Interesting point, the Ent D only had a lifespan of 7 years, where as the original crew then went on and manned the Ent E for over 7 years by the time Riker left for his own ship and then it went on even longer eventually commanded by Worf. They had way longer with the E than the D!
The Sovereign shown is the nemesis variant. it has the nacelle strut phaser arrays, torpedo launcher behind the bridge, and the extended sloping walls from the shuttle bay to the stardrive section. The First contact version has 12 phaser arrays, the nemesis has 16, The galaxy has 11 phaser arrays, +1 which is only usable after saucer separation.
Bridge Commander is a game, all of the mods presented are not a like for like cannon representations. So when I provide tactical analysis it is based on the in game lore not cannon. If a mod has 24 phaser arrays in game but only 12 in canon, I'm going to use 24 because I'll be making use of all 24 phaser arrays during the battle sim.
@@TrekBattles The game says 24 because each of the 12/16 arrays can be fired in multiple places along the same array. The game says more because if you add more hard points to fire from in the same array, it calls it an additional array. It's just better to go with the canon number, or what you can count on the model.
@-Lindol--Lindol- the game literally lists the amount of phaser arrays and or torpedo tubes each one can be individually targeted damaged and destroyed. All of my videos follow the in game lore. Because Star trek games are not cannon.
The actual 3D model looks to be a Nemesis Sovereign, and not a First Contact one. Not sure about the hard points, but with all the rear torpedo launchers it might as well be the Nemesis one.
It's the Enterprise E from the DJ Curtis Multi ship pack. Described as the Sovereign starting from First Contact. The Nemsis sovereign fires quantums that are different to this ship.
@ilejovcevski79 yeah it's the first time I've used the E from this pack there doesn't seem to be any decernable differences in the appearance between the two in the pack as you have said. I've previously used the Nemesis E from the Wiley Coyote Mega Pack, he also has another variant but I've never used that in a video either.
The amount of phaser arrays on each is greatly exaggerated lol. That said this definitely goes to the galaxy class. Aside from being a bit more modern, the only big thing that sets aside a Sovereign VS. a Galaxy class is quantum torpedoes (and armor depending on who you talk to). The Galaxy class is an absolute tank, and considering it was designed for upgrades and expansion is definitely a match for a Sovereign class depending on how it is equipped. Nice battle!
I'd be kind of interested to see this matchup with a Dominion War variant/refit galaxy class 1 vs 1. Those things were monsters in the Battle of Cardassia.
The Sovereign has the same ablative armor the defiant has, which allows the tiny ship to tank, except the sovereign isn't tiny. The phasers on the galaxy are type 10, while the sovereign has type 12 (starbase level) phasers. Galaxy loses.
My tactical is analysis is all based on the mod, the armaments are what you're actually seeing in the video. Most mods in Bridge commander aren't a 1 for 1 representation of their cannon counterparts. As for the ships its a tough one I think. The galaxy is as you a tank but I still think the Sovereign edges it without the quantum's.
@-Lindol- yeah but again, Galaxy's were meant for upgrades and extensive refits. The phasers could be upgraded easily and likely were for the Dominion war. Even if they were type ten, additional equipment could rate them for a higher power output to rival type 12's. And as for the Sovereign's armor...I never heard any Canon reference to this. if they do have it, that does give an advantage. However with the Galaxy's being much larger, and hull polarization a known technology, they could adapt easily.
Heck of a fight. I didn't thing the Generations Galaxy had type 12 phaser arrays. I was pretty sure those were first seen on the Sovereign and I'm not even sure if the dominion war refit galaxy (Venture) got the type 12s
@@travisaugustine7264 thank you 🙌. The mods in game do not emulate the canonical versions. They are inspired by as they are balanced towards game play not canon accuracy.
@travisaugustine7264 no problem the intros give context to the battle at hand and the specific mods being used. For example there are multiple galaxy class mods available all created by different people and they all have varying amounts of tactical systems, hull ratings shields etc.
Have you installed either the Kobayashi Maru or Remastered Expansion packs to the base game? I prefer the Legacy campaign mode, but the modding community doesn't seem as big the Bridge commander one, it might just be a case of inertia.
For me a big factor is that legacy doesn't have true 3D movement, and has a less realistic/entertaining damage model. The damage model in bridge commander allows for unexpected golden BBs to happen at times, which is more in line with reality

I've used the RGB Dominion War Refit Galaxy Class Model in previous video, I'll see what a match up between the two would look like.

I've only recently gotten Bridge Commander off of GoG. Why do people like it more than Legacy?
