    Hi Corrine! Thanks for this video! I’ve wasted 3 acrylic blanks trying to get my design in the middle of my blank. Cricut says I have to allow for the 3-5mm gap. I have no idea how to compensate for that! Can you help?

    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  2 года назад

      Use the center of your mat to center both the blank and the design. The only gap is along the edges of the mat that is why I always recommend using the center of the mat as your center point when creating anything you need to line up

    Hi Corrine thanks for the video I’m new to cricut and I don’t know what SVG means does that mean I can only use those photos because what if I have a picture of me I want to engrave do I have to turn my personal picture into a SVG?

    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  3 года назад +1

      SVG is scalable vector graphic. The best way to describe it is a JPG or PNG is made of square pixels meaning the larger you make it the more blunt the lines will be leading to a less smooth graphic. SVG is made of nodes allowing for it to be made huge without losing the quality of the image. If you want to engrave a photo you would need to convert the image into a black and white line images like I show in my JPG to SVG video. The cricut cannot engrave to make items lighter and darker like you see with laser engraving
