My Corima Aero 47+ wheel set is only six years old, but quite keen to know where wheels come from. I knew the day would come when I'd have to have "the talk"; I just didn't think it would come so soon. They grow up so fast. Thanks for showing this, GCN.

Wheels aside (which are admittedly top of the notch), what makes CORIMA stand out is the DNA of the company. it is a small operation, very human, they love what they do and OK let's admit it is not a mass production outfit. I recently turned to CORIMA for a technical issue with my wheels which needed a conversion, Cathy engaged personally, everything was sorted out so efficiently and always with a personal touch. With the serial Nr. of the wheels, they gave me the impression that they knew even what colour shirt the employee who made them wore that day. It felt as if I was making my clothes with a tailor. How much does that cost? You get what you pay for and if you ever lay a hand on these wheels, you know why they cost what they cost. Also happy to see small operations surviving in a brutal market by being so different and looking actively to innovate. Cannot but recommend so highly of CORIMA

I visited an old Corima factory which is located in the middle of nowhere in Madagascar a few years ago. The guy is not producing wheels and frames anymore but has his own little "museum" just like in the video, it was incredible! Came out of there with rebranded Corima aero wheels which are still going strong, best pair I've ever owned.

Very cool. It's good to watch this video before finding out how much these wheels cost. Still... $4000 US for the MCC DX wheels is on the eye-watering side. But if you want to show the bling - they do stand out.
Personally, I like my bikes heavy - so I have an excuse for how slow I am.

  • @josejoakingallastegivilanu9475

This bike was really easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
