I have dry skin in the winter allowing my fingerprints to wear off to the point I can't unlock my phone until May. This has caused me to avoid anything biometric. Thanks for sharing this!
Nice video and interesting product, but you should have shown that the finger scan *doesn't* work when you use your other fingers. Otherwise, for all I know, this safe may let anyone with a pulse use their finger to open it.
Yeah I got one and other fingers don't work unless you register them.

@@maxsafessecurity2994 I went to your website and looked at all the options for storage. There are several that I really like. One suggestion is correcting all the spelling errors on the website. I started looking through the site and it was really well done as optics go. I started reading some of the information and found multiple errors. The reason I mention this is trust factor. There are so many websites out there that are scams that having errors in verbage is a red flag for myself. That is what brought me to RUclips to see some of the reviews. Nice looking product. It would be interesting to see what the Lock Picking Lawyer would have to say.

That looks like it has the same flaw as sentry safe, where you can unlatch it in 30 seconds with a zip tie... are there any safes this size that aren't terrible?
I need a biometric safe that doesn't talk or chime when you gain access to it, and can't be easily picked open. What are some of these companies even thinking with these things? Must just think there are so many guns in America that these safes will sell themselves.
Purchased one right after watching the video Tuesday. Saturday and no info on when it will ship and no response to my email….
Update 1. It arrived today Thursday so about 9 business days not that bad. I was excited to try it out so I followed the directions and programed both of my index fingers. Unfortunately it didn't work as I wanted it to. It only gets my finger maybe 70% of the time. I find its sensitive to how you place your finger in the guide slot. I get that you could probably train yourself to always hit it exactly right but honestly that's too iffy for me. Now I get to see what the RMA process is like. I'll let everyone know.
UPDATE 2. So its been 24 hours since the the RMA request and no response. They seem to be about 2 days out on responding to emails. With that said I decided to try again. I figured out why it was so inconsistent compared to the test video, maybe. I programed it to both my index fingers while the unit was up higher on a kitchen counter top. I then put it down low in my beardom. I'm thinking the height difference is affecting the way my finger goes into the slot where it reads the veins. Raising it back up to counter height causes it to hit now maybe 90% of the time. Its still not as accurate as I hoped it would be but for the price I can still use the buttons and the features and design are really slick. Light inside. Soft open top. I think I'll keep it and rely on the buttons.

I'm interested. I'm also one of those who will wait to see the intrusion testers have a go at it before I buy one. When your kids get a little older, I think you'll start to see the value in making sure the box is not quickly and easily defeated. I'm also waiting with great anticipation to see what SecureIt comes out with in a few months - I like the way they think about firearms storage, and I expect their handgun storage product to be a game changer.

in the same vein as other people do mud tests for guns, i think you could do finger dip tests to see what will work and what wont. mud, blood, motor oil, molasses, dusty sand, hand lotion, and more

Im in the market for one of these. No "safe" is without faults. Saying that, these Maxsafe units have mostly good reviews. However, when they do have a negative review, it seems that there is little support from the company. Being that this is a Chinese company, Is there any USA based support for this company?
Great video, my only issue with this safe is it's only warrantied for 1 year. If in 2 years the vein tech stops working, what if, what do you do ??

Can’t find any info on the website about battery life. Any idea? Number of scanned entries, months until replacement is necessary, etc.
Also wish they would’ve added the foam liner to the lid in case the safe gets knocked over

Here's my concern and one that might be hard to test. If you go for this thing when someone is kicking in your door you're going to have a massive adrenaline dump going on. Adrenaline constricts blood vessels (enough to slow bleeding sometimes) and pulls blood into the muscles. Will that change in vein size make the scanner reject your finger in that situation? Lol it would be interesting if someone would be willing to hit themselves with an epi-pen and see if the safe works to simulate it

I struggle with fingerprint readers as well because my hand are often dry. I like the idea of this.
My issue with all of these safes is the thickness of the steel, just to thin.
Bruh if someone gets through the steel they were getting that gun at the end of the day. Get a large wall safe if you need it to protect against rocket launchers lol
