Belize is everything Saul Goodman would want
Didnt expect the meet the grahams bar
Sage has been the highlight of this season
Miss "everything is racist" God she is annoying..
I just had a thought... What if Butcher IS the virus that can kill homelander?
That could happen in the 5th and final Season of "The Boys"
Got a theory that my brother told me, that Victoria Newman was the one that gave hughies dad a stroke seen as though she can control the blood inside people and that she looked almost guilty when she apologised about his dad! Great theory from my brother if I’m being honest!
Ooh, intriguing 🤔
@@reconsoldier135 indeed, it is
The worst thing about it is that now Hughie has been sexually assaulted twice in the past 2 episodes. Between that, killing his dad, and the Vought/Boys mess continuing, there's not enough therapy in the world for him after this season.
