I think she hit right to the crux of the issue... that many consumers (particularly men) love to see women's bodies, but get upset if the woman has autonomy or control of the situation. It's not about sex, desire, or attraction for them... it's about power. And that terrifies me.

I watched this a few weeks ago and felt surprised by how she was so disconnected with content creation and what she does on her platforms, since most who are successful at least have some passion for what they do. There's something refreshing about a person just being completely transparent about their motives and actions; those things like "I just do this (or do it this particular way) so the news media will write about it" and "I make this much money here, and that much money there" and "I'm just doing this to start an animal sanctuary." I had only heard about Amouranth in passing before, but this interview certainly left me with a very positive first impression of her.
I've never heard of her before but holy crap does she have my respect. Smart, determined, committed, she knows how the internet and people work and she uses those brilliantly. A woman owning her body and making bank with it. Hate her or love her, she is absolutely amazing at what she does. It’s not something I’d be comfortable doing but I applaud people who do. I read a book in 11th grade called Woman at Point Zero. It’s about a prostitute in Egypt who’s on death row for murder. It goes through how the men in her life would treat her as property to be given away to rather than a person. She eventually meets a prostitute who is very wealthy and helps teach her to take ownership of her body by selling it. The point of the story is showing how women’s bodies were/are only allowed to be exploited as long as a man’s in control or at least thinks he is. It’s a good read and it gives an interesting perspective on the sex industry and social issues in other countries.

I was a female t.v. character for Halloween when I was like 8 and went to the mall trick or treating. As a woman, I've gotten to a point to where I like dressing masculine for Halloween and other holidays to avoid getting catcalled. I was about 11 and got asked to flash a guy, to which I responded by walking faster and he followed me until I made it back to my friend. I didn't tell my parents or my friend, but it was disturbing. Yeah. It takes a lot of guts to objectify yourself like that, knowing exactly what the internet is like and what people are going to say and think. I would get equally upset with people who were actually into it and people who hated it because in either case they’re just most likely very weird creepy people. The fact that she’s willing to not just endure it but use it to her advantage in order to make herself so much money is really impressive.

yo... this really opens up who Amouranth really is with other documentaries and Ludwig's podcast, she may have done lots of controversial stuff and her content is quite non-conventional, but she knows what she is doing and what are the risks of it too. There are pros and cons with these types of content, but as long as you understand with the risks and accept it, go for it buddy. I watched this a few weeks ago and felt surprised by how she was so disconnected with content creation and what she does on her platforms, since most who are successful at least have some passion for what they do. It all makes so much sense now. I hope she gets out safe and can start doing what she really cares about soon. I am worried about her.

I'm selfishly glad someone else felt that. I read a book in 11th grade called Woman at Point Zero. It’s about a prostitute in Egypt who’s on death row for murder. It goes through how the men in her life would treat her as property to be given away to rather than a person. She eventually meets a prostitute who is very wealthy and helps teach her to take ownership of her body by selling it. The point of the story is showing how women’s bodies were/are only allowed to be exploited as long as a man’s in control or at least thinks he is. It’s a good read and it gives an interesting perspective on the sex industry and social issues in other countries.

This entire interview really put her in a diffrrent light for me. She took advantage of what she was given and really is genuine about it. Completely earned my respect.
I was a female t.v. character for Halloween when I was like 8 and went to the mall trick or treating. I really hated it so much but not because I was dressed as a girl but the fact that guys were so disgustingly cat calling me was gross. As a woman, I've gotten to a point to where I like dressing masculine for Halloween and other holidays to avoid getting catcalled. Most people who've ever lived have a (murder) body count of 0. Well, assuming we can discount long chains of one person murdering another, who gets murdered by a third person, and so on. Yeah. It takes a lot of guts to objectify yourself like that, knowing exactly what the internet is like and what people are going to say and think. I would get equally upset with people who were actually into it and people who hated it because in either case they’re just most likely very weird creepy people. The fact that she’s willing to not just endure it but use it to her advantage in order to make herself so much money is really impressive.

yo... this really opens up who Amouranth really is with other documentaries and Ludwig's podcast, she may have done lots of controversial stuff and her content is quite non-conventional, but she knows what she is doing and what are the risks of it too. There are pros and cons with these types of content, but as long as you understand with the risks and accept it, go for it buddy. She is also preparing for the future too cause the showbiz or entertainment won't last forever. Hope she can achieve her dreams like the animal sanctuary
