Acrylic. Thanks! You did a great job of providing details and resources without getting in the weeds of the technical process. When you go through filters and such on the website you mentioned, what effect is it you are looking for to know you have a good image?
So..you have the bases and acrylic blanks linked here to Amazon that YOU used but...The acrylic blanks are 4mm NOT 2 mm with this product..how did you get this to work then on the maker if the blanks are 4mm?? I have been having a MAJOR problem finding a base that holds 2mm blanks securely..these bases are all made for the 4mm width. I have had to return 3 sets of these already because they don't fit securely, they wobble :( LOVE your tutorials though!
I have the same problem but it still works ok. I'm gonna try sticking white adhesive foam that's 1mm sheets to the part that goes in the 4mm slot. It would create a sandwich. I was going to glue extra acrylic pieces but i figured the glue might cause shadows and idk how it would work with the foam sheets but i feel like it would work out. I'll try it out and be back.
This is regarding putting photo on acrylic. Why will it not let me pick slice after i enlarge my black line and enlarge my photo. I put my photo on black lines and select both but my slice button is grayed out and will not let me slice?
Just a few troubleshoot ideas: Is the piece locked so you can't edit it or is the file too big or small quality? Make sure it's svg file. Png is ok in some cases to have it convert to svg in design space but it will need to have the right math information for the pixels. If it's grey then it might not be a solid line that's compatible for slice. Design space might also need an update. Might be worth importing it again or converting it again as design space can also be temperamental.
Great video! I have a Cricut Maker 3 and I verified that it has the latest firmware. I have also updated my Design Space and installed the engraving tip. When I select the acrylic in the materials tab it tells me that acrylic is not compatible with my setup. I'm at a loss. Any suggestions??

Help. No matter what I do I can't seem to get the slice button to activate?

Everytime I go to slice the image into the fill lines, no matter what I do I can't get the slice option to come up.what am I doing wrong?
Is the image one layer?
Can I ask why you did fill lines?
To fill in the entire image. If not, the engrave option only outlines.
