@@2fz38 I recently played through the yakuza series again and when I saw your comment, I remember a specific scene that stuck with me. Yakuza has a bunch of memorable scenes but mine was in yakuza 5 where it was kiryu and saejima on top of new serena. The whole yakuza 5 game as a whole shows a very dark and lonely side of kiryu and it's saejima who steps up to help him. Because he is able to empathize with kiryu and also mirroring when kiryu helped him overcome grief in yakuza 4. In the game, kiryu doesn't get to see haruka or his other kid's in the orphanage for the fact that he is a yakuza. He even compares it to the time he spent in prison in the first game. But this time it's different, to him it felt lonelier now then when he was in prison. At least in prison he still had nishiki, kazama, and yumi to go back to. Jump back to 5 and he still does, the kid's at the orphanage and haruka. But it's the fact that he has distance and lie to himself, to put up a front that it doesn't effect him even though it really does. That's why he felt so lonely. Yakuza 7 made me have mixed feelings about kiryu coming back. On one hand I'm happy for him that at least his friend's in the yakuza side: majima, saejima, and daigo (and also watase I guess) know he is alive and well. On the other it's a bit heartbreaking that he is still unable to come back to his family and watch them grow. Cause to them and the rest of the world. He is dead.

In Y3 she only appears in the intro and few messages. And in Y4/Y5, she only appears as a fleeting one dialogue mention. In Y6, she literally doesn't exist, like Kiryu doesn't even remember anything about her, it's stupid.
They did acknowledge her albeit a bit too late, kaoru is a trooper card in the latest Ishin Kiwami. I guess the decision was made by the the current RGG studio team which was just formed a year back.

If you prefer challenging games: Start with Yakuza 0, followed with Kiwami 1. If you prefer streamlined/modern games: Go straight to Kiwami 2 but you will miss important character backstory.
Yakuza is quite a story progressing games. If you the type that skip cutscene and just in for gameplay, you may have the hard times to keep going. But if you enjoy games story, then you in for a trip.
I started my yakuza journey with 0, since it was also on sale for 5 dollars on steam, and oh boy i was blown away. I would consider this as one of the best narrative in any single player games i have played. Yakuza kiwami kinda follows up with 0 but it was ok since it was the remake of the original first yakuza game, so narrative is going to be a little bit weaker compare to 0, but its still a good experience.
I dont think they are yakuza, just punks. Yakuza, like Mafia, are organized crime so probably wouldnt do something silly like attack a police officer and draw unwanted attention.

never seen her after in like 10 years or even more
It's always Sotenbori.....
I still can't move on from Kiryu x Yumi
I wanted that female character to be the badass or join in the fight , but I know officers are not fighters like street thugs
I guess minor spoiler regarding her for people who just played YK2 only.
Even if they don't want to brought her back, at the very least I wished that they acknowledged her to some degree.
I guess the decision was made by the the current RGG studio team which was just formed a year back.
its not a problem for me who enjoy the Challengge of the game
I fuckin love kaoru dammit
4:49-4:51 Looking for thumbnail?
Wholesome
I only just realised... Kiryu was putting his cans between them both so she can't get closer to him when he could very easily have put them on his other side so she could sit next to him. He was soft rejecting her from the get-go...
I just want the date scene song :(
5:00 how tf did she do that😂😂😂
Can't believe they made him single so unreal
So that's who Eri's costume is based off of
You didn't lnow it ?
I get why she left, her story was more or less over after 2 so if she stuck around she wouldn't have much to do anyway, but I still wish kaoru stuck around. God knows Kiryu had a better chance at a future with her than he does Majima. That dude is nothing but bad endings XD
The only Female Character that I truly love, next to Haruka 🥺❤️
Yo, I keep seeing and hearing about Yakuza games, is it any good guys? Because I'm interested but at the same time hesitant to play the game.
If you prefer challenging games:
Start with Yakuza 0, followed with Kiwami 1.
If you prefer streamlined/modern games:
Go straight to Kiwami 2 but you will miss important character backstory.
@@man3k Thank you for the help friend. The information you gave me was intriguing to the point where I'll be downloading Yakuza 0.
@@bryanho8938 Are you freaking Serious ???
IT'S A MASTERPIECE SERIES
Yakuza is quite a story progressing games. If you the type that skip cutscene and just in for gameplay, you may have the hard times to keep going. But if you enjoy games story, then you in for a trip.
I started my yakuza journey with 0, since it was also on sale for 5 dollars on steam, and oh boy i was blown away. I would consider this as one of the best narrative in any single player games i have played. Yakuza kiwami kinda follows up with 0 but it was ok since it was the remake of the original first yakuza game, so narrative is going to be a little bit weaker compare to 0, but its still a good experience.
lol yakuza gang up on a police detective for fun? that's something new
I dont think they are yakuza, just punks. Yakuza, like Mafia, are organized crime so probably wouldnt do something silly like attack a police officer and draw unwanted attention.
I think they are more like hangure
@@BraveNewWorldRB lol learn something new every day. You could be right since the yakuza started to be in decline from the 90s and the IT bubble helped give a rise to hangure.
These guys also have alot of confidence in their strength that they would risk messing with the police when regular punks would probably flee.
@@heartblade8925 I think its really well shown in Yakuza Like a dragon where all the yakuza either get destroyed by the enforced laws or operate in the "grey" area. A lot of the people throwing punches are not a "suit wearing" stereotypical yakuzas and more like low income/education street thugs.
The main character doesn't even have a faction, opposed to Kiryu who was technically always part of the yakuza during the bubble era.
@@BraveNewWorldRB yeah, its a think in organized crime to have the high ranking officials (suits) stay in more grey businesses while the foot soldiers are involved in more violent crime.
I didnt think were yakuza because the actions they are taking are really really stupid. If they were yakuza, it would bring alot of heat on the family and they would not want that. Hangure, I dont know enough about them but they seem more "morally flexible" so they may be doing such things.
Girl wanted it so badly ... But dude is 💪
I never noticed until now... Kiryu puts his cans between them both so she cant get closer to him from where she's sat at... he could very easily have put them on his other side so she could sit next to him. He was soft rejecting her from the get-go.
Does anyone know the BGM song? Around 5:36 or so on and also from the rooftop conversation scene
oh my gah lewd handholding
Kiryu width: Atleast 2 Kaoru
Kiryu's Virginity: Somehow still his... Until now
I'm crying
