I love to see currently inked videos - just fun to see pens and inks. I have noticed the darkening of inks as well, but time frames different depending on ink and pen... especially like getting to end ... last bits of ink in a pen perhaps... So I just realized if I did a currently inked video, it would be completely unhinged because I ink all my pens all the time... which makes no sense! LOL... apparently people actually only ink what they use 😅

Great pen and ink combos!! I have two Montegrappas (an Elmo and a Venetia) and neither one seals very well because, sadly, my inks darken within 2-3 days. Now I purposely ink them with super light inks that I wish were darker 😅

That Hyacinth is the perfect blue for that pen!

It has been a while! Lovely color choices as always! Baltic Breeze was an instant favorite. It is frustrating when ink darkens in the pen.

You should put a clear cover on that hobonichi weeks so the stickers are protected 😊

My cat likes to cuddle more than play. When I am writing in my journal he jumps up and sits on my journal and puts his paw on my hand. He causes many ink smears. 😸

Love how your lineup all matches with cats *minus the raccoon on take a note. Looking forward to seeing how you fill up your take-a-note because that is another book I have admired, but don't actually need it to plan. I will live vicariously through your experience!

First of all! I am so glad I have discovered your channel. I love your vibes! Secondly, (around 25:49) making a digital collage and then print it out one by one is such a smart idea. This allows me to scale pictures to size there and make sure they all fit! I might do that from now on, too!

I'm trying a take-a-note this year. I realized I only ever plan on the monthly and weekly pages, so it made sense. I'm also trying common placing in a Leuchtturm notebook, instead of daily journaling because that never worked out for me. I think I'm going to try decorating with a larger stickers to fill out the spaces I don't need in my planner. I really like the look of it.

I have been interested in those week-on-4 pages layout before and I’ve always wondered if I could fold the pages over so that the weekly portion was always showing… like a vertical dutch door layout. This has reminded me again 😊

I’m planning to keep a language journal too, but I’ll be using my ほぼ日 Week for it. It’s great that you’re learning Japanese, because this year I also want to focus on Japanese. I might practice English for more smooth and easy to understand accent when speaking a bit, but Japanese will be my main focus. I also have a Midori notebook like you but with a dog cover, where I jot down daily highlights and stick photos. I’ll be following your videos, especially the ones about journaling. ❤✨

Thanks for sharing. I loved hearing about your language learning endeavors. My husband is Greek and I lived in Greece for a couple of years over a decade ago. I’ve forgotten so much since then. So this year, I’m focusing on increasing my vocab, refreshing my listening skills (which are still quite good), and practicing speaking more with my husband.

Lovely video, I love the colours on the ohuhu markers! I also have a language planner for this year. One of my goals is to reach B2 Dutch actually, I need it for my inburgering requirements but Dutch is quite fun :-) I hope you also make language planner updates on the channel! I follow a lot of language learner youtubers but very few crossover with stationery.

Sleigh Ride was my absolute favorite for this Inkvent! That's not a surprise since I am just crazy about brown inks with a green sheen. The rest of my top list was very similar to yours, but I didn't like Good Tidings at first. It's growing on me slowly. Tundra looked great in a swatch but looked like a slightly warm gray in a pen. I also want to tell you that both of the starbright inks have great flow! I got myself two clear Lamy pens to devote to shimmer inks because the Lamy pens handle them so well (and being clear, I remember to shake the pen often). I haven't had any problem with either Starbright in the Lamy. In fact, they seem to have better flow than the shimmer inks. I wish Diamine had provided more information about how starbright is different than shimmer. One can only assume the difference is that they have more shimmer; but if that was the case, they would clog more in pens. Anyway, since I have two pens dedicated to only shimmer inks, I plan to have at least one shimmer ink every month of 2025.

I havent had any issues with the starbright inks in my extra fine pens ( I inked op every single ink ecept for the lemon and lime and the starbrights were better behaving than most ofbthe standard inks, which seemed a bit dry) anyway had fun here, thanks for the video and happy new year🎉

I am so glad you did this 😂 I love your rankings 🥰 I 100% agree with the scented inks. We need a Peppermint! Or even like a vanilla sugar cookie or something. I'd even love an orange citrus or clove! My favorites are not entirely opposite of you, but I really enjoyed the sheening inks. The Good Tidings was such a great sheening black, I am glad it was the big bottle hehe.

What a GREAT video. I'm a newbie trying to select one dark blue ink, one medium blue ink, and one light blue ink. My dark blue at the moment is Diamine Sargasso Sea and was leaning into Mont Blanc Midnight Blue. Your selection has opened my vista ! Can't wait to see part 2.

Do the empty journaling pages bother you or stress you out at all? I've been journaling/memory keeping in a stalogy and I've been really enjoying the freedom of it. Sometimes I'll journal and sketch every day of the week, and sometimes there can be a few weeks I do nothing. This year I made my husband an advent calendar where every day he has a small paper bag with a treat inside and when he started opening them I took the date sticker that I used to close the bag and added it to my journal with the idea that I would sketch and water color the treat he got. This was fun for the first 1.5 weeks until "fun" became a "chore" and now I have over a week of date stickers in the stalogy with nothing written or drawn for that day. But this made me think about all the planner videos about the Hobonichi cousin, where people fall off filling the daily pages and then stress about the empty ones. And as much as I would love to have a cousing that looks like Helen's from the coffee monster co or L from the common corner I know the dated pages will result in failure and misery when I eventually fall off filling them. So this is why I'm wondering how the empty journaling pages make you feel. Can you embrace the empty ones or do seeing them bring you down? The christmas market place sounded like fun.
