omg i had to change teams for each chamber too especially for the papilla thing, what's funny is that none of my "premium" 5* teams worked on it but arlecchino + xingqiu bennett fischl (xingqiu and fischl being lvl 80 too) cleared it immediately😭😭

Hard? No, it was never hard to begin with. It's restricted by a lot gimmick. If you had the proper characters to use, it'll be a piece of cake. But if you don't have those characters and your roster is limited, then it's gonna be stressful. It is tedious and unfun, this is one of the few rotation that i don't replay after getting 36 stars due to how unfun it is.
@@number1cheater272 triple kenki ain't that bad though. You just want someone who can heal to make it easier to survive their chaotic high dps attacks. For aeonblight drake you really want an archer. So either you have to play an archer dps, or a team that uses an archer support
15:00 I was surprised that Chasca's aim mode skill doesn't hit the weak points. They featured something like that in her story quest. It was used on obstacles but the NPC did mention aiming at the weak spots.
I had to do Neuvillette Hypercarry (Moga's "steamroll team") for chamber 1 and Nahida + Yelan + Xingqiu + Kuki hyperbloom for chamber 2 in order to 36 star and even then, it was a _really_ close thing. And I have Nahida's signature weapon (no constellations on any 5 stars, though). This Abyss is _rough_ and the fact that so many of the bosses just waste so much time does not help. Saw some interesting comments in Soluna's stream. One guy said he wouldn't be be able to 36 star this Abyss, and that that was the first time that had happened to him in months. I thought I was going to be in the same boat.
You can climb zhongli pillar and hit the boss with your nuevi charge attack on 12-2 but I would advise using your skill with nuevi before doing so also you can hit it with normal attacks from that range as well if it’s close enough go to you on the pillar
What i hate about that Wolflord boss is that the thing you have to break has freaking ICD. We already brought a geo. Yet we still get punished for a short time. Kachina cant break it easily, Noelle sure as hell couldnt without a burst. Hell Xilonen cant even do it quickly. You need fckn Ningguang, Zhongli, Gorou, etc.
That's Mihoyos plan, always has been, to make you pull for the current banner character They specifically make Abyss floors to cater towards those characters
little tip for everyone struggling with papilla boss on chamber 2 first half, took me a couple of tries to figure out but burning does wonders, i used arlecchino, emilie, bennett and collei (c6) with sac bow and a lot of er to make her apply as much dendro as possible and to buff emilie with deepwood, plus she's a bow so works with chamber 3. as for the second half, any furina team will get the job done as long as there's also geo (i used navia xilonen furina yelan but a team like hu tao double hydro with zhongli could also work i think)
Not having a constant natlan elemental skill applicator makes fighting that Tenebrous Papilla an absolute nightmare, I have Mualani Xilonen and even tried using Kachina in one instance but couldn't get the white bar to fill fully it really really sucks
This abyss is even more restrictive than the last. For the saurien you need hydro, biS is furina, for the wolf you need a geo char. The second side needs either natlan characters or quick elemental reaction/dmg like yelan and xingqiu in a hyperbloom team while having a bow character for the dragon. Im glad to have my neuvi hypercarry team and build my chasca decent for the other side. Otherwise the 36* would be Impossible with my wriothesley or any other of my build teams...
Only had issues with the Tenebrous Papilla. Everything else went down no time. Used Neuv team for 1st half and Raiden National for 2nd half of each floor.
i used Mualani in the second half, which... wasn't great for Papilla since her application is so slow but i managed to do it just by taking the hit at the end, also she's not great for Aeonblight drake since you have to jump while riding her shark to reach it in mid air, which is kinda funny, but she is probably my strongest single target dps so it still worked out in the end.
After playing the abyss again, I actually don’t mind the papilla, while natlan characters are better, other teams like electrocharged and burning apply enough elements so it does encourage team diversity. I still hate wolf lord though as the ‘difficulty’ of the fight is just dealing with janky hitboxes and stalling

I dont like this abys, its like a boss rush but u cant change team between bosses, and some of the bosses have Really annoying mechanics that u cant just ignore with dps and need specific characters for, its a thing that people that have been using rational since like 2.3 wont like
Man, I can't remember the last time abyss was this torturous😂 I have no problem surviving or doing lots of damage. But damn boy those bosses like long spawn timers and instant elemental state triggers😂
This abyss isn’t as hard as it is restrictive. It’s literally just a unit check and if you don’t have the units required or high damage you won’t beat it with 3 stars without rearranging teams after you clear a chamber
I used similar teams, being Neuvillette, Furina, Jean & Zhongli and Nahida, Raide, Xingqiu & Ororon, pretty easy tbh Also, with Zhongli you can use his pillars to hit the Qucusaur while in the air with Neuvillette
I completed the abyss with Furina, ganyu, kazuha and yun jin in phase 1 and Mono geo with Itto and Chiori in Phase 2. Chamber 2 is annoying if you don't have chasca or any DPS from natlan.
I beat golden wolf lord so fast with neuv hyper team, after a point in time if you invest enough in a few characters and some meta units you’ll have no problem with the abyss cycles
i cleared chamber 2 at 6:59 and had to redo chamber 1 too since I couldn't even retry when i finished the battle, literally almost went bald, this rotation was horrible 😭
Okay legit, the only chamber I couldn't 3 Star was the first one. I was doing Navia gor first half, Arlecchino Overload 2nd half. Even the Chamber 2 Natlan boss was erased quickly without any Natlan characters. The Tips for Speeding up the first half of the first Room were actually stuff I didn't know, so maybe I can get that last damm Star now. Almost spend over 2 minutes in there with Navia every run so far...
I have never fought the new boss, so I did reset to try easier teams since I don't have natlan units properly built, so in the end I played neuvillet on first phase and fishl national on the second. Indeed it's tailor made for neuvillete and chasca/kinich.
Honestly the abyss wasn’t that hard for me I got a 36 star clear with my e6 characters especially with my e6 nahida and my e6 raiden in my hyper bloom team And my vape team with furina hu tao yelan and xingo
Definitely was more difficult. I think the biggest problem is abyssal boss in chamber 2. Tried with main dps dehya for an overload team and and managed 2 stars there, that team couldn't clear the boss, felt like I needed chasca and ororon. And because of the boss on the other side, replaces furina with Koko for off field hydro so furina could take him out of the skys

honestly this was more like a « fun and challenging » kind of hard, definetly not harder than the last fontaine abyss and that one abyss in 3.X with the consecrated beasts. anyways I used navia, furina, bennett and xilonen first side and yelan kokomi nahida and kuki second
I did it with neuvi hyper up top and nahida hyperbloom on the bottom, i did have to switch characters for some chambers though so it is still way too hard
I just did 1st fooor Neuv, furina, kazuha, fischl (you can use ororon he should be better) And 2nd floor (yes the weird mechanic boss) At first I tried lyney team, but couldn’t get the sheild down (keep in mind I’m a whale) And I just brute forced it with hutao, xilonen, yelan, xiq aka “water boy”
The current state of abyss nowadays feels like you need to pull the featured 5 stars in order to clear it. I typically only play female characters as much as possible (Yeah Im a simp) but now, I am kinda forced to play my dusty neuvillete in the corner (accidentally pulled him at 30ish pity in the past) and together with zhongli. All I could say is... Damn, that was easier than I thought (1st half). But when I tried it with my other characters. Damn, that is way harder than expected
I don't have a hydro dps, can't kill the first mobs in time because of the pyro aura (I don't have Chevy neither), the Qucusaur makes it too hard to kill in the short window after taking so long to destroy the pyro things, can't kill the Wolflord in time it's actually over
The only hard ones are the Wolflord and the Papilla, the rest is just a Dps check, even the Consecrated beasts get melted nowadays, or maybe it's because one of them is the croc that barely does anything? Anyways, apart from the Wolflord needing an element that barely sees play, I just hate how Papilla works. Ever since Natlan came out I have only really pulled on Rerun banners, the only chars that got my attention were Mavuika and Citlali, I found Chasca interesting but not worth my primos. So right now I'm stuck with the free Kachina, an Ororon and a Xilonen that I managed to luck sak after getting Raiden iirc, and none of the 3 are enough to drop the shield, so the only way I managed to kill it was by Ulting through the one shot attack it does at the start and then going with enough buffs and debuffs that the 70% Res. didn't matter (the team was Yelan, Furina, Kazuha, Xilonen).
1:50 Honestly, if he is the same pain in the butt as in Imaginarium Theater... Furina is not a cheat code but required to beat this flapping annoyance in a reasonable time. Hydro bow CA are way to slow, hydro catalyst attacks only hit when he is near the floor which also makes using NA + Xingqiu/Yelan burst unreasonable. So unless I just had the worst luck, this boss with it's immediate transformation falls under the Whenut and Drillsnakething category: Hopefully never in the abyss again
since my favorite team fits perfect into the second half, i only really had problems with the first half, mostly the golden wolflord. i didnt bring geo in my first run which completely ruined 12-3-1 for me. zhongli fixed it in my second attempt though. i can still get my usual 33/36 without insane efforts, so im happy. abyss could be (and definitely has been in the past) worse.
This abyss for me was about par for the course only because I knew how to deal with all the bosses. With my account i can typically get 33 stars and I was able to do it on this round as well. If you don't know the mechanics of the enemies I guess it would be super hard, but if you know how to deal with them, It's pretty whatever XD
This is the first floor 12 in months (maybe all of 2024?) that is genuinely frustrating me because I can’t seem to 36* it even after a couple comp changes and many attempts.
Even with the switch team for every chamber strategy? But damn, that sucks yeah. I feel like with this abyss, you want some really good dps character for both sides (so you can one cycle after breaking through the boss res) , 1 or 2 gimmick characters, and the rest just as many buffing characters as possible

When you don't have a Built natlan character that new boss is a little bit more of a hassle sadly (i only own kachina and though she is built to an extent her nightsoul state does not last long enough and does not have short enough of a cooldown to be able to break the boss out of that one attack so im going to have to take the L for this abyss (still got 34 stars at least)
but with that, i still had a hard time beating the chamber 1 first half of floor 12 at the first few tries; changed to my arle team and time was way more decent with them. skill issue on my part, ig
I have proper characters for this abyss, but they either are a. underpowered (which I want to say isn’t the main reason I’m struggling because they should be able to at least get through floor 12 with 2 stars in each chamber) or b. I have a major skill issue playing on mobile. I have a gaming laptop that randomly can’t handle genshin or any game like it anymore. I logged in a week ago, and it was running incredibly slowly. No, it’s not my wifi, my storage, or a virus. I’ve restarted it and shut it down multiple times. Nothing is fixing it. I asked my uncle (messing with computers is his job) and we did a couple different things like deleting temp files and stopping background and start up apps from running, but nothing changed. So I’m stuck on my iPad or phone and I cannot for the life of me finish floor 12. I couldn’t even get a single star in chamber 1, which literally doesn’t make any sense. I hope my laptop can be fixed soon because I’m already tired of playing on mobile and it’s only been a week.
Same I’m a mobile player with decent units just don’t have Furina and I think she is the main key for mobile player like us. I got 34 on mobile and I’m too tired to retry on the PC since I’m not used to it anymore.

I get not wanting to attempt it on PC since you’re not used to it. I feel the same way about mobile. I just can’t even get a single star on the first chamber on mobile and it’s frustrating. DPS check + only sends 2 monster by 2 + requires specific team comps + most cancerous annoying bosses that whoever created them deserves death penalty yeah... mihoyo totally listened when people said they wanted a fun endgame....
Yes, but no. I think the consecrated beasts have 40% resistance to all elements, and 70% for their element. The reason why you pocket their element is to easily break the crystal they make. Hitting them with the crystal stuns and gives big damage.
i had to use nobless ningguang for wolflord, it was so annoying, i don’t know how you would 36 star without furina- idk how you would get good clears without xilonen
I was kinda forced into having to run a navia team on first half and went with my neuvilette team + ororon on the second half ..if i hadnt leveled ororon i would not have been able to clear this cause i couldnt tick enough on the abyss plant to break its shield and not get one shot it was super frustrating xD but suprisingly. Did manage with resets to full clear ... This was terrible abyss doh xD way to restrictive.

bring burning. the fast tics make it significantly easier.
Use Xiangling and Xingqiu's Burst immediately and keep attacking. Don't use anyone else's Burst since it'll just waste time. Those two are enough.
I beat it with Nahida, Yelan, Xinqiu and Kuki, just save their bursts so you can use them as soon as the white bar appear.
Burning/hyperbloom work well too

Took a few combinations but these are the teams I used to clear
three separate waves with one of them being the beasts for only 1 half is too much, you can't convince me otherwise

I dont like this abys, its like a boss rush but u cant change team between bosses, and some of the bosses have Really annoying mechanics that u cant just ignore with dps and need specific characters for, its a thing that people that have been using rational since like 2.3 wont like

This abyss isn’t as hard as it is restrictive. It’s literally just a unit check and if you don’t have the units required or high damage you won’t beat it with 3 stars without rearranging teams after you clear a chamber
I used similar teams, being Neuvillette, Furina, Jean & Zhongli and Nahida, Raide, Xingqiu & Ororon, pretty easy tbh
Also, with Zhongli you can use his pillars to hit the Qucusaur while in the air with Neuvillette
Normally floor 12 isn’t extremely difficult but floor 12 chamber 2 second half got me crying that boss is so hard 😭

I completed the abyss with Furina, ganyu, kazuha and yun jin in phase 1 and Mono geo with Itto and Chiori in Phase 2. Chamber 2 is annoying if you don't have chasca or any DPS from natlan.
I beat golden wolf lord so fast with neuv hyper team, after a point in time if you invest enough in a few characters and some meta units you’ll have no problem with the abyss cycles

i cleared chamber 2 at 6:59 and had to redo chamber 1 too since I couldn't even retry when i finished the battle, literally almost went bald, this rotation was horrible 😭

Okay legit, the only chamber I couldn't 3 Star was the first one. I was doing Navia gor first half, Arlecchino Overload 2nd half. Even the Chamber 2 Natlan boss was erased quickly without any Natlan characters. The Tips for Speeding up the first half of the first Room were actually stuff I didn't know, so maybe I can get that last damm Star now. Almost spend over 2 minutes in there with Navia every run so far...

I have never fought the new boss, so I did reset to try easier teams since I don't have natlan units properly built, so in the end I played neuvillet on first phase and fishl national on the second. Indeed it's tailor made for neuvillete and chasca/kinich.

Honestly the abyss wasn’t that hard for me I got a 36 star clear with my e6 characters especially with my e6 nahida and my e6 raiden in my hyper bloom team
And my vape team with furina hu tao yelan and xingo
Definitely was more difficult. I think the biggest problem is abyssal boss in chamber 2. Tried with main dps dehya for an overload team and and managed 2 stars there, that team couldn't clear the boss, felt like I needed chasca and ororon. And because of the boss on the other side, replaces furina with Koko for off field hydro so furina could take him out of the skys
I was definitely struggling on all chambers (specially chamber 2 because I don't have any natlan char yet) but finally got my 9*

honestly this was more like a « fun and challenging » kind of hard, definetly not harder than the last fontaine abyss and that one abyss in 3.X with the consecrated beasts. anyways I used navia, furina, bennett and xilonen first side and yelan kokomi nahida and kuki second
I did it with neuvi hyper up top and nahida hyperbloom on the bottom, i did have to switch characters for some chambers though so it is still way too hard

Neuv, furina, kazuha, fischl (you can use ororon he should be better)
And 2nd floor (yes the weird mechanic boss)
At first I tried lyney team, but couldn’t get the sheild down (keep in mind I’m a whale)
And I just brute forced it with hutao, xilonen, yelan, xiq aka “water boy”
The current state of abyss nowadays feels like you need to pull the featured 5 stars in order to clear it. I typically only play female characters as much as possible (Yeah Im a simp) but now, I am kinda forced to play my dusty neuvillete in the corner (accidentally pulled him at 30ish pity in the past) and together with zhongli. All I could say is... Damn, that was easier than I thought (1st half). But when I tried it with my other characters. Damn, that is way harder than expected
I don't have a hydro dps, can't kill the first mobs in time because of the pyro aura (I don't have Chevy neither), the Qucusaur makes it too hard to kill in the short window after taking so long to destroy the pyro things, can't kill the Wolflord in time

The only hard ones are the Wolflord and the Papilla, the rest is just a Dps check, even the Consecrated beasts get melted nowadays, or maybe it's because one of them is the croc that barely does anything?
Anyways, apart from the Wolflord needing an element that barely sees play, I just hate how Papilla works. Ever since Natlan came out I have only really pulled on Rerun banners, the only chars that got my attention were Mavuika and Citlali, I found Chasca interesting but not worth my primos. So right now I'm stuck with the free Kachina, an Ororon and a Xilonen that I managed to luck sak after getting Raiden iirc, and none of the 3 are enough to drop the shield, so the only way I managed to kill it was by Ulting through the one shot attack it does at the start and then going with enough buffs and debuffs that the 70% Res. didn't matter (the team was Yelan, Furina, Kazuha, Xilonen).
1:50 Honestly, if he is the same pain in the butt as in Imaginarium Theater... Furina is not a cheat code but required to beat this flapping annoyance in a reasonable time.
Hydro bow CA are way to slow, hydro catalyst attacks only hit when he is near the floor which also makes using NA + Xingqiu/Yelan burst unreasonable.
So unless I just had the worst luck, this boss with it's immediate transformation falls under the Whenut and Drillsnakething category: Hopefully never in the abyss again
since my favorite team fits perfect into the second half, i only really had problems with the first half, mostly the golden wolflord. i didnt bring geo in my first run which completely ruined 12-3-1 for me. zhongli fixed it in my second attempt though. i can still get my usual 33/36 without insane efforts, so im happy. abyss could be (and definitely has been in the past) worse.
This is why I’m glad I’m nowhere near endgame yet (as a veteran player on a new account don’t ask)

This abyss for me was about par for the course only because I knew how to deal with all the bosses. With my account i can typically get 33 stars and I was able to do it on this round as well. If you don't know the mechanics of the enemies I guess it would be super hard, but if you know how to deal with them, It's pretty whatever XD
Had to do this abyss without a Natlan character cuz my only one is Kachina.. I have 1440 days active on this game.
This is the first floor 12 in months (maybe all of 2024?) that is genuinely frustrating me because I can’t seem to 36* it even after a couple comp changes and many attempts.
Even with the switch team for every chamber strategy? But damn, that sucks yeah. I feel like with this abyss, you want some really good dps character for both sides (so you can one cycle after breaking through the boss res) , 1 or 2 gimmick characters, and the rest just as many buffing characters as possible
i user navia furina yelan and xilonen for first half, and arle xingqiu xiangling and fischl for second half and had a pretty pleasant time
I used nahida/furina/raiden/zhongli half 1, Chasca/bennett/ororon/xilonen half 2

i was like why chasca that good bro??🎯lucky abyss this time ig but still i used to need 3+hrs or even days to 36 star ts 😭😭 ororon lvl 50, benny & xiangling just lvl 70 it really works
so if you are struggling with this abyss maybe this helps. natlan characters really feel very broken imo

When you don't have a Built natlan character that new boss is a little bit more of a hassle sadly (i only own kachina and though she is built to an extent her nightsoul state does not last long enough and does not have short enough of a cooldown to be able to break the boss out of that one attack so im going to have to take the L for this abyss (still got 34 stars at least)

i didn't know the shields/ debuffers of the consecrated beasts needed the same element until this vid...
which explains a lot since I've been using my standard furina/ yelan/ jean/ hutao against them
but with that, i still had a hard time beating the chamber 1 first half of floor 12 at the first few tries; changed to my arle team and time was way more decent with them.

I dont think you need to fully charge the shot for the ruin drake to stun it
this is only spiral abyss i spend 4hour keep retrying to get 36* ,previous abyss it took 1hour or maybe less for me to full star
I have proper characters for this abyss, but they either are a. underpowered (which I want to say isn’t the main reason I’m struggling because they should be able to at least get through floor 12 with 2 stars in each chamber) or b. I have a major skill issue playing on mobile. I have a gaming laptop that randomly can’t handle genshin or any game like it anymore. I logged in a week ago, and it was running incredibly slowly. No, it’s not my wifi, my storage, or a virus. I’ve restarted it and shut it down multiple times. Nothing is fixing it. I asked my uncle (messing with computers is his job) and we did a couple different things like deleting temp files and stopping background and start up apps from running, but nothing changed. So I’m stuck on my iPad or phone and I cannot for the life of me finish floor 12. I couldn’t even get a single star in chamber 1, which literally doesn’t make any sense. I hope my laptop can be fixed soon because I’m already tired of playing on mobile and it’s only been a week.
Same I’m a mobile player with decent units just don’t have Furina and I think she is the main key for mobile player like us. I got 34 on mobile and I’m too tired to retry on the PC since I’m not used to it anymore.
@ I’ve never played Genshin on mobile before other than if I was desperate and didn’t have my laptop. I actually do have Furina, she’s one of the units I’m using this abyss. I get not wanting to attempt it on PC since you’re not used to it. I feel the same way about mobile. I just can’t even get a single star on the first chamber on mobile and it’s frustrating. Good job on your 34 stars though!
DPS check + only sends 2 monster by 2 + requires specific team comps + most cancerous annoying bosses that whoever created them deserves death penalty

Yes, but no. I think the consecrated beasts have 40% resistance to all elements, and 70% for their element. The reason why you pocket their element is to easily break the crystal they make. Hitting them with the crystal stuns and gives big damage.
Me who has most of these characters but none of them past level 40: "aww yeah i can do this! 🤓🙌🏾" (ive never even attempted abyss)

i had to use nobless ningguang for wolflord, it was so annoying, i don’t know how you would 36 star without furina- idk how you would get good clears without xilonen
also i literally don’t know how you would clear the papilla without kinich
I was kinda forced into having to run a navia team on first half and went with my neuvilette team + ororon on the second half ..if i hadnt leveled ororon i would not have been able to clear this cause i couldnt tick enough on the abyss plant to break its shield and not get one shot it was super frustrating xD but suprisingly. Did manage with resets to full clear ... This was terrible abyss doh xD way to restrictive.
Breezed through floor 11, but my account simply doesn't have enough damage output to deal with floor 12... :(

The bosses are the easiest. The three waves in chamber one are a lot more time consuming in my opinion.
