Isn't main story already blown out the cover that kiryu is alive from a vtuber scheme? At this point haruka and other orphans probably saw the tv and know he's alive, and they probably know kiryu involved something big that they can't interact to kiryu
@@roguenoise2718 yup, one of the many weird plotholes. Everyone and their mom saw Kiryu alive on the tatara channel, but nobody acts up on it

Bro, trying his hardest to keep a promise _he_ made is literally Kiryu's core character trait. Kiryu even has a chance to escape the Daidoji in LaD Gaiden but declines due to the fact that _he_ was the one who proposed the idea of dying and doesn't wanna go back on his word.
Okay, building up their reunion little by little through 8 years and then not going through with it is stupid. I don’t care if they met offscreen 10 minute after the last post credit scene. It’s a huge disservice to not let us see it.

Ironically, Date was absolutely the highlight of this one. Kiryu's stubborn ass might not have seen Haruka again, but that heart to heart between Kiryu and Date is one of my favorite scenes in the game. These two have been in it together since the very beginning but they never acknowledged eachother as friends until right here. I cried when Date called Kiryu the best friend he's ever had.
How I wished Kiryu would just take the Daidoji down. The fact he renews his deal even after everything that transpires is crazy (theoretically the whole world knows Kiryu is alive thanks to the videos of him alive and well on the net).
Damn. All this build-up, since 2016 with nothing. 8 years.

At this point, I think the developers of this game just love abusing Kiryu.
What I love about this side content is that it reminds us who Date really is to Kiryu. Their goodbye really reminded you that Date was always there for him since the beginning of the series, even before Kiryu and Haruka had a family bond. This isn't Memories of Haruka. This is Memories of Date, Kiryu's best friend.
Why are so many of these bucket list episodes not getting closure? This is more like ajar.

Is it that hard to give a happy ending to Kiryu Kazuma?
Not being able to be with the woman he loves, not being able to meet and reunite with his daughter, I'm really disappointed with this game.
Feels like they wrote all these before the story beat of Kiryu being revealed by the Tatara channel was even a concept in the plot. Given the only life link that takes that into account is the Nakajima one.
Just makes it more clear they've no idea what they're doing with Kiryu or the Daidoji at the moment. The Daidoji may as well be a different organisation from the one in Gaiden. I know they're losing power compared to then but its kind of ridiculous how lenient they are on Kiryu in 8 until the end of the life links.
This is more of a Date's farewell compared to Haruka's, and I gotta say it's still a good end for this side story
We need gaiden game where all Kiryu friend destroy daidoji faction, and i hope Akiyama is the lead

Kiryu will fall in love in lad 9 and then get cucked out of it by a man named Jeff. He then asks the daidoji to bring her back to him at the cost of all of his friends having to leave him and forget everything, he of course accepts this deal. Then the person he fell in love with will have sex with the main villain, she then has children with him and admits to it, but actually none of that was real and it was just the result of hypnotising and random children they picked up from an orphanage.
I don't know about other people, but I bawled so much at the ending of this. This isn't a Haruka Life Link, this is Date's, and Date is a true friend.

The ending of the game made me so mad, I invested so many hours with the thinking that the end will be worth it when I see Kiryu reunite with Haruka only for RGG to tease it and not deliver. just like your pinned comment, I've never been more mad at a yakuza game. They played us not showing the reunion between them, smh

As much as i liked the game,the Kiryu and Haruka reunion was a disappointment. I know they met at the hospital offscreen but still,that ending was pretty trashy
