It’s pretty hard on the knees. I’d recommend just normal running, but if you really must, the stairs are a great option. Only makes sense if you regularly run with a plate carrier, as a result of your career. Even then, I would train without one a majority of the time. Just my personal opinion. Regardless, there is always outside lol.
$45 a month for access to a shooting range like that is totally worth it. They're open until at least 10pm and have quite a few membership tiers to suit your interests.
My local charges more for their membership, and all it includes is a 10% discount on theyre already marked up by 30-50% ammo and unlimited range time $45 for a range and gym membership all in one would be dope
There should definitely be more ranges that are set up the private booths to practice concealed carry and various other scenarios remember we want well trained people not just the basics not everyone has access to private land to shoot and practice draws
Dry fire at home. I used to do that when I lived in CA often. Now I’m in AZ and can be at BLM land in 15 mins with miles of open land. Can’t beat freedom in AZ with constitutional carry
@@Imafed42069 not the same. Dry fire is great to a point but you need the full range of action to really train proficiently. And it’s evident people need more training drawing and firing or they wouldn’t restrict it so much.
@@Imafed42069 my range has had couple negligent discharges from people coming in and practicing their draw on the line. 1 guy got lucky, the other guy shot himself in the leg. It’s just too much of a liability with new shooters. Hell I had round lodged in the ballistic glass of my bay when a new shooter had a ND next to me. Had there been No glass and I wouldn’t be typing this now. The scary part was he didn’t seem to be bothered too much by it, like oh this is normal. But the RO chewed him up and down and then escorted him out with a lifetime ban for his oh well attitude

@@MrZachgonz Go to LA Fitness. It has a great fitness center and a swimming pool. Much cheaper than XCal and offers more. The shooting membership is worth it if you go shooting more than twice a month.

This type of setup is out of my price range. With that said, I wish more places like this existed. This goes a long way toward "normalizing" firearms training.

Just started going here last month and it's so nice, ended up getting a membership. If you're military the initiation fee is waived and it's only $35 a month for us which is a steal !! Membership fee in general is cheaper than my closest range that's shitter for $75 a month so u really can't beat the price

My old equipment was used by LF to build that building. I was over there earlier this year and the owner was walking through with Mr. Beretta. Also if you know the area this is located in, you know it's one of the wealthiest counties in the US.
Got a membership here for shooting and personally meeting Andy I can say this place is the best they always make you feel comfortable. Laid back environment
Its a great facility, I became a member during the pre-opening sale. If you live in the area, this is worth a membership. Not the longest range, but definitely the nicest.
@@brandoncjgrimes all of the ranges at Xcal are 25 yards. For pistol that's all you need. You can still do effective training on that range with rifle as well. if you need longer distance, Elite is the place to go. That being said, I am a member at Xcal.
Modified VH 7A subcal trainer for the RPG-7 They cut down the back on it because they are using a dewatted RPG with a barrel block that won't let you put a full length rocket in it. The trainer Uses a Tracer round, but they don't have to take the "powder out of it" because the barrel has deep rifling in it to allow the gasses to bleed past the bullet and reduce the velocity of the round (Unless the people who modified it also changed the barrel on it).
In my town they are opening up a place called lawman tactical guntry club. It's a gun range, gym and martial arts studio all in one to encourage first responders to get the training they need all in one place.
I wish this had ranges longer than 25 yards, so I could shoot both my rifles and pistols. If I only shot pistols I would be completely ok with this place.
Ashburn Va is such a super rich area . Loudon and Fairfax County Va are the 2 richest counties in the nation . These 2 counties border each other in Northern Va . Been to this range numerous times.

Who is this marketed to? With that much spent on the facility the mark up for guns and ammo must be incredible. There is no way the prices at this place can compete with the internet. I hate shooting in doors at all, but the prices for the lanes must be extraordinarily. It is absolutely beautiful, but I could never afford a place like this. This is clearly a place for the ultra rich and not your everyday shooter. And I am not complaining. If you build it and the people come, I am happy for you. I will have to stick to my $100 a year range with outdoor and indoor access without the glitz and glamor.

As great as this place it, it just doesnt fit my current needs.

This shooting range is the best way to have fun, it changes lives.

The private ranges are awesome for new shooters and instructors. It's really counter-productive to try to instruct someone at indoor ranges.
