Honestly, I'm not sure if it would make a difference. You can't dodge while firing his cannon anyway and it takes so long to complete that the normal 25-50 stamina would be recharged by the time you finished.
@@JohnDoeLegionyou can cancel your charged attack if you really need to dodge, plus, if theres 9 balls on the field you will definitely not be able to do the last 3 balls
@@addedpole I mean, even if it was 50 stamina you can get up to 240 stamina from just the statues, so you'd be able to do three charged attacks. Each charge attack consumes 3 balls. Cancelling to dodge is certainly a thing, but it's REALLY suboptimal. I agree that having him consume no stamina is a good thing, I def prefer it, I just don't think it's all that powerful, since his charge attacks are completely unlike any other character in the game. I don't think it's OP. He's strong, but right now, there are other characters that are way stronger than him. Maybe with an HP support that works like Bennet, my opinion will change. Furina might completely change the game when she gets here. She wouldn't be the first Archon to do so...

I am glad he doesn't just slot into the same teams as Ayato or Childe. Hoyo's been doing a surprisingly good job of not powercreeping old character and making sure new ones require different team composition.
Thats the part I really like about hoyo ... Even if they powercreep old characters it won't matter as we can clear the game with version 1.5/2.0 characters
Given that they're limited and not entering standard pool (or even share limited pool like arknight), it makes sense not to powercreep their older unit for banner sales.
He does take the same teams tho, neuvi hyperbloom or international (which is just a vape neuvi since with kazuha you vape only with neuvi) are straight upgrades of childe's best teams with the same characters
@@nenrikido2903 Is this a joke? Neuvillette is not even competitive with Childe in International. It is strictly and significantly worse. You don't even get all stacks of his passive in this team so there's literally no reason to play it.
@@pankace3296 well seems like you haven't tried, and like any passive buff that scales, not having every stacks is never the end of the world.
The team with neuvi c0 and kazu c0 or sucrose can easily reach upwards of 1.6M DPR against a single target which beats most childe international teams (about AoE, child might have quadratic scaling but neuvi has a way bigger AoE, which is even increased with the mouse sensitivity trick)
And if you got neuvi c1 or/and kazu c2 it gets even better

Honestly its kind of a good thing that he doesnt demand the buffs of meta supports like Bennett. Means you can keep him for teams where he is required, while Neuvillette can just vibe shooting his water cannon
And Xingqiu too cause Neuvi doesn't do NA's, that's half of national that won't be contested with for Neuvillette's team, that's really good

Wrio looks more fun to play than Neuvillette but his damage is pretty bad, think c0 Wanderer you'll need good supports and a lot of investment to make him good but when he gets cons and weapon he's a completely different character

Glad to see you showcase a F2P friendly team, I may actually build Gorou now if he actually pops. I collected my version maintenance primos, and dumped my meager 32 wish stockpile as well as my starglitter, and I'm sitting at 75 pity with no guarantee. Guess I'm foraging the new areas tomorrow morning for a few more wishes to see if he comes home.

@@lh2293 I never knew his burst pulled shield shards until 10mins before the maintenance (I'm AR 55 and just set foot into the foggy inazuma island, intending to finally build a shielder, settling on Thoma since his burst triggers on normal attacks, planning on running him with Yelan, Xingqui and Wanderer for openworld LOLs)

This video really helped me a lot because I’m considering pulling for Neuvillette. You explained things well while also making it funny. I also liked that you used a 4 star weapon, c0 character, and gave 4 star options for team because not everyone has hypermaxed accounts. Would like to see more of these guides in the future.
the geo/anemo/cryo team comp makes alot of sense to me IMO
frozen is always good against non-bosses
anemo to shred defense and to group mobs, since his charge attack does hit all in line
geo for shield since he can get interrupted at C0
ideally zhongli would be optimal, since diona's shield is much weaker compared to zhongli, if you have zhongli, then you can swap out diona for pretty much any of the 4 star electro/dendro you get for free or should have by now unless you're a complete newbie like kuki, yaoyao, collie and fischl. beidou is also a good choice

Or you could go along with Archaic Petra Gorou. Full EM crystallized shields do a lot of work so even full EM archaic Petra would work. It's a goofy build but you don't don't realize how strong crystallized shields are unless you fight opponents of same element

@@VOTETOTVOT more like chain reaction damage. you can treat it like echo slamp earth shaker. the more enemy it hit = more damage each enemy got hit. Ganyu is actually also work like that, her ult drop 5 random shard with each shard homing at 1 enemy. if there's 5 enemy = there's no random hit so if that 5 enemy got grouped up, then each enemy got hit 5x by her ult (since her ult is technically AOE altho small)

would mona be a better support than a third reaction for him? I feel like a 25% hp increase from resonance and up to 60% damage bonus would make up for the 35% charged attack damage lost. She could also generate particles for him from her skill to lower ER requirements, and a taunt seems like it would be good for preventing a c0 neuvillette from getting knocked around so much.
He's sooo majestic. He's already doing 5k per charged attack w talent lvl 1 at level 50.

I got Zhongli in previous patch and just wanted to get some Diona or Xingqui cons and after 15 pulls I got Neuvilette... I wasn't planning on getting him since I've been saving for Furina but I can't say I really regret it, he looks really good!
I just got neuvillete homa skyward atlas and his signiture weapon all within 50 pulls im so happy😭
I'm using him with Layla for both shield and reaction(And the freeze helps coz I'm lazy to move my mouse around), but I think Zhongli's shield would still be generally better, if you have him.
zhongli > diona > layla from what i know. plus diona has healing which helps a bit
I was looking at using Layla with Nahida and Raiden for HyperFridge...
My C4 Layla has 40+k HP, at level 80+, so her shield is quite substantial.

weapon banner is a scam , you should know by now that chasing for a 15-20percent damage boost for his signature is really not worth it. and to top it all off, pity doesnt carry to the next banner ,so unless you save enough for a guaranteed sig weapon then do not pull . Be smart in investing your hard earned primos

In fact, the safest and smartest way to pull on the weapon banner is to do 5 to 10 pulls every now and then on GOOD weapon banners to eventually get at least some 5* weapons from time to time

Would having a second hydro character in his team still be possibly viable? I believe the resonance bonus increases hp and improves healing. Despite maybe having a slightly lower max potential, it may make him more consistent. Especially if someone, such as c1 Mona, was used to reduce elemental resistance from the enemy.

I had 24 pity and got him in 2 pulls, I somehow had artifacts just waiting for him and he's just very fun to play. This guide of sorts helped a lot

Baizhu is a really good healer and support for Neuvillette. Not only does he apply bloom pretty efficiently, he can also do it off field with his ult. His ult also has a bonus of healing the whole team AND adding a sheild to help with interruption resistance! Very much recommend him.
The shield is kinda nice but the blooms are a lil bonus, Nahida is way better for it 😢

His shields are weak, the do not help him to completely negate interruption.
You simply cannot rely on them, while facing enemys with an attack streaks.

my Ayato even with his signature weapon & kazuha support (240+ crit dmg), doesn't deal as much dmg as the Neuvillette in his character trial
so yea' eventho I honestly have been hype for Ayato quite immensely in the past, now he just feels like one of the most boring characters to play with - not to mention he's just so mid' that even a sub-dps Xiangling does much more dmg than him XD
but I still somewhat attached to him, because I can still reminisce about those times when he actually felt amazing to play - esp. with additional ATK spd buff (if this was possible to pull off consistently, then yea' despite low numbers - he will definitely feel overwhelmingly fun)
Such different characters, Neuv high dmg compensates how *LIMITED* his team comps are and how "niche" he is
Ayato can be played in every reaction team as a driver and also as an off field burst support since he has 100% uptime

The 3 rings in his ult resembles the Ringed explosion from the Elden beast
Honestly i think baizhu would work well with him as he can give the shields to stop stagger and for those who got c2 baizhu you have completely off field healing and bloom reactions for his passive stack
Problem with baizhu's shield is that its squishy as hell, his off field dendro application doesnt really last long as well, you'd be firing neuvillete's charge attack at least 2 times on a single rotation, a better dendro applicator is more suitable at that, thats why nahida is the best for him

I have C2 Baizhu and generally his shield is ok for C0 Neuvillette as long as you can kite properly but if you really want to get up close and personal, l’d still recommend getting C1 as it opens up alot more comps. I’m currently running C1 Neuvillette/Nilou/Baizhu/Nahida and it’s an absolute blast! (Literally) 🔥🔥🔥
Baizhu shield do not cover his interruption problem.

Actually u'll likely triger other hydro reaction by hitting the enemies (i.e. vaporise/sword from pyro/electro wielding enemies) so only 2 different elements is enough
There's always the old reliable 3 for DPS characters that don't synergize with most supports nor rely on basic attacks. Lisa, Zhongli and Xiangling.
His kit is a bit akward and T-posing for 10 seconds to defeat your enemies seems a bit restrictive, but the damage surely makes up for it.
Just like Yanfei, his elemental and burst are there just to buff his charged attack, and nothing more.
Ayato as well
Nevy feels like the type of character who comes out strong and only gets stronger as more units come out,i think he's going to be one of the few pure DPS characters that doesn't get powercrept by new characters

So basically having Nahida, Raiden and someone else for a third reaction makes him into an absolute beast. Arguably someone like Benny is a perfect fourth member for him.
benny gives atk which gives nothing to neauvillette, as far as we can see, since he only profits from hp% increases. His c1 with mona, tho
