Am I the only one who after I "one phase it" with yoimiya and get him to his shield phase and destroy that shield he always, without fail goes tornado mode on me in which he is also invulnerable for at least 40 seconds leaving me with no energy on my characters and roughly 2 second left to kill him even though I beat the first half in like 45 seconds????? Like Ive tried well over 50 times and not once did he not go tornado on me leaving me without any chance to get 3 stars
Hey you’re definitely not alone. That’s a common problem if you get him into the shield phase just under his HP threshold, and you don’t have enough DPS to burst him down from 65% to 0 while he’s stunned. I go over this in my 12-2 guide video (ruclips.net/video/YCPuJJQTAUk/видео.html ), but what I recommend doing is taking him to right around 75% on your first rotation, and then on his next move, try to get him as low as possible. This will allow you to enter the shield phase at closer to 35-40% HP, which should be more manageable to finish off during his stun phase.
He's not invulnerable in tornado I think, I'm almost sure that I could use Ganyu charged attacks into tornado, dunno if Yoimiya normal attacks work though
@@cynth4941 Yup you’re correct! You can still deal damage to him during his tornado attack, it’s just that you take so much damage if you get caught up in it that’s it’s difficult to do so safely. With a strong on-field healer, you could actually stand in the tornado for a while and deal some damage to finish him off, for example with a Kuki Hyperbloom team with Barbara or Kokomi attacking/healing on-field.
i just tanked the tornado phase with yoimiya zhongli barb and xinqiu, also I tried to deal as much dmg between phases as possible. It's doable but you need a good shielder + healer that will constantly regen you and zhongli + barb is perfect for the job
The most obnoxious thing that we can't do anything about us that they keep putting bosses with highly random attack patterns like the Wolflord and Ruin Serpent in the second half, so you have to redo the whole first half of you need a certain pattern. >:(
Add the Thundering Manifestation to that list. They need to keep Inazuma's and The Chasm's bosses out of the Abyss. They're clearly not conducive to the DPS check nature of the Abyss.
I tried golden wolflord 150 times and never got the right attack pattern. It NEVER started with triple dash. Ps: That's my Tribute to the random attack pattern Argument
@@jyolikearock_ also putting those HP eating hounds in first half significantly increases difficulty compared to them being on third floor: usually you just lose way too much HP without a healer if they're in first half
for those struggling, you can repeat your floor 12 runs bringing different teams specific for each chamber. once you 3 star a chamber, it's cleared at 3 stars permanently. spiral abyss wouldn't take away your stars even if you zero star them.
One more tip: The hp threshold for his shield phase is around the letter e in "the" word of his name. If you don't want him to go to his shield phase, damage him to the point his hp is around the letter "e" and stop attacking. If the threshold isn't passed, it will go to the swirling cyclone attack. You gotta make sure that you can finish him off before he finishes his cyclone attack cuz if you can't he'll go to shield mode. Make sure you have enough dps before attempting this
Another tips: You can easily destroy the 3 beacons using only Zhongli by simply holding his e besides the 1st beacon (cast the pillar besides the beacon, not on top of it) and immediately leave it there, use burst on the 2nd beacon, and by the time you reach the 3rd beacon, his pillar cd has already finished so you can use it again :)
I break them by tapping e from point blank range. This will place the pillar behind the beacon and hit it at the same time, damaging 2/3 of it's hp. After one pulse from the pillar, the beacon breaks. Repeat for beacon #2. Then burst the last beacon because the meteor has far more range, plus I have noblesse equipped to set up all my bursts for the big damage opening.
Something I've seen people do to line up their pillar placement when clearing the 3 skulls with zhongli is they walk up to the side of the skull until they can't walk any further and then they press e while facing the skull, and the pillar will spawn on the other side of the skull. The pillar spawns close enough to hit it with the initial geo instance and the subsequent geo pulses, but it doesn't spawn on the skull and break.
The tip I share here is very simple, but is something I've personally seen make the difference for getting the clear time under the 3-minute cutoff, considering how tight the timings for this boss are. I didn't go over some of the more commonly known mechanics such as its Corrosion effect and cracking the Geo Skulls, because I felt that most other guides have already covered these topics thoroughly. I hope that my tip can be the difference-maker for those who are 20-30 seconds short of their 3-star clear.
I restarted my runs plenty of times till I got the perfect circumstances which allowed me to clear it with 7:02 on the timer. In my other runs with the same team when the circumstances were different like the boss opening, attack patterns etc, I was about to clear in 6:40ish. Just to say that it is worth it to just reset the chamber. 20 seconds makes a huge difference. My team was Nahida, Xingqiu, kuki and zhongli if anyone wonders. Bonus tip if you use zhongli. When you need to use geo attacks against the 3 wolfs, do not hold the elemental skill else you will have to wait for his entire cd to end. Just tap and place the pillar, run to the other wolf head and wait for the previous one to die then use your burst on the second one. Then on the third one, most of the time you will want to wait for the aoe attack from the boss to end then place your pillar near the third wolf. Run to the boss and make your setups. Once he goes down, just burst him and hope for the best.
Thank you so much for the tips. I only managed to get 35* because of the wolflord. I tried the abyss again after I was done upgrading Childe's talents and I was able to get 3* in this chamber.
If you have her, Yun Jins 2nd level charge skill can take out a wolf head each during the shield phase. Using a tall male to run to each gives enough time to get past the cool down of her skill and shaved a lot of time off for me. Best of luck!
I used yae, her turrets are super effective, they can deal dmg continuosly. My teams for this floor are Raiden national for the 1 st and hutao, yae , zhongly án yunji for the second
horrible team synergies lol like for what reasons there is yunjin there when hutao mostly using her charged attack? we already know that overload reaction is sht but people still using it nowadays? and unless u have c6 zhongli i dont think u will survive on the next corrosion floor esp hutao lmao
@@taru5156 I have survived corrosion with hu tao multiple times without a healer. She’s actually pretty self-sustainable - whenever she’s about to die, you pop a burst and your HP is instantly maxed (esp since there’s multiple enemies with the wolves, a bunch of HP will be gained back). Plus, she defeats enemies so fast it’s not a big problem most of the time.
I used a meltyu with zhongli and nahida for that part, and managed to break the wolf beacons with zhongli surprisingly fast, his ult one-shots one of them and you just put pillars next to the two other ones.
Worth mentioning that Yunjin hold E one-shots a skull. Dendro traveler E does 2/3 of a skull. You can then use traveler NA combo and the last hit applies geo to destroy the skull, or big brain you can place the E between the skull and wolflord and he will break it, which deals damage again and breaks the skull. Thanks for the guide!
with the blessing of this phase, most mainstream teams can beat the wolflord at once. You just need to consume its 30% hp first (consume more as you can, but no more than 30%, bc it will make it enter the shield phase. you can refer to the right edge of the time icon to see if you‘ve consumed more) and then wait for it spraying laser again. when it sprays laser for the second time, start your combo right away, bc it prolly will swing its tail after that, which prolongs the time of your combo
I just tried that Nahida / Barbara team for that fight and the last one, and for the first time in this version I could get 36 stars without a brain aneurysm so thank you o/
Simple and solid strat like this is very underrated! Tips and tricks like this help a lot of newer players clear the abyss easier and resetting if the opener is not ideal is a smart move. annoying but helpful and does not cost you primogems and resources to actually do instead of say bringing a specific character, right?
Great guide. I really thought you were gonna say "you need to get better at the game" when you apologized early, which is not wrong in my case (have a C0 Ganyu with Amost bow and i cant aim). Gonna definitely try this a few times tomorrow on the Abyss and will do some practice runs in the world boss itself. Thanks :D
Thanks to your tutorial I could finally 36 star this abyss for the first time after more than 2 years playing. I hope next abyss I can do it without having to switch teams for this very specific chamber.
I've fought GW 3 times, and 2 of those were coop, so when I saw him I knew it would be painful 😭 thank you for your very helpful vid (and ty also comments for extra tips)! Also, I've had Rosaria C6 for a long time now and she always gets pushed back for others on my roster. Now, she's def getting her level up next thanks to you 🤗
4:30 pretty much also my strat on the mechanical array if I need to buy more time for the second team. If the aura isn't on the floating triangular robot that dashes backward, I immediately restart.
I don’t really struggle getting 36 stars, but these were still helpful tips, I never realized his second stack is always the laser! Very helpful video :D
Such a frustration abyss cycle, thanks for the tips and I can admit that I am one of those players who make the mistake to trigger the burts late, will give your tips a go, coz I’m at worlds end and was about to call it quits for this cycle
Ningguang was my first c6 character, she makes this fight much easier. The real pain in the ass is how many bosses have invulnerable states in which you can’t do anything but wait, like spawning or phase switching, Maguu Kenki and mechanical array are pretty bad IMO.
me with C3 Raiden Hypercarry deleting the boss in about 6 secs....🤷♂but for real tho.. just watch the timer and start your rotation after counting down 14/15 secs, or if you want a visual cue, start when the nose of the boss is almost near you 2:44, also a lot of players don't seem to know, if you're on the PC, you can hit ALT + NUMBER it instantly use their burst... don't have to switch then hit Q, that also saves a 1sec or 2 overall, so for me personally 1. Raiden E at 2:44 - apply electro 2. Alt 2 - Kazuha burst - swirl electro before he flys up 3. Alt 3 - Bennett burst - as the boss is doing is snakey like movements 4. Alt 4 - Sara burst - worn out just in time to get hit by burst - this depends on if i was pushed by the boss during bennett's burst, if i get pushed out of the field, then i run into the field before I burst, if not, then i do E first, that way i can buff Sara's burst damage, then Sara's burst will then in turn buff Raiden, squeezing in a bit of extra damage, its good practice to hone your situational awareness 5. Alt 1 - Raiden burst - bye bye boss. now obviously this won't work if you cant one cycle the boss so you will need a geo character to break the shield, but the general tip is still the same
another tip i got from someone skilled: "if you can deal more than 1 million dps in one rotation, hit thr boss until it's hit point reach just before the letter R in its name, then it will not go into shield phase, but you are going to get another dps window, and finish it at that time!"
one of the trick is to damage him little by little and stop at 71% health, which is like a bit in front of the letter E from his title under his name (Nameless King of The Rift, right after 'e' in the word 'the'). When he's
Ya, these AOE > single-target > AOE Floors are always frustrating to deal with. My advice is always to take it one Chamber at a time. Work on 3-starring Chamber 3 first with a team that’s optimal just for that Chamber, taking as much time as you need on Chamber 2. After you’ve 3-starred Chamber 3, you can forget about it forever! And now you can cater a team toward clearing Chamber 2, where Yoimiya might be able to come in.
@@jyolikearock_ Woah that's a new approach for clearing abyss. I always have this mindset that I should form a team to clear it in one go and I am stuck with national variants and hutao vape.
@@jyolikearock_ hold on, you mean i can just half ass the first 2 floor (assuming i have cleared them both and got 3 stars) and the just straight up try to use the most optimal team for the third floor? Does that actually works and counts as getting 12 stars? If i understand this correctly, my first attemp got: 1 floor = 3* 2 floor = 3* 3 floor = 2* And then if i were to try for the second time and got: 1 floor = 1* 2 floor = 2* 3 floor = 3* That would still counts as getting 12* total. Is that correct?
@@tidusyukimura8679 Yup exactly. It only cares about the highest star rating for each Chamber you’ve EVER gotten for that season. So it doesn’t have to be in all one run. It’s the first tip I give to anyone who is trying to 36-star the Abyss. And it’s especially helpful in seasons like this one where the 3rd and 2nd Chambers have somewhat different styles of enemies (AOE vs single-target).
Hm, good thought. But, have you wonder that the boss have some mechanics that few people picked up? People who don't use geo might have picked it up. Pattern/mechanic Attack the boss until HP is below the first capital R from the right. Then the boss will continue with another laser attack. This is when you start to setup and attack all the way without the boss going to shield phase (because you killed it)
I finish now this abyss. I'm using ayato nahida yunjin and kuki.. Ayato rain and kuki hyperbloom can do decent damage while boss keeps flying, mind go after the random blooms in the ground.. if it lands the rest of the combo is just yunjin ult and ayato slashes.. And this team is very good for aoe damage for last chamber.
Most boses in genshin like to wasting time. I think it would be better if they enter into long invulnerability state or transformation the timer would just pause. That would help.
i just use mono geo tbh, i've used this team twice now in both abyss refreshes with hyperbloom comp on team 1 and it never failed me lol im just glad i don't have to retry for 36 stars. bless itto and his unga bunga.
I'm a mid spender - for most my fav 5* (C0, excluding HuTao who is C1 which I got double multi) I have their signature weapons. I had lots of luck on the weapon banner, but still, I spent some money on this game. The only reason I was able to 36* Abbys is that I found out that Yunjin on fully charged E takes the head, and the cd is just right - it ends when I reach another head. I have Yunjin because I like Ayato a lot and I built her as support for him... Even though I have really well built characters, I struggeled in this abbys. I had to reset it like 35 times, because I wasn't getting the triple dash and it was THE ONLY way for me to defeat it. I hate how abbys is very often made - in favour of certain character that is currently on the banner (well, this abbys was clearly made for itto). I don't mind if the abbys buff is not something I can use and is favouring the certain type of characters, but doing the whole floor for that is unfair. Not to mention, that I was able to clear the first chamber in like 40 seconds and then, I bearly was able to fit in time.
Some quick tips I picked up fighting this BS. 1. Yae. She will fight him on the ground, in the air, on the beaches, wherever he goes. Also great for Ruin Serpent since she can hit underground (but Oz can't for some reason). 2. Yoimiya and Ganyu (I know, Captain Obvious to the rescue). 3. Yunjin can one-shot 3 skulls with her fully charged counter and moving between them is just short of her skill cooldown. My best team for this is Yoimiya, Fischl (or Yae), Yelan (Xingqui) and Yunjin. Only limiting factor is Yelan's ER.
Another tip: if you have a REALLY high dps team such as national, you can one phase the whole thing. Its very difficult for f2p but I managed to one phase it in overworld with fischl national and since raiden is basically a slightly better fischl, it's entirely possible without geo. Granted if you have really good artifacts, my raiden has 68 - 150 crit ratio and 260 er, also for players without enough resolve for raiden can run fav lance on xianling for extra energy for resolve, if you can't catch the particles in time, you can open up the wish screen since particles travel even if the game is paused, don't do it in co op tho
1:16 Wait, why would Hyperbloom Nahida need an EM build? Her burst's EM buff is based on the EM stat of the character in the team with the highest EM, which is usually the Hyperbloom trigger who's already buit with 900+ EM, so Nahida herself doesn't need a full EM build to get the full benefit of her burst, therefore letting her spec into her personal damage by sporting a traditional DPS build (EM/Dendro DMG/Crit). The same applies if she's in any team with a full EM Anemo support.
Hey, great question. Independent of her EM-buffing passive, her own off-field damage is maximized when she's using a full EM build, with CR/CD substats. EM has incredible value on her since her Skill damage and her A4 passive both scale off of it. When she's on-field and using a lot of Normal/Charged attacks, then a Dendro + CR build starts to win out.
@@jyolikearock_ this is correct. Nahida on field is a niche build for screenshots.. Tricarma is the real nahida DPS output which scales from EM and her passive make totally unnecessary CRIT hat and dendro cup..
For those who have these characters, the following team is ridiculously good: Nahida kuki Kokomi yae miko. Mikos turrets constantly fire at it, while kokomis auto attacks follow him, dropping cores on the ground which you can trigger with your 1k em kuki. I don't remember if I hit the shield phase or skipped it honestly, but i think constant elemental attacks also damage the wolf heads or something.
I’ve been thinking about building Miko… but the only team I can use her with would have to be like.. a Yelan electro charge team with Xingqiu and Fischl.. but at that point wouldn’t an anemo character be better than Miko there 😞 of course the one time I was hoping to lose 50/50, I actually won so now I have this Miko with no real use
I use a hyperbloom team with Nahida/Kuki/Yelan. You can use anyone in the 4th slot as those 3 characters are the only ones you need to proc hyperbloom. As so you can throw in any Geo character to counter the wolf. I used Noelle as her shields are useful in the 12-3 with all the amount of rifthounds.
Tenacity Zhongli, Xingqiu, ttds Barbara, and Hu Tao worked for me against Wolflord. The corrosion helps keep Hu Tao below 50% hp while Barbara is good at emergency healing for everyone when all are near death lmao.
I used to have SO much trouble defeating it but wanderer changed that for me. I just use Wanderer, itto, zhongli, and kokomi and get 36 stars no problem.
man when they put some boss with rng mechanic at 2nd half is anoying as hell. thanks for the tips btw this good for someone who especially have barely fire power that clutch abyss time clear like.... close to 10-5 second
Usually I just use Itto bc he is my only built geo dps that has good geo application + during shield phase Albedo skill CD and Gorou's arrows are fast enough to get the shield off. This time (second 3.3 abyss) I wanted to use my Eula team again. Problem is I never truly tried to properly one phase the boss with Eula. She does too much dmg with normal attacks and instantly gets it to shield mode which is not good if you use her burst because often he's too high up or shielded when it goes off. Finally realized other people let it do that charge attack you suggested, then I timed my attacks such that Eula's first skill managed to hit it, then burst/hold skill, and normal attacks the rest of the way. This time around her burst missed a few straggling hits and didn't get all of its hp, but thankfully Raiden's burst could ult and get that last bit before the shield could get up. Videos like this made me realize I was looking at the boss phases/timing all wrong
The teams that helped me finish this floor in 1 minute and 15 seconds: First half (25-30 sec): Raiden C3, Kazuha C0, Sara C6, Bennett C6 Second half (45-50 sec): Tighnari C0 (Prototype Crescent), Yae C0, Nahida C2, Kuki C4 It took me many tries to take the wolf down before it spawned its invincible shield. You have to time your attacks very precisely so that you don't trigger the shield too early and pray that the Wolf's RNG moveset is in your favor; for my Tighnari team, the tail swipe atk is the most favorable opening move, it always leads to the laser atk which is when I unleash Tighnari's burst and skill, Yae's burst, and Kuki's burst (aggravate build). The tail swipe/laser atk combo gives you more time to collect particles from Yae's totems and Nahida's trigger hits when it's in the air before it comes down. Tighnari's homing arrows can help you score some extra dmg after it gets back up so I tend to leave that move for last if it hasn't died. If you deplete about 1/4 of its hp before it comes down, he'll spawn the shield right away, so you would best spend that first 15-20 seconds or so setting up Nahida's skill and burst and Yae's skill. It was a fun challenge.
The most annoying part about this abyss is that the bosses are alternating between the first and second halves and my teams are unfortunately either AOE or single target focused so it's really annoying to kill the wolflord on chamber 2 with my single target team and on chamber 3 having to kill 15 wolves.
I feel you. I can't finish off those rifts with my yoimiya or hu tao, i had to use my aoe party set and glad that it worked both of the wolf lord and floor 12 chamber 3
Itto, gorou, ganyu and albedo. Gorou can heal at higher constellations, and every ganyu charged shot procs albedo skill damage while boss is in the field. Itto is there when the boss is vulnerable
Times I have fought Golden Wolflord outside of Abyss: 1, when the boss was part of some new event. Times I have killed Golden Wolflord in Abyss: 1, and told myself I would never do that crap again. Times Wolflord has appears in Abyss: more than 1. Times I have simply chosen not to complete Abyss because of the Wolflord: at least 1.
Why are your characters only at level 80 and your true talent levels are only at level 8? An easy tip would be to just level stuff up and do more damage by default. I always clear him with Zhongli, Hu Tao, Kazuha, and Yelan. Kazuha increases elemental dmg and application with his burst. Hu Tao and Yelan will burst him down and both of them will benefit from Kazuha no matter which element is swirled. Yelan's barb shot arrow and elemental skill can do some chip damage when he's flying around. Her elemental burst can still hit him, at times, while he's flying and her arrow normal attacks can do some minor chip dmg. Zhongli keeps the team alive and provides stagger resistance. His burst can immediately clear one wolf head during the shield phase while his pillar pulses can rid of the other two fairly quickly.
i believe it is the RNG attack pattern, i was casually doing my abyss with nilou team, without geo ofc, then just mindlessly doing nilou thing and gave up on 3 stars because i know breaking the shield would be pain, but, ackkhhhtually, i managed to 3 stars it,,, so weird,,, but well i take it,,,
There are only two things to defeat this boss 1. Your first team don't fuck up. Clear the chamber in atleast 45 seconds 2. Doesn't matter, just bring a geo character except noelle
i think mihoyo is literally incompetent at designing challenging content, having 8 seconds burst time its not based of skill but power creep, where we also add the random need of random elemnts such a geo in the middle of floor 12
I am always struggling to defeat the wolflord tips i use if you dont have zhongli or albedo use ningguang, first full star both of the first and third floor with any team comp focus on those 2 floor first (need a lot of patience to break the beacon without geo) after that bring your best dps that doesn't really rely on team or only need 1-2 chara to support it (raiden or ganyu for example) and walla just focus on the second floor try to save time from the first phase of second floor and break the beacon easily with ning just give her a TTODS and hp artifacts she will be fine (i use lvl 40ning X)
The way I do this one (and I know is very specific to me and a few people out there but) I just Ningguang it, haven't had any problems with it so far only the many wolfs in the next chamber
Idk if anyone has it happened to them but if you atk the boss with some burst during the initial time when he is coming down it always goes for that dashing thing
This is a really good guide! I did a speedrun of Spiral Abyss back in 2.5 for a contest to try to win some primos, and after about an hour of experimentation, basically came down to the same conclusion you did: precasting rotations is really crucial. Even our skill sequence for National is basically the same! Footage: ruclips.net/video/u8OQX0Axflc/видео.html (I did win those primos for anyone wondering)
Fking wolflord. I couldn't fight the bloody wolflord with mono-geo (C6 Noelle, C0 Albedo . C0 Zhongli, C6 Gorou). After loosing 50/50 on Wanderer's weapon banner I got the Redhorn. I spend 50+ fragile resin to kit them. THANK YOU for the vid!!! I tried with Barbara, Kuki, Nahida, Ning and it went like a charm!
I don’t mind the extremely buffed floors but what I hate is how the primosgems aren’t given at 1 star. The avg player would just want to get the primos and be done with it. This is a casual game and should stay relatively casual. And for those who are able to 3 star it should be given a guaranteed cr or cd 5 star artifact.
After many attemps I barely made it with Zhongli / Itto / Albedo / Bennet. I hate when they put this kind of bosses that have high defense for some seconds (Maguu Kenki, Golden Wolflord, Ruin Serpent, etc). However, even with this annoying dog, I prefer this abyss over the last one.
Hoyo needs to fix this boss specifically for abyss. Even the overworked boss isn't this annoying and i can one phase the boss in the overworked with yoimiya vap. It ahould be a dps check, not 'bow to me pheasant!" Kinda mechanic where u gotta wait for the idiot snake of a wolf to not swing his frickin tail or throw his minions down. Last abyss cycle i only got 32 stars after a very long time of 36 starring. After i got fed up with the wolf lord trying quadrillion times, i quit abyss and never touched it. So it stayed floor 12-2 for the whole other days until abyss reset.
I struggle more with 12-3-2 than this boss just purely because the single geo disrupts what is probably most optimal for 12-3-2. For now my go to quick clear for 2nd half is Keqing (Keqing Main), Nahida, Zhongli, Kokomi.
Was able to 1 cycle it with Ganyu Melt, but it's so inconsistent to fight, and the first half is overall just so annoying for the teams I have. That and if you can't 1 cycle it, you're forced to use a geo character, and a healer, especially for the next chamber. I really hate the wolves in this game. Except for Boreas. Boreas is very fluffy, and squishy. This is the worst abyss for me, in that it doesn't let me play around with the teams I've built. I think it's also one of the most difficult? Idrk, but it's just annoying to do. First half is fun though.
If it started using that dash attack then yeah. But I haven't learned where that attack lands yet though. Gotta do some practice runs I suppose. I had to retry everytime it uses the skull atk first. It adds around 10 seconds more to the time wasted because it's too high up to get hit. It's more annoying than challenging.
If mihoyo sales revenue drop They will create a boss that invulnerable for 60 sec so we can only have 30 sec to 36 star abyss If f2p can still 36 star it, they will unleash new one that have 75 sec of invulnerbility
This chamber is kinda annoying but you get used to it. One mistake in your rotation and you'd be caught with your pants down. The Geo requirement is also pretty limiting. My solution? Healer Ningguang, R5 Proto Amber 2ToTM2OHC HP/HP/HB. Works quite well, it lets you heal your team for a good amount but you just have to watch your team's HP at all times.
Great suggestion to put PAmber on Ningguang - also one of my favorites. Since I see you’re using HP artifacts on Ningguang, just want to point out that Ningguang’s own HP does not affect the amount that PAmber heals. The heal amount is based on the max HP of each character receiving the heal. The Healing Bonus on Ningguang DOES help though, so that’s worth keeping.

The most obnoxious thing that we can't do anything about us that they keep putting bosses with highly random attack patterns like the Wolflord and Ruin Serpent in the second half, so you have to redo the whole first half of you need a certain pattern. >:(
Seriouslyyy. They can keep the difficulty level exactly the same and save so much wasted time for all players if they’d just flip the sides.
Add the Thundering Manifestation to that list.
They need to keep Inazuma's and The Chasm's bosses out of the Abyss. They're clearly not conducive to the DPS check nature of the Abyss.
The serpent is so bad because it spends half its time underground
I tried golden wolflord 150 times and never got the right attack pattern. It NEVER started with triple dash.
Ps: That's my Tribute to the random attack pattern Argument
@@jyolikearock_ also putting those HP eating hounds in first half significantly increases difficulty compared to them being on third floor: usually you just lose way too much HP without a healer if they're in first half
for those struggling, you can repeat your floor 12 runs bringing different teams specific for each chamber. once you 3 star a chamber, it's cleared at 3 stars permanently. spiral abyss wouldn't take away your stars even if you zero star them.
hacks haha

One more tip: The hp threshold for his shield phase is around the letter e in "the" word of his name. If you don't want him to go to his shield phase, damage him to the point his hp is around the letter "e" and stop attacking. If the threshold isn't passed, it will go to the swirling cyclone attack. You gotta make sure that you can finish him off before he finishes his cyclone attack cuz if you can't he'll go to shield mode. Make sure you have enough dps before attempting this
Interesting.. I’ll give it a try
what "e"??
@@FNJess His name "Nameless king of the Rift", this is the "e of the" which seems to indicate the threshold for his shield.
it's around 70% of HP
@@FNJess .Blabla thE
Another tips: You can easily destroy the 3 beacons using only Zhongli by simply holding his e besides the 1st beacon (cast the pillar besides the beacon, not on top of it) and immediately leave it there, use burst on the 2nd beacon, and by the time you reach the 3rd beacon, his pillar cd has already finished so you can use it again :)
This is a great tip! Thank you for sharing that
I break them by tapping e from point blank range.
@@O_RLY ahh I think it's better this way, his skill cd will be shorter
also save his burst for this
Thank you so much for this tip!
Yup. Going right next to it while tapping E works like a charm.
This saves me a lot of time, thank you so much!
I play on playstion and I only have 2 minutes and 40 seconds because enemies take 10 seconds to spawn

I agree, having the same experience.
horrible team synergies lol like for what reasons there is yunjin there when hutao mostly using her charged attack? we already know that overload reaction is sht but people still using it nowadays? and unless u have c6 zhongli i dont think u will survive on the next corrosion floor esp hutao lmao
Thanks for the guide!
yo i really like the way you make guides, please keep making videos!
with the blessing of this phase, most mainstream teams can beat the wolflord at once. You just need to consume its 30% hp first (consume more as you can, but no more than 30%, bc it will make it enter the shield phase. you can refer to the right edge of the time icon to see if you‘ve consumed more) and then wait for it spraying laser again.
when it sprays laser for the second time, start your combo right away, bc it prolly will swing its tail after that, which prolongs the time of your combo
even though i managed to 36 star this rotation, this was still quite helpful! great guide man
I just tried that Nahida / Barbara team for that fight and the last one, and for the first time in this version I could get 36 stars without a brain aneurysm
so thank you o/
I hope next abyss I can do it without having to switch teams for this very specific chamber.

the worst part about this abyss is yoimiya wrecked the wolflord but has no aoe for the small rifthounds on the next chamber 😑
I usually carry another team tailored for a specific chamber whenever that happens.
yeah i had this problem with tighnari - guess it just requires retries with different teams for different chambers

The real pain in the ass is how many bosses have invulnerable states in which you can’t do anything but wait, like spawning or phase switching, Maguu Kenki and mechanical array are pretty bad IMO.
me with C3 Raiden Hypercarry deleting the boss in about 6 secs....🤷♂but for real tho.. just watch the timer and start your rotation after counting down 14/15 secs, or if you want a visual cue, start when the nose of the boss is almost near you 2:44, also a lot of players don't seem to know, if you're on the PC, you can hit ALT + NUMBER it instantly use their burst... don't have to switch then hit Q, that also saves a 1sec or 2 overall, so for me personally
1. Raiden E at 2:44 - apply electro
2. Alt 2 - Kazuha burst - swirl electro before he flys up
3. Alt 3 - Bennett burst - as the boss is doing is snakey like movements
4. Alt 4 - Sara burst - worn out just in time to get hit by burst - this depends on if i was pushed by the boss during bennett's burst, if i get pushed out of the field, then i run into the field before I burst, if not, then i do E first, that way i can buff Sara's burst damage, then Sara's burst will then in turn buff Raiden, squeezing in a bit of extra damage, its good practice to hone your situational awareness
5. Alt 1 - Raiden burst - bye bye boss.
now obviously this won't work if you cant one cycle the boss so you will need a geo character to break the shield, but the general tip is still the same
Just subscribed to your channel after this awesome guide. I already bruteforced the boss but a guide like this would have been so helpful, good job!
I always forget the timings since its been so long since he shows up that I forget how he works.
another tip i got from someone skilled: "if you can deal more than 1 million dps in one rotation, hit thr boss until it's hit point reach just before the letter R in its name, then it will not go into shield phase, but you are going to get another dps window, and finish it at that time!"
one of the trick is to damage him little by little and stop at 71% health, which is like a bit in front of the letter E from his title under his name (Nameless King of The Rift, right after 'e' in the word 'the'). When he's
I wanted yoimiya to be effective here but the next fight after this is hard because she is single target lol
@@jyolikearock_ I got 6 stars from chamber 1 and 2. My problem is the 2nd phase of chamber 3. Lol
@@jyolikearock_ hold on, you mean i can just half ass the first 2 floor (assuming i have cleared them both and got 3 stars) and the just straight up try to use the most optimal team for the third floor?
Does that actually works and counts as getting 12 stars?
If i understand this correctly, my first attemp got:
1 floor = 3*
2 floor = 3*
3 floor = 2*
And then if i were to try for the second time and got:
1 floor = 1*
2 floor = 2*
3 floor = 3*
That would still counts as getting 12* total.
Pattern/mechanic
Attack the boss until HP is below the first capital R from the right. Then the boss will continue with another laser attack. This is when you start to setup and attack all the way without the boss going to shield phase (because you killed it)
Thank you so much you've helped me 3 star the floor 😭🙏
For mobile players, you can save up a lot of time when enemies aren't spawning by clicking wishing icon after starting time
This is a very helpful video, thank you!

Thank you so much !!

Ganyu reverse melt with Zhongli made this feasible.
This is the easiest boss for me because of my hu tao, yelan, xingqui and Zhongli. This team is ridiculously OP in boss fight.
but sucks at multi targeted/mobs enemies like the floor 3-2 lmao

Why this guy is in any timed content is beyond me.
man when they put some boss with rng mechanic at 2nd half is anoying as hell. thanks for the tips btw this good for someone who especially have barely fire power that clutch abyss time clear like.... close to 10-5 second
The teams that helped me finish this floor in 1 minute and 15 seconds:
First half (25-30 sec): Raiden C3, Kazuha C0, Sara C6, Bennett C6
Second half (45-50 sec): Tighnari C0 (Prototype Crescent), Yae C0, Nahida C2, Kuki C4
It took me many tries to take the wolf down before it spawned its invincible shield.
I've been using a Melt Ganyu with Nahida team to be able to hit Melt charge shots while the Wolflord is flying around.
@@potatobananatomato4096 i guess my AOE team isn't doing that much damage then. Noted

To me the only boss that deserves the title of true time waster is that god damn mecha snake xD
This boss is so INCONSISTENT it aggravates me to fight it everytime smh

There are only two things to defeat this boss
1. Your first team don't fuck up. Clear the chamber in atleast 45 seconds
2. Doesn't matter, just bring a geo character except noelle
I c6 faruzan for this and if hoyoverse is gonna add the new enemy for the next spiral abyss it's gonna be a pain in the ass to 36* the spiral again
Brooo thank you for this
i think mihoyo is literally incompetent at designing challenging content, having 8 seconds burst time its not based of skill but power creep, where we also add the random need of random elemnts such a geo in the middle of floor 12
The only thing I hate about that floor is it forces players to bring geo characters.
Me before ayaka c4. Needed this guide.....

And then there is me 1 phase him before he csn do the skull phase.

My current problem is the last chamber. My melt Ganyu can't kill the wolves quickly to get 36-star.
And for those who are able to 3 star it should be given a guaranteed cr or cd 5 star artifact.
itto absolutely destroy this boss cuz even if its flying ittos charged attacks still hits haha
I brute force myself to kill him before he even cast his shield. But that also depends what ability he would use

For now my go to quick clear for 2nd half is Keqing (Keqing Main), Nahida, Zhongli, Kokomi.
ofc u struggled u use keqing ffs she throw that wolves with her burst and will send them to mars, and her charged atk is sht against them too lol
I would've loved to know the tells for when the boss does the crucial attacks. But great guide btw.
Good news guys we will have a new boss..... Ruin serpent but color green
Yae Miko and Nahida make light work of this boss.
If mihoyo sales revenue drop
They will create a boss that invulnerable for 60 sec so we can only have 30 sec to 36 star abyss
If f2p can still 36 star it, they will unleash new one that have 75 sec of invulnerbility
Sucrose, Fischl, barbara is good to go too. I don't bring any geo in the second half my team was hyperbloom yae, Fischl, barbara, Nahida
