+Robb's Homemade Life it sure does add up. the size of the sheet and the size of the disc is so close that i only have .100" extra on the sides to get the complete disc out of. the CNC router makes short work of cutting them out. i actually have to cut up the sheets on the waterjet in to squares for the router. the only reason i can cut the discs completely on the waterjet is because the intense pressure will blister the material...guess how i found that out?
thank, glad you enjoyed it. I'm guessing you saw the other wheel videos as well? i really enjoyed making these wheels, unfortunately they were just too expensive to find the right market for them.
I have indeed! All videos and wheels very nice. Actually I had the same problem building bikes. Unfortunately I have to stop building them. Now I am designing some small parts at home. I hope you still have your machines! Your skills you won't ever lose! Cheers
Thanks! Yes I still have the machine shop, just could not make the wheels viable. Good luck to you, small parts are more "affordable", hopefully you can sell a lot of them.
well, not as bad as you might think. when you look at the amount of work and the cost of equipment required to make these, plus the operation cost of the shop, the price is quite reasonable. some people like to compare the price to standard off the shelf spoke wheels...in that case there is simply no equal comparison. swing by our facebook page and you can send us a message about cost. facebook.com/customsulkywheels/
Thank you for showing all that videos. i been following you for a while. I started to look RUclips, because of my sons. they think it was something for me. they were right. And i have been working with tools, systems and i worked as the Adviser for students with disability, at NTNU. The Norwegian Univercity. So when you get a standard wheelschair, i have to change it. We will be in contact :)
Oh, that's great. I was wondering if there was any viewers who have been following me since the beginning. If you ever have an idea for a project, let me know, if I find it interesting i will explore any project.
Do you guys make custom wheels for Bicycles? I am building a Custom Bicycle called the Davenport Bike it’s pretty unique, I am going to ride across the United States and curious how your wheels would hold up?!
Don't use such a solid wheel on the front of a bicycle. Any wind and you will get blown all over the road. Stick to having these types of wheels on the back only.
I need some mirror pieces that looks like an actual mirror I will greatly appreciate it if you need any information I would like your phone number so we can probably book something . I need something to be able to put it on the rims without taking the rims off because the way my bicycle was designed it's too heavy to deal with that to take the wheel assembly off I will give you measurements if you need any information thank you this is a great job
I liked how when you cut the disc on the router you went right to the edge with no scrap waste. little stuff adds up.

Excellent equipment. The process is fun to watch. Like!
+Аleksey Bek thanks, glad you like it. It is fun having access to all of this equipment!
Nice product guys! Best looking wheels I've ever seen. They'd look awesome on my titanium fat bike.

yes and no. i can definitely make you custom wheels but it would be cost prohibitive to make just 2 or 3
Hey thanks so much appreciate it. It sounds like I’ll have to hand make it
if you want the cetner section cut into a patter for you and you do the rest, that would be much more reasonable.

Oh ok,not chrome like the thumbnail photoshopped one. I knew it couldn't ever be done in chrome.
The wheels in the thumbnail are in fact chrome. It's the same material as the ones shown being cut. Comes in many different colors, including chrome
WTF? What’s it supposed to be for
