Oooohh spooky! I am really loving all your theming and the color palette choice! Once you finished writing with the Lecoule I was wondering in my heart, how it compares to Profit Jr. And then you said that on the screen! You can read my mind! XD To answer the question - I don't do any theming myself, and just ink whatever I feel like inking! Although I notice that I gravitate towards darker colors now that the temperature is getting cooler. With some sprinkles of lighter colors sometimes :D Have a nice October writing sessions!
I'm actually looking forward to doing just that next month - inking whatever I feel like inking! A theme helps me when I'm a little uninspired but now I have a whole list of combinations that I just want to try next month. Thank you for watching! 😊
I like your spooky choices! What a fun theme. ❤ I actually enjoy the carousels because they’re cheap enough to toss in a bag and not worry if it will get scratched or damaged or not. It gets my FP fix on the go. However, the weight is VERY light, too and I don’t prefer it.
Thank you! And that's indeed a nice use for the carousels. I also like that the cap stays in place very well, so I wouldn't be worried about it coming off even though it's a snap cap.
Really love your spooky palette. 😊 I‘m not going to try to explain my concept in detail… let‘s just say I have all my pens inked up at all times… at least the ones I love. And since that means I have loads of inks and colors in use at all times as well, I have chosen one color per week for the past couple of years. This week it‘s red inks and the respective pens they‘re in. Next weeks it‘s dark blue inks. That being said, I love using seasonal colors… so at the moment it‘s darker, moodier, autumnal colors, from the end of November onwards it will be Christmas colors. In summer I used a lot of turquoise and lighter blues, in spring I love light greens and pinks… like everyone else, I guess… just one color per week and no mixing - at least in my planners. In my journals, I use whatever pen/color I like. 😊
Ooh that sounds like a nice system! Picking one colour and still getting to enjoy various pens and inks, and therefore being able to keep a lot of pens inked up without getting too overwhelmed by choice - sounds like a win/win situation to me!
love the spooky colour palette! 🎃🍂 i tried smth similar for mine this month but just ended up with a sort of autumnal palette. really like the look of Ghost by Diamine!
An autumnal palette still sounds like a win to me 😄 Ghost is honestly one of my favourites, both looking at it on the page but also just how it writes.
Oooooh LOVE all of these! I especially love the look of that Jinhao 82! where did you find that color? I tried to stick to a Halloween/October theme but then it quickly went off the rails when I got some new inks and inked up pens that have no October feels. oh well.
I like the Spooky Choices! That's a really fun theme! I actually have all of my pens inked up pretty much all of the time, usually with the same inks though I rarely use those inks and then I get overwhelmed 🤣. But specifically for October I decided to use more of my Lamy AL-Star Tourmaline with the Tourmaline Ink, and the new Sailor Manyo 3 in Persimmon with the Yu-yake color. I did also ink my Twsbi Eco with the FWP Fluttering Heart Ink--and that pen really writes weird for me, so I don't know if playing around with the tines will fix it or what, but the ink no matter which type of ink it is, it seems to thin out after a little while in that pen, and doesn't give that full vibrancy that I would like. I'm curious--what do you use all of these inks for? Do you have some that are exclusively used for your headers/ dates/ etc? or do you also write pages in those colors as well?
Oooh I've seen the new Manyo 3 in Persimmon online and it looks soooo good! Definitely my favourite from the set. It sounds interesting what's happening with your TWSBI. Mine always does a really good job of keeping the ink nice and vibrant. Hopefully you can fix it, somehow! I actually use all the pens I ink up for journalling, which is also why I tend to only have fine or extra fine nibs (so I can use them on a 3,5mm grid). I tend to stick to one or two colours per double page spread, so that it doesn't look to overwhelming. But maybe I should try inking something up with just headers/dates in mind, that might be fun!
@@ruonpaper Ohhh yeah the Persimmon is one of my favorites--that color combination is stunning. Regarding the TWSBI, I'm going to try your method and maybe to wear it in a bit, but it might be the only pen I get from them because the experience hasn't been phenomenal with their pens. That's great to know about the colors and limiting them to the spreads, thank you for that! I'll give that a try, because right now it's a bit all over the place haha. :)

Lovely palette. The Writer's Blood looks gorgeous 😍 Thanks for the intro to that one!
I'm liking writing with that ink more than I expected! 😊

very nice theme 👻 My favourite of your inks is Ghost! I only have the teeny tiny inkvent bottle, I need to buy one like yours 🖤
Thank you! Haha I only had an even tinier 2ml sample and totally fell in love, so I'm happy that I have a bottle now! 😊

Thank you! I got the Jinhao 82 from this AliExpress listing: aliexpress.com/item/1005005736954489.html . It's the one called 'deepsea green' 😊
