I drove for Indiana Transport from 2016-2020. They kept improving things for the drivers the whole time I was there. I would drive for them again. I talked to drivers for other companies out on the road during rest breaks and never heard of a deal I thought was significantly better.
When I drove for IT, backhauls for the single-pull drivers were very rare. I got maybe two per year. Multi-haul drivers got backhauls all the time.
I ended at IT making $1.80 per mile. Their fuel discount was very good and improved profitability a lot.
When picking up for IT does your clock start when you leave from home?

I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't do this without a self dispatch load board. As a retired teacher i don't like people much anymore. If I had to call in and deal with people....

Does bennet have a load board for cars for backhauls for multi-haul. I hate dealing with all the brokers on vehicle backhauls
So for the fire department you must be an operator? We call them truckies. You operate the pumpers or tankers.
@joshreyburn988 being a small volunteer dept. I'm liable to be the truckie and hose man at the same time. There's been alot of times I'm the only one around until another dept gets on scene.
