- Did I make a $900 mistake buying this 03 Grand Marquis? In over twenty years of marriage I have never been so impulsive on a car purchase. My wife was reluctant but I bought the cheapest Mercury Grand Marquis for sale on Facebook Marketplace and it was a non-runner.

I bought a 2005 Grand Marquis LS for $1,000 with only 97,000 miles on the odometer. 3 years later and I’ve only driven it 14,000 miles😅 still the greatest purchase I’ve ever made :)

I have not seen your other content on this car yet, but I will tell you that I own a 2000 crown victoria lx, 2000 grand marquis ls, 2004 grand marquis ls, and a 1996 towncar signature. All four cars have the digital dash and I love it. I love these cars and it sounds weird but they each drive different in their own way. I just put new shocks on all 4 corners of the 2000 grand marquis, what a difference in the handling. I put on KYB shocks and happy I did. I have been driving these cars since my first one as a 1979 grand marquis villager stationwagon. YES, I love these cars and it is sad they no longer make them. My history with these cars is a 1979, 1987, 1988, 1993, 1997, and now the ones mentioned above.
I admire your passion to ownership of these big rigs.

I love it. I have a 2002 p71 crown vic with 200,000 miles and a 2010 p7b crown vic with 74,000 miles and I'm thinking about doing the same lift on the 2010 with some aggressive tire's. Because I already had the 2002 on 26inch rims with a 3-4inch lift (crappy spacers in the springs you buy for 10$ and a little cutting) but it worked and runs well. Love the the vic and panther vids keep it up look forward to what else you have planned for it. Name idea's. (grandson)? (black magic)? (blackpanther) ?

I got an 03 LS..with center console 😎 ..I love it..decided I'll never not own one while I'm on this Earth😆 just picked up 18s ..mustang 5 stars and some 245 45s cheap..2 thrush glasspacks..I'm looking at it from my recliner in the living room up on jack stands..👍..best $1800 car I ever purchased

I have a 2005 Gran Marquis LS Ultimate Edition. Bought in 2016 with 89,000 miles, has 201,000 miles. No issues, uses no oil between 6,000 mile changes, love the car.

I have almost the same rims on my 2011 Crown Vic. It came with them.
Time to put a manual in it so starter problems don't leave you dead. :-D
I had the bendix go out in my FRS earlier this week myself. Must be the time of year. :-) Push started it and took it straight to my mechanic's. Told my brother about it and said he got a 5 ton dump truck going by push starting it (of course he had 10 guys to help). Unfortunately, the Scion's starter isn't $100. :-(
It'll be cool to see how the same car takes on a different personality with the different set of mods.

We have the same car. My dad willed me this car. We discovered the 87 octane was very weak on power. My neighbor told me try the mid grade so I did, what a huge difference.
We called the car " Reliable One".
Simple fix. Thats awesome!

That's definitely a 2003 1/2 because of absence of the clock on the dash and also exterior b-pilards painted(when car has oem paint)

my engine is running like crap
Runs like a champ. Leaks oil, but runs good. If your engine light is on, check it for misfires, you may have a bad coil. Good place to start is a simple tune up: plugs, fuel filter.
@@OldeCarrGuy i know lol but mine is making noise from timing chain also burns oil thru valve stem seals and bad motor mounts have you ever did a motor mounts job for mercury
If it was a police cruiser that explains the feature rich interior police cruisers are always given the premium limited edition package with all the comfort creatures
Actually cruisers are pretty basic!

I have a 2003 grand marquis ultimate edition LS with 195,000 for $1500 gold ash color everthing stil works on it really everything i tntaly love my car and totaly no rust at all
It has all the featurs leather seats and all and does every bit and then some of 0-60+ qaurter mile

The winch had plenty of power, but stripped gears is stripped gears. We've since replaced it and works great!

That grand Marquis has had the interior changed. It's LS limited judging by the badges so that car should have been all leather.
According to the window sticker, cloth was standard. It definitely strange to me.

What’s the valet switch reset remote start my 2005 linclon town car want start want crank but has power. I put a new starter in checked fuse new battery
My car has an remote control start device that was installed at the dealer when it was new. Sound like you may have a bad starter relay . Try swappimg it with a known good relay.
