The sound of the catapulted finial clattering away made me laugh so much 😂 The frankenpen looked very good in the end, I agree that the pink+purple just didn't fit well together.
In hindsight I'm happy that the microphone picked up the sound of that 😂 Glad you like the frankenpen!

I have two notebooks for work, one discbound, the other a daily notebook for the TASKS I’ve done today and will do tomorrow.
I rely on calendar heavily. I block my calendar for all meetings and time sensitive tasks.
In addition, I have a pocket notebook where I put down daily timelines (on what did I spend my time) from the front and use the back pages as my “write everything down” inbox (currently it’s a Murdy No7 with looseleaf paper)
That sounds like a very streamlined system! I like how you have separate spaces for different types of information, but they support each other. Thank you for sharing!
Loved this rambly video, Ru! Always fun to hear your planner thoughts :) Sorry the PaperTess isn't working out for you, but sometimes we do have to just try things out before we can see if works for us, so no regrets! :) In my work, every day is different with no real deadlines as it is an engineering support role. I do have a schedule though, so I only use a Hobonichi Weekly Supplement believe it or not! Compact and easy to carry around :) Contrarily, my personal planning has three books! :D

I have been wondering the EXACT same thing! I wanted to get this pen but held back because of that garish pink grip section, and although i knew i have an extra charcoal grey safari grip section at home i could swap it with, that finial at the end was annoying me. So thank you for the chopstick trick! Now that i’ve learnt this trick, I’m going to maybe frankenpen another Lamy in my possession!
