- It was 5pm on a Sunday when the thought hit me, Its sunny outside...
I was packed for a campout, Ramona had a full tank of fuel & we were rolling by 6pm. I had no idea where I was heading but formed a plan on the road. It's been a hell of a stressful couple of months. I have not really caught up with pals yet, I've not played a gig, I've not camped out , I've been a hermit. Just work and hope my daughter continues to heal. She is doing great. I'm going out for fresh air and to breathe.

We bought a Vauxhall Viva Vanette from an old bloke in Hastings in 1982, Drove all over the U.K. Camped out every night. will never forget the midges and stinging knettle.lol. What a laugh we had...

Thanks Paul .. So relieved Meghan doing so well and she looks amazing .. so proud of her . It was real good to get out even for one night . We had a busy Saturday as had our darling Niece over for a sleepover, she is only 4 . So Sunday we just lay around chilling , then half in a daze I looked out the window at 5pm and said let’s go camping , Lisa for once was not down with it and thought it too late in day . But glad I went . It did feel good .

New to yr channel, new sub. Great stuff!!! as a father to 2 beautiful daughters. Im so pleased for you that yr Megans on the mend. My father was in Barts for months they are amazing people. I dont ride a Harley but been riding since 1974 never get enough just got back from a trip down to Stelvio in Italy( plenty of Harleys on the way!!) cant wait to get away on camping trip already. If we dont ride we all end up arseholes!!!! Thanks for the effort you put in on the vids. PS Essex is the best.

Thank you . If someone had said to me a year ago I’d be taking a camera and filming myself camping I’d have laughed out loud . But I actually enjoy the process of filming and editing even more . I’m learning as I go .. but to me it’s the modern day photo album of old times .

Perhaps we can create a list of recommended campsites? I was lucky enough to find Lakeside Leisure in St Clears, Carmarthen a couple of years ago.. it's a great chilled site, a field a young couple bought and they have made a really nice place out of it. They live on diet in a large ramshackle shed, with their dogs and chickens 😊Nothing fancy, not very commercial but a great place to spend the night. Cheap too, if you are near Swansea and looking for somewhere, this is great.
Edit: forget it, it seems it's now permanently closed 🙁 shame!

A great path you have chosen brother. Guitars and motorcycles have saved my life more than i care to remember. Been riding the same electra glide classic for 17 years, been fingerpicking my own music for 55 years. A 1972 takamine 12 string i have could never be replaced. I like the sound of your soul.
