  • This video is all the common and repetitive questions I see in the comments on most of my RUclips videos. Be that hunting property access or location details, thermal scope recommendations, what do I eat from the shooting trips etc. Hopefully there's a few small pointers in here for everyone and it might give you an insight to the sheer volume of questions everytime I upload a RUclips video.
As of Monday morning ALL of my state - NSW in Australia will be in lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please everyone stay safe and do the right thing, we can all get through these hard times together.
Call to action - If you would like to see the continuation of RUclips channels like mine or others. PLEASE consider joining Patreon for further support.

I am sure cooking a fox would be exactly like cooking a cockatoo. You put a huge pot of water on the heat. Wait until water is boiling rapidly, then add 5 medium sized stones. Put skinned and cleaned fox in to boiling water, cook until stones are tender, throw out fox and eat the stones. That is my old dads recipe. I miss the old fella.

Nathan one of the best themes of your videos is that you keep the content real and honest. Maybe in Australia you haven’t been generationally, or social media shamed to believe everything about hunting is bad, but those sort of sentiments are unfortunately ramping up in Canada.
Really enjoy the content as always, along with the excellent visual effects. It stands to reason you invest loads of time and money into your equipment and resulting high end production.

Sir, I found your channel by accident a couple of days ago, and fully endorse what you are doing.
I had a Diana airgun as a kid and you could watch the pellets coming out of it. Nuff said on that.
You are shooting "imported vermin", and that has to be a good thing.
You admit to shooting deer, and you also state that it is for consumption, not financial gain. Again a good thing.
I believe that I am like you in this, and I detest the muppets (keeping it nice there) who get great "sport" from shooing everything from road signs to the poor little wren who happened to be sitting quietly on a branch.
Keep up the good work. I doubt that will ever fully eradicate the vermin from Aus (Myxy proved that), but if there are not people like yourself out there attacking it, we will end up in a complete mess.
Keep doing what you are doing well, and chewy on the muppets.

SSAA membership and certified as "Farmer Assist" with SSAA may give more opportunities for access to properties. You shouldn't eat carnivores such as foxes. Just eat herbivores. It is risky eating pigs because they are omnivores but here in Australia, commercially grown pigs cannot be fed "slops" or meat products.

Good little video. I don't shoot but I am glad to see you are doing your bit to help control introduced feral animals. I have been watching videos from the States and their feral pig populations are out of control in many of the Southern states. We definitely do not want to see the same thing happening here in Australia. On the subject of feral cats and dogs, if they aren't under the owner's control at night then they should be shot. Obviously if they are wearing a collar then the owner needs a decent fine to remind them to exercise responsible control over their animals. More and more councils are requiring pet owners to keep their pets safe and secure at night. Cat outdoor cage runs are ideal, so the cat can get some fresh air without fighting with other cats or attacking other animals. Also saves on Vet bills.
Enjoy your lockdown we are up to # 6 in Melbourne.

Hey bud love you videos , just bought my first thermion an XQ38 as budget has a lot to do here , unbelievable the amount of confidence it can bring shooting rabbits and rats with it just around home on my 14acre block , currently mounted on my Rotex RM8 pcp have the mounts and rails to get it on my 17hmr and also my 270WSM , listened to your your views and bought a Porter Machine Works uni mount for the thermal , all seems well but haven’t tried removal and replacement yet on any rifle … anyhow keep up the good work throughly enjoy all your vids
    Cheers Bevo

Awesome mate. Just make sure you hold onto that WSM with a thermal running shorter eye relief than what you'll be used to with a glass optic. Hate to see you scope yourself.

Your an intelligent person. Have a witty mind and a great sense of humor. You share a tremendous amount of experience, technical knowledge and common sense. My wife has never been a believer in killing anything including mice. But has a shit fit when one gets stuck in our hvac duct work. She wants it removed unharmed. Reality it's not a catch and release habitat so they go to heaven for their cheese delights. I have hunted since my father first handed me a 22 single shot rifle when I was 5 years old. I am 75 now and still hunt and backpack into the back country after elk, deer, antelope, hogs and shoot varmints coyote, fox, bobcat, ground squirrels, prairie dogs, skunks, rats, mice. Why because learning to respect firearms started as a child. I put food in the table. Share with friends who enjoy my harvest. As a U. S. Marine and a 3 tour combat disabled veteran of Vietnam. My father an uncles served in WWII, Korea. They taught all the boys/men in our large extended family to hunt. To use a map and compass. To survive, to fight, box , wrestle, and apologize to no one! Look what's happening today. Today in the USA politicians want to fund sex changes for military members that desire alterations. Give me a fucking break! If people don't like what your sharing then don't visit the site. By the way they can fuck off. Sgt R.W. Gonzales USMC

Great to see you Robbo and Rodney on last night. I think we as hunters need to see more cross channel talks here in Oz as it may help those whingy Muppets realise we are all in this together. Oh and if I did win the lotto I would have given you three a hunting drone. LOL

You will never see me being negative about what you do Nathan you do what I started doing back in the 60s in my teens because growing up in the country we knew what cats and foxes and wild dogs did to the environment It's amazing that all these years later people don't understand it ,but I suppose the saying that you can't put brains in a statue is appropiate
