Would be funny, I talked to Dan the other day, maybe ill ask him for confirmation when I see him in a few days lol
Bro Holo Sun the only sight company out there trynna innovate
I'm all for them pushing the other companies to add more features to their products or come down in price.
They’re just the only sight company you can afford. Thermal and night sighting systems are already out there. And much better than this.
Exactly. Despite its origins it’s a great company pushing innovation. As a civilian that trains it’s been more than enough.
Like my queer brother
@BasedPatriot-USA that's all companies except for a select few. Not saying I disagree but "assembled in the US" is seen on some American companies products as well.
I have to give Holosun props for actually innovating and pushing the envelope
There’s multiple thermal red dots on the market already they’re just making it the cheapest
@@Marksman5147 Exactly theyre pushing it to become more affordable for the common person

In the industry they are known as an emitters creator and innovator that just happens to make red dots on the side. Most other companies get their red dot emitters from holosun.
I personally enjoyed this longer informative format video. Yeah the LARPING mag dump the trash pile is fun, but this type of video is good as well.
Also merc'ing hogs at night with thermal and silencers looks like top 5 fun things to do in the dark.
It's definitely the most fun you can have wearing nippleclamps!
What's the other top four things to do in the dark ? Asking for a friend.

These are the only gun-related kind of videos I enjoy. I love the breakdowns, reviews,
& explorations. Gun tube is chalk full of useless shooting/reaction style content. I watch Herrera, but skip his "ADHD" break segments, despite having ADHD, lmao. I love his breakdowns of how it fires and comes together.
This is probably the best thermal comparison video i have seen on youtube.
Charlie is looking jacked is what I learned today, AND a nerd with a thermal can take him out.
I was looking for this comment lol. Who knew Charlie was secretly so damn swole 😮💨
Pretty impressive really
Don't apologize for long form content. That's what I like to watch. I appreciate the extra details and info.
Some of us still have an attention span.
Honestly I wasn't sold on this guy, but the amount of diligence you went through for this video is very respectable. Big ups
Great comparison dude!
No you
The composition on this video is very much a vibe. Probably my favorite aesthetic design choice of all your videos so far.
Let’s go Micah, THE gun channel for the average man. You’re the shit
The average man with unaverage amounts of money.
Yeah… I’ve totally got this “average” amount of equipment.
While this may have been a difficult video for you this is by far my favorite video you have done!! Keep them coming!
I'm that budget rifleman you were describing, and I found this information really helpful. Thanks man.
Boblov brand makes a night vision camera that’s small, light, affordable, and mountable on a helmet. It’s a small black square looking thing and I use it to shoot. The latency is negligible(but noticeable) but it has zoom and works really really well with an ir light out to 140~ yards. If you want to start shooting in the dark it’s great for that. The field of view is about 40 degrees, so look through a toilet paper tube to get a feel for that
@vexelite77 what's the model by chance?
The batter life is really bad, like 2 hours but you can buy extra rechargeable batteries. I love the thing for the price. But you can also put 2600 on a credit card and just buy a nocturn card industries katana. But if that’s not what you’re looking to spend, I can help you find cheaper options.
@vexelite77 i was just curious. Night vision isn't even on my immediate list of buys. Currently saving up to buy some body armor for my plate carrier. NVDs are way out
Thank you for the awesome video Micah!! Really nice to see how much difference there is and what else works.
Good for sure I definitely don't mind a longer video when it's informative and detailed like this
What has to be remembered is that products evolve & while evolution is good, sometimes we get carried away by incremental improvements.
For example not so long ago the resolution of the Holosun was top level & you would pay 8K for that performance.
Everyone would rave about that resolution & happily use it thinking they had the best tech available. It worked just fine & it was "the best".
So nothing changed, the resolution is still just as usable now as it was back then & not that long ago. 1.6k for the Holosun is crazy & it's performance/resolution was seen as perfectly usable. Yes evolution is great & if you can afford 7K then absolutely go for it but don't let anyone tell you products like the Holosun are not worth using because some fancy latest tech has better resolution etc. It does the job well, so it's perfectly acceptable.
100% I have a Burris with 400×300 and it is absolutely lethal. It's almost frightening how powerful a tool a thermal is in real life
That was honestly a solid review man. Thank you, I’ve been interested in that optic and do a bit of night hunting myself.
Great info in this, Micah. Thoroughly appreciate the efforts and I think it was worth your time
Happy to see these longer-form videos Micah!
your video quality is phenomenal and you strike a good balance of in depth and entertaining.
Really appreciate the time this is the best video ive seen on the optic so far
Great review Micah! You answered just about every question I had about that optic, thank you!
Micah, awesome video! Your overview was much more informative than some others I have watched. Thanks for what you do, brother!
Man that thermal/night vision red dot sight hybrid theory sure is a sight to behold.
Lots of knowledge here! I hope you get the credit you deserve for putting in the time for this informative video.
Very informative video, the actual footage looking through the optics is very useful.
Actually brother. I kinda prefer this content from you. We all know your a funny/clownin type guy. So when you go serious on something, it kinda means more dont know how to describe it. I really appreciate this video. Like and commented for more of these videos in-between the shenanigans.
Yea Micah went into good detail on this video
@@vendetta6451 definitely. Love the silly vids but this was great.

The man the myth the awww hell great job Micah. Appreciate you putting in some work to do this review
Getting close to 200k subs, hope video puts you over that mark!
Appreciate you getting a good comparison out there! Looks like for now the clip on thermal options are worth saving up for if not wanting a dedicated thermal setup, hopefully the red dot thermals keep improving
Appreciate the in depth on thermals! Been itching for a beginner style platform that wasn't a dedicated rig. Cheers brother! Keep on with the style of content you are producing!
a red dot that can do night vision for a cool G?
hell yeah
Mad respect for the effort that went into this. I was a hater of this optic before but at least it seems to have a nice application in the hunting sphere. tbh, this kind of content, no matter how difficult, is great way to separate yourself from all the other gun channels that exist. Keep it up!
Just started looking into thermals for my rifle. Thanks for the info. Very helpful.
Great video! Really appreciate your thorough and thoughtful insights.
Would love for you to take the StingIR+LPVO setup on several hog hunts in various levels of light. Maybe Crispy11B would host you for an AGM hunt.
Come on Mikah let’s do it bro
Hey...ahh...guys my Sting IR is in the mail. What is that flip to side mount?! Need!!
Agm ts25-384 is a way better sensor than the holosun at a similar price.

Opticsplanet, the company that never delivers!
Loved the longer format informative video on this. Putting in the work showing you got that dawg in you! Well done.
Thank you for putting in the work on this one!
😂 Micah I would probably break any of these optics because I am a tool
Clip on thermal seems like a good sweet spot. Dont know many good clip ons though
Good ones aren't cheap. And cheap ones aren't good
Good review. You are the only person that shows footage of what you can see a distance. Great job
thanks for the review, have been curious about these.

Great video. Thanks for the review.
Great review Micah. Def gonna pick one up
$1,600 for those like me wondering who's bank he's talking about before watching it all
That’s not a bad price since there is a lot of optics that cost far more 😅 my luck I would break it if I got one and the warranty probably wouldn’t cover it
I’m gunna argue if you’re shopping for a thermal, this is the “affordable” option. It’s cheaper than some high end LPVOs even
My ol lady be mad a bit about 1600 she'd divorce me over 7k. That's the bank he's referring to
Compared to a $6000+ thermal it's "affordable".
@@micahmayfield The false dichotomy argument with high end LPVOs is hilariously noteworthy. Clickbait cut-lines are clickbait cut-lines. Enjoy your 15 minutes.
I bought this optic and all it did was try to steal state secrets 😥
One pro of the AGM is being able to quickly use it on multiple rifles. Thank you for such a great vid on these. I was really glad to see the detection range of the Horosun was far better than had been rumored.
Why am I watching this?
Because..
We to poor..
We window shop. 😅
It's Micah bro!
Meanwhile, you just got shot in the face while you were scrolling through the menu of your cool, new optic :)
Right, because nobody sets up their optics beforehand and wait until they're under fire. 🙃
Thanks for the thorough run down.
Good to hear this review. And being that you obviously had this on the range for zero and practice. Plus travelling and hunting gives me a lot more confidence in the quality of the optic and that it can definitely handle the moderate abuse hunting will put on any optic
FYI it has been recently discovered that (Holosun) is directly associated and responsible for (supporting and funding) the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army ( PLA). however what optic company ain't coming out of China and supporting a foreign military
This is old news bud.
Yeah, no shit
Literally every single Chinese company is in direct support of the PLA/CCP
Nothing leaves China without the party's approval. Every Chinese product supports the CCP.
I dont like that aspect of Holosun, but it's not a dealbreaker for me. China is a paper tiger in terms of military power because they have absolutely no modern military combat experience.
So does your cell phone... duh
can you buy me a primary arms 3x micro prism please for my birthday
Hey Micah, first of your videos I watched, glad I did. Not a gun owner, not a hunter, just someone interested in the gun tube. Enjoyed watching, thanks for the informative video.
Damn I am really liking your videos, well done video.
Holosun is killing it. I don't care what anyone says, until American companies are willing to innovate and put out products at a reasonable price I will continue to spend my money with the ccp
American companies don't have to put out affordable options because uncle sugar uses our tax dollars, then forces the companies to only sell to MIL/LE for the good stuff. It's a decent affordable option bringing it closer for many people to purchase. Yes it's still expensive for many but not 4-15K expensive like clip on thermal units.
@@adamjones8218 very true
I'm hoping the day comes where a RUclipsr takes a stand and Stops supporting the P.L.A. CHINA 🇨🇳

Great presentation thanks for sharing your experiences - rather unexpected
I own 4 holosun products. 2 of them broke the first time I tried to use them. Holosun blows
I own 8 with 22k in ammo through them. Zero failures so far. Did you get a pre 403 optic?
@@Mykaelous Nah it was a 3x magnifier and a 507c reddot. The internal coating chipped off and created HUGE black spots in magnifier and the red dot lost zero every time it was bumped. Shooting it jumped the reticle like 6-7inches off center at like 7 yards. Maybe they're lemons? Idk but they were replaced for free so we'll see how they hold up. The HS510 red dots I have have been great.
I'll give it to you that their magnifier is a piece of crap. Buy I've had zero issues out of their red dots and their warranty is solid.
@@priestofmegatallica they replaced both for me and the new 507c has been great so far. Have yet to use the magnifier but we'll see how it goes😊

Very informative. Thanks Micah.
Great video, the effort really is appreciated.
Great vid. wouldn't mind more like this in the future.
Watched it all and well done!
Thankyou master mayfield, the 501st appreciates the information provided
Thank you for this comparison with other thermals! I just purchased the Holosun thermal based on this video. I had extra 10% off so brought it down a little.😊
Where'd you get that code
Thanks for all the good info on the scope... hog hunter myself of 2 years here... and I will back up pretty much everything you said. ID on such low res optics really comes down to experience at longer ranges you learn how the animals move and their height relative to other objects ect ect.
Just to let u know, i watched the whole video, a wraith 4k mini on sale is more my budget but i thoroughly appreciate the time u put in the vid and know i wasnt going to purchase either at this time. I lIKE GT videos but yours are more my speed. Keep it up, country boys here in NC relate.

Looks as if this will be my entry into thermal. I have Holosun, EoTech, Trijicon and Vortex optics. Holosun has never been a problem. I'm more a builder and Cerakoter than a pure shooter, but I have to have this. Good video Micah!!!
