    Just an FYI-The Mooncake Festival is not called the same holiday across all “Asian” countries. It is a Chinese holiday. Chuseok is a major Korean holiday, also held mid-Autumn by the Lunar calendar. A simple Google search can clear up any confusion .

      Oops sorry about that! I had just made an assumption about the name, mid-autumn festival is probably a better more inclusive term I’ll use in the future

    i daily journal and dont rlly do spreads, but personally I leave a good amount of the page blank and feel like you could accommodate some type of spreads or decoration in the empty spaces! might be fun to try to switch up the layout using some stickers and washi tape :)

      Thank you for the tips!! I’m going to try them literally in todays spread about a house warming I hosted, going to use my new washi tapes like how you suggested :)

    Congratulations on passing your exam. 🎉 I use a A6 grid notebook as my daily journal/memory keeper, like your experimenting right now with MD notebook. Somedays i have too much to write and other days I don't write anything. Undated pages reduce the pressure and guilt. I date the pages myself and looking back one could see, what mood i was on the day with the crooked number. 😊 P.S. i love the washi tapes you got. I have not used a deco rush , can you please share your experience after using it on your spreads?

      omg looking back at how you wrote the date to remember your mood 😂 that's so funny. I hope I can keep up a memory keeper consistently so I can do the same! This week was a little hectic so I didn't make any new entries since this video :( but my interviews are all done now so I'm hoping to start making some nice spreads.
      Btw for the deco rush - I will give a short review in my next video that I'm uploading right now, but in brief - I'd say they're easy to use but you can't peel them off after you've put them down onto a page so its hard to correct mistakes. They also skip a little sometimes because the tape itself is very fragile until it gets stuck onto the paper - its like a temporary tattoo material. There's also not so much tape in one dispenser so I'll let you know how quickly they run out once I'm finished with them!

      @@catspocketnote thank you for sharing your review on the deco rush. I am grateful that you took time and thoughtfully to reply to my question. Now I feel deco rush is not my thing, i probably won't like using them. Thank you 😊.

    If you combine logging your day with journaling small bits, the hobonichi would be great given the time table it provides and there's a secret line in the page to divy up the page! I have been memory keeping in the A6 Hobonichi HON and some days are blanks and I go back to either draw or put in Washi samples and bits!

    • @catspocketnote
      @catspocketnote  2 дня назад +2

      Genius idea - I was JUST arriving to that conclusion too, log at the end of the day whatever I did and then put in some aesthetic spreads now and then when I have something I want to celebrate! Thanks for commenting 🙇‍♀️ I think I’m decided on the hobonichi a6 but January is so far away it feels weird to buy one any sooner and not use it!

      @@ixorakodo you know if they tend to sell out by the start of the year? If that’s the case I would buy sooner…

      @@Cc70831 if you're getting a HON, some designs could be much harder to come by, but usually you can find somewhere surely. If it's just the normal A6, I wouldn't worry too much!

    I use an A6 for daily journaling! I often write about the books I’m reading- especially if I miss a day I’ll go back and fill that day with a book review (as I’m using a dated journal).

    • @catspocketnote
      @catspocketnote  2 дня назад +1

      That’s so cool! So you’re not bound to strictly talking about your day 🤔 I would love to do the same but I’d need to read more lol - anyway thanks for watching and sharing how you use your a6 ❤️

    Curious to know if the stamp doesn't smudge on the cover xx

    • @catspocketnote
      @catspocketnote  3 дня назад

      No it didn’t since the cover for this md paper a6 is this cardboard sort of material! All MD notebooks are pretty minimal and have that exposed spine and cardboard covers!

    i do daily pages, but i dont always write about my day. sometimes i write about a film i saw, an exhibit i visited,an album i listened to. so you can def do that too

    • @catspocketnote
      @catspocketnote  2 дня назад

      Yes I think I’m leaning towards doing this - I really really like the idea of filling up an entire daily notebook for a full year but it sounds tiring… unless I put in basic logging of the day’s tasks too? But then it wouldn’t be aesthetic, anyway, I’ll figure it out by the time January comes around :)
