I am a body shop paint technician, I worked on pretty much every kind of transportation vehicles, from cars to planes, custom jobs of all kinds included. I am SO impressed with the effort and love Fat Creations is putting into their work. In the Interview there are subtle remarks as to how they work, and why they work in a certain way, and not only do I 100% agree, I am also SO impressed by how they do it.
Started watching and had to go back and check this was the same company that painted Ben Deakin's bikes earlier in the year. New office/workshop looks absolutely amazing, must be so nice to work in now compared to the old shed setup. They do amazing work, so dedicated and love bikes and it shows. Love the colours and fades on his new C'dale.
Very inspiring story, love those designs, the old paint shop was nothing to be embarrassed about its got an awesome vibe and mood to that place... Wish someday I can setup something like that aswell. ❤️
OMG. OMG 😱 my cash draining hobby has just taken a turn for the custom. OMG every frame is a work or ART. Pick my jaw up from the floor I want everything. I’ll take it all thanks. Just wow 🤩
This is phenomenal. I love these beautiful bikes. There are way too many boring black bikes out there. If I had the money I'd totally have them paint a bike for me. I love the creativity. I love the sparkle of the metalic metal flake. I love the fades. Klein used to have some wild fade paintjobs in the 90's. Thanks.
These guys really do love their work. I can't imagine myself riding downhill with such paint job though. I'd be constantly checking if rocks damaged the paint yet.
This. My bikes get transported a lot, ridden over gravel and through the woods; they look well worn. I would love for them to look beautiful, but I know they would be only a short ride away from Chip City.
Amazing work is done by Fat Creations. I've had a bike sprayed there and it was brilliant. Such a great video. Manon you smashed it! I have another bike to be sprayed by Ali soon. And Bex and the stencilling is simply the best!
@@fatcreationscustompaint Would love to see some more videos of your creations taking shape or even just a weekly vid of what you're doing that day with a camera in the room sped up to give us an idea and see these works of art take shape! I've subbed in hope : )
What does something like that set you back ? If you don't mind the question...……………..but I understand if you don't want to divulge such information of course
So okay, my favorite has to be that Cannondale, looks like an Evel Knievel Special and, well, Evel was pretty much the man for popularizing custom paint on two-wheelers.
He shouldn't be embarrassed by his old workshop. Looks like a place where lots of work got done! Fantastic bikes. I really like these types of videos. Similar to the video of Mr. Hincapie's shop with Simon a few months back. More of these!
I think we tend to imagine the most amazing and pristine shops and corporate headquarters of our beloved bike makers. I visited Phil Wood in the 80's and could not find their location. After much searching for the address, I FINALLY poked my head into this old, dark, grungy machine shop and asked, "You guys know where Phil Wood is?" "You found us!" Ha, ha! Image of shiny, impressive corporate headquarters shattered! (This is not true anymore as they've upgraded their environs several times since then.)
Us rim brake riders will be having to use this service to keep our pride and joys lovely. Just had my 2010 synapse resprayed as I don’t want a disc road bike.
Custom paint really is so satisfying. I bought a handbuilt frame in early spring and was able to (had to) come up with the paint design myself; when it came back I built it up in the builder's shop and then just stared at it for the rest of the night.
14:37 that paint tone is sick! First words that came to my head was bursting fruit flavors. That's why I find bicycles so pleasurable to look at Its because of variety of paint finishes that you wont find in a car or motorbikes
@@fatcreationscustompaint You should get a camera man and film the painting process. Just like bike build it's a work of art. Love them, paint jobs brings life to the bike. Cheers from a bike enthusiast
The metalized finish with deep red color, is awesome, but I think the plus is not in the hand Job, is in the mind designer. Great job, I see you love your art. Thanks for share
I just feel like I wanna sell my house move to there location and push that business up to speed and help them achieve that dream yacht lol. The passion here is just so so so overwhelming love it ❤🚴♂️💨💨💨
A rideable work of art, to be sure. I bet they could even do the cranks and shifters if asked since carbon is carbon. One of these years, I know what I want for a birthday present.
A really good video, great content and nice to have a shift away from the heavy paid content and a more serious presenting style for a change. Go Menon!
Great tour of the shop loved the video. I thought I heard Manon getting or having a custom paint job on her bicycle is this true and were can I see it. Keep up all the great videos.
What did you think of these crazy paint jobs? Let us know in the comments 👇
I am speechless
top notch that make me even more want one
Really amazing... I wish I find someone who did that work in my country, Brasil.
Right now All I can say is WOW i love some of these paint jobs hes done!!! So much so that i want him to paint my bikes!!!
A job well done. Amazing 🤩
I want one just because I respect this mans resilience. What a lad.
He's a true legend!

Kudos to Fat Creations for going into so much detail of their painting process. Interesting!

I had to pause the video for the last reddish orangish Cannondale. The subdued yet striking look of that bike was simply the best.
😁❤🧡💛thank you
Those creations are absolutely beautiful. Clearly a lot of dedication and passion have gone into making these paint jobs. Thanks for posting.

Manon looks completely in love...when she looks at the finished bike frame!

I could watch that paint dry all day.... Beautiful.

Nice to see such talent recognised and showcased. So Manon, tell us more about this green creation ...

How about sending Manon on a US trip to visit garages of Keith Bontrager, Garry Fisher etc..
Covid. cant travel?

I do my own paint jobs, my jaw drops at Beccas stencil work. they are the superstars of bike painting, I admire their work like crazy.
I just totally DIG looking at the set up at Fat Creations! Thank you so much for doing this!

Evel Knievel was one Badass Dude!
👌😁💚
The Cannondale looks so lovely.
I'm a simple man. I see Manon, I clicked like. 👍🏻
That is it for me. i see her i click!
Best gcn tech video yet. What an amazing company that creates functional artwork!

Lo Lo xxx
I LOVE THE Cannondale!
👌
i love the videos where you show how bike are made!
We love making them too!
❤
they could save 10s of hours on EVERY job, but they sand back ALL the paint just to save 100-170 grams in the end.
That's commitment. Big kudos.
Spotted that sneaky i30 N! Aside from the awesome bikes, of course... 😉
Manon's car is sick 👌👌
Ali and Bex spray legends 💚 love the yeti they did for me
Cherrs Daz :) 😃 ♥
Wow, amazing work!
Thank you
Respect young man. Veery proud of you. You really love bikes so do I ♥️👍🏽

I’ve spent ten years with Harley Davidson and before that built the Lotus bike.
Ali is the best in the business
We believe it!
Thank you Andrew thats very kind. I hope your well ❤

I'm in love with Argon frames... i don't know why.
Amazing story & so talented.
Dang.. you guys painted the 'no cake, no glory' bike... that was epic on social media !
professionals... stunning!
💚
Absolutely fantastic, never thought about a custom paint job before...defo would now!
I hope he gets a yellow GCN water bottle for saying he had a prime example of a primed frame.

Nice job Manon.
Love that CAAD12
👌😁
Fat Creations also did Ben Deakin's DMR enduro and downhill bikes in the old shed. Amazing work!!
Ali and his team are incredibly skilled!
The metalized finish with deep red color, is awesome, but I think the plus is not in the hand Job, is in the mind designer. Great job, I see you love your art. Thanks for share
So many pretty bikes! I love the orange and red one. I wonder if they do steel...
Love this guys work. This is one of the people that inspired me to paint my own custom bike. I wanted to get one of those polishers he has.
That is bloody gorgeous
Oh how I would love to get my hands on that Stars and Stripes Cannondale 😍😍😍🤍❤️💙❤️💙🤍
😁😁💚
Anyone else find Manon absolutely lovely?
Absolutely fantastic job, i love it. Well done and i wish him and his team all the best!! Chapeau 🇨🇵🇨🇵
Those paint jobs are mad amazing, hot damn.
That's the cleanest paint shop I've ever seen
That's because it's brand new lol. Give it a year and it will likely look a bit less pristine.
Sweet, full black please.
Real skill
Loved the subtle work on Connor’s Aquablue really nice.
Have to go with the Cannondale and +1 on the Evel Knievel comment exactly right.🙂👍
These paint jobs are beautiful. What a cool shop! I love how Manon keeps her composure around these sick bikes. That's the most impressive part :-)
That Cannondale at 10:17 with the stars is beautiful.
I love the rundown on all the detail steps involved in a truly professional paint job! Now think about all the same day auto painting shops around?
That was a cool process to watch, thank you GCN
We enjoyed making it - so thank you!
Custom paint is a must have.
Definitely they are really really piece of art but I just love my matte black one.
Stunning work, mate!
I just feel like I wanna sell my house move to there location and push that business up to speed and help them achieve that dream yacht lol. The passion here is just so so so overwhelming love it ❤🚴♂️💨💨💨

😁🤣🤣🤣🤣🙈
Amazing paint job and thanks for making a video about it.
Excellent finish and razor sharp detailing brilliant. Warning one custom paint job leads to another..... As I have found 😀

We'd love to see it when you do!
Thank you 💚
Crazy awesome😮😮😮😍😍😍😍😍💪💪👌👌👌👌👌👌
Love it all!🤩
Great video.
SO COOL
I WISH there was a place on the east coast of USA that painted road bikes.☹️☹️☹️
There used to be grove innovations in the 90’s. But not this quality
WOW!!
My custom made bike (slightly bigger than Conors) is Bianchi green. I think I'll have a giraffe on my next one too 😊
So cool
