      Boblov brand makes a night vision camera that’s small, light, affordable, and mountable on a helmet. It’s a small black square looking thing and I use it to shoot. The latency is negligible(but noticeable) but it has zoom and works really really well with an ir light out to 140~ yards. If you want to start shooting in the dark it’s great for that. The field of view is about 40 degrees, so look through a toilet paper tube to get a feel for that

    What has to be remembered is that products evolve & while evolution is good, sometimes we get carried away by incremental improvements.
    For example not so long ago the resolution of the Holosun was top level & you would pay 8K for that performance.
    Everyone would rave about that resolution & happily use it thinking they had the best tech available. It worked just fine & it was "the best".
    So nothing changed, the resolution is still just as usable now as it was back then & not that long ago. 1.6k for the Holosun is crazy & it's performance/resolution was seen as perfectly usable. Yes evolution is great & if you can afford 7K then absolutely go for it but don't let anyone tell you products like the Holosun are not worth using because some fancy latest tech has better resolution etc. It does the job well, so it's perfectly acceptable.

    I own 4 holosun products. 2 of them broke the first time I tried to use them. Holosun blows

      I own 8 with 22k in ammo through them. Zero failures so far. Did you get a pre 403 optic?

    • @jaredchalker7914
      @jaredchalker7914 3 месяца назад

      @@Mykaelous Nah it was a 3x magnifier and a 507c reddot. The internal coating chipped off and created HUGE black spots in magnifier and the red dot lost zero every time it was bumped. Shooting it jumped the reticle like 6-7inches off center at like 7 yards. Maybe they're lemons? Idk but they were replaced for free so we'll see how they hold up. The HS510 red dots I have have been great.

      I'll give it to you that their magnifier is a piece of crap. Buy I've had zero issues out of their red dots and their warranty is solid.

      @@priestofmegatallica they replaced both for me and the new 507c has been great so far. Have yet to use the magnifier but we'll see how it goes😊

      @@priestofmegatallicamy items were even painted with a few coats and they warrantied them no questions asked. Which was awesome

    Thanks for all the good info on the scope... hog hunter myself of 2 years here... and I will back up pretty much everything you said. ID on such low res optics really comes down to experience at longer ranges you learn how the animals move and their height relative to other objects ect ect.

    Looks as if this will be my entry into thermal. I have Holosun, EoTech, Trijicon and Vortex optics. Holosun has never been a problem. I'm more a builder and Cerakoter than a pure shooter, but I have to have this. Good video Micah!!!
