I'm glad I found your video. Now I can show my niece this one. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thanks for the tips. I knew you could iron napkins onto something with ceram wrap, but the tip using the silicone mat is excellent. Never thought you could use mod podge to iron napkins onto paper, but in a way it's quite logical. I sometimes watch videos in which veneer is ironed onto furniture by applying glue and letting that dry before ironing it on. This technique with ironing napkins onto paper with mod podge is similar, only you're doing it with paper instead of wood.
Hi! Thank you for some great ideas. Best wishes from Romania!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks! 👋🏼
Looks like a fun afternoon. Especially if a rainy day. Most of us have these supplies. I am going to be looking at napkins differently.❤😊❤😊
Excellent demonstration! I enjoy all your videos. You make things that are not only great looking but useful too! Thank you!
Hi Diane! Thank you for watching! 🙂 - Joan
Hi Joan Marie Wow this is so beautiful. I didn’t know I could do that with napkins. Make greeting cards I love making greeting cards. Thank you for sharing. I have done crafts with napkins. But not with greeting cards.
Hi 🥰🦘🦘🦘
I have just watched your video about adhering napkins with plastic. I have used the method before silicone craft sheets or mats were available. I have one because hot glue, double sided tape and liquid glue won't stick to it. Now I know that melted plastic wrap doesn't stick either! TFS! I did not think of it. I have a craft iron from an Op Shop & a whole box full of serviettes that I have collected over years! Going to make at least 6 for a set of cards for a gift! I am grateful for your inspiration 😂💐
Your videos are so concise and complete, and easy to watch. I find some videos almost painful to watch, and I love love love yours. Thank you!
Thank you so much! 🙂Joan

Soo beautiful thank you for sharing this vedio 💐💐💐
Hi! Thank you for watching! - Joan 🙂
You are clever
This is a super easy looking way to achieve this look. If using a household iron, what temperature would you use please?
When I used my household iron it was set high cotton, no steam - Joan
❤
Love that, is the silicone sheet the same as the one you use to cut pastry out on
You can use the silicone sheets that go in the oven and usually used when baking cookies. I don’t know if the pastry one is the same. - Joan
I have a question for my favorite decoupage Joan Marie Domino, and that is, on burning napkins on wooden letters. Why would it leave black burn marks on the back of the letters?
Hi Louann! Thank you for the kind words! If you’ve watched any of my videos I’m always saying “safety first” so no way I’m using fire on napkins. I use water and a nail file to clean up the edges. Takes a little longer but remember...I’m very “safety first”! ❤️ Joan
I really enjoy watching your videos.
Where do you get the cards and envelopes plz?
Hi! I had them for like..years...lol and finally used them. I got them from a print shop and I think it you go on line you should be able to get cards and envelopes. Joanne’s, Amazon, etc Michael’s anyplace that sells stationery or scrapbooking supplies. Good luck! 🙂 Joan
Love your videos! Question….when you use the plastic wrap to adhere the napkin, do you have to seal it in any way like you do with the mod Podge method?
I don’t put any sealant on top of my cards, I think wetting them Mod Podge would make a wrinkled mess plus I love the way the cards feel! Of course you can try putting a sealant in, perhaps a spray ❤️ Joan
Love this idea!! Can you tell me exactly what glitter you used as I will definitely want to try it! Thank you for another awesome video!
Hi Carol! I use Extreme Glitter Paint from Plaid, the same who make Mod Podge! Thank you so much for watching! 🙂 - Joan
Hi Joan, thanks for this tutorial, could I try ironing with my iron, and with heater level? Thanks
Hi Rosa! Yes you can use your iron on med.-high, really depends on the iron but it needs to be hot. No steam, very important. I have another video where I made cards using my household iron. Here ruclips.net/video/6XXEI0OUqOM/видео.html Joan 🙂
Hello! Loved your video! So easy to follow. I am very new to Mod Podge (hard to believe I grew up in the 70’s) I’m wondering to things. Do you ever seal your napkin on the cardstock with Mod Podge after the card is ironed and made? And also, I was wondering do you iron your napkins first if they have fold lines? I have the long napkins and they have so may creases. Thank you for your time
Hi! I do not seal my cards. I don’t usually iron my napkin first as the creases go away when using the iron-on techniques. Just make sure you are only using the top printed ply. Hope that helps - Joan 🙂
Great video, off to try the cards. Can I ask what you do with all the leftover white layers of the serviettes please. 🦘🦘🦘
Hi Anne! I use the extra plies for general crafting area clean-up for the most part. I also put them on the dinner table and we use them at meals, lol. Have fun making cards! - Joann🙂
Hi,
I will suggest several layers, misted with water, sandwiched in an embossing folder is amazing. When it dries, you can use it to make a background or cut the pieces to add to a card front. Paint, use Copic markers or emboss with Versamark & heat set powders. Hope you try it!🙏🥰🦘
I have done that technique with a mold and it came out cute. But mostly I just use them to clean up and at the dinner table.
Hi! Can you tell me what you would use to seal the card when you are done. Something to prevent the napkin from tearing or lifting?
Hi Beth! I don’t seal my cards. You could put a piece of clear laminate on top to protect it or put it in a frame. Hope that helps! - Joan 🙂
