Finally! Someone who agrees with me on my wheel choice. I've been looking for the perfect wheel past 5 years now. I would like to paint match a set OR all chrome xjr wheels. There are a few champagne wheels at 5x120.65. Can't be any bigger than 18". What would you suggest?
You gotta have some mechanical. The swap was actually pretty easy to do. I may have done it the difficult way first. Or if you want an lS swapped jaguar, I know where there's one at!
The wiring was actually pretty easy. All you need to tap into is the tac, oil pressure and a/c low side wires. These wires are color coded on the original jaguar ecu plug. Just cut then attach the same ones to your LS harness. I was surprised how easy it actually was. It's almost as if the LS power train belongs in this car because everything lines up Including power steering hook up

Any issues with the power steering pressure?
Great job. How did you get all the gauges to work. GM to Jag electronics seems like a punishment
It was real easy. The swap kit tells you what wires to crimp to your ls harness. There were only a few to do. Oil pressure, tac, speedometer ect.
My next challenge is to do LS swap to my 3.2l 99 xj8 only downside is that I have no experience of engine swapping😅

Hi! Where did you do that? I have a 1999 VDP and interested in a engine swap.
Go to jaguarspecialst.com. That's where I got the swap kit. Junk that stock engine and transmission. Do this instead. Was easy
I got rid of those ugly chrome wheels and paint matched a set of XJR wheels.
How hard was the conversion with the kit ?

Has anybody ever dropped an LS motor in a 2012 or 13 xjl jaguar. And what would it take?
If I remember right the kit only works with 2000 and earlier jags. The electronics become more of a mess in later years.
