I am so impressed with your instruction - I know these principles but have never seen them better illustrated. Thank you.

You have a beautifull and very strong way of seeing the painterly possibilities in the photo - and a very clear way of showing and explaining what you do to change the reference photo into a really creative adventure using the center of interest , color, value, color temperature, edges, simpelplify - it becomes a painterly play - very inspiring

Thank you for the explanation on values and temperature. This will require much practice, study and observation. Please keep the lessons coming

Thank you Phil. Everyone says not to paint from photos, or adjust for it if you do. You have thankfully explained what we need to adjust for, and how to do it. The examples are just brilliant. This has been absolutely invaluable to me. Have now subscribed :)

Thank you for the lesson. I was wondering, is there a setting in Mac Photoshop to use to help simplify and see the values of a photograph?

Ten seconds into this video I'm made to watch an add. Are you kidding me. Shame as I would have liked to have seen the outcome :(
