Who’s funnier than Curly Howard? Seriously? Shemp saved the Stooges. Nobody else is on their level. It was proven.
I like Shemp
I like Shemp and Curly equally. I couldn't pick a favorite between them, or for that matter between Moe, Larry, Curly or Shemp. Those four were comedy gold.
Curly was a great hit with younger fans because of his silliness, however, Shemp had his own style of humour, which I found more appealing to more audiences then kids. Nothing against Curly, as he had a rough life.
Curly is better here than in a lot of the shorts at the time. He has lost a lot of weight by this point. Still a good movie. Copy I have is from Rifftrax, who owe a lot to the three stooges.

Been writing a book about one of the bandleaders in this movie, Will Osborne. Helluva leader, singer, and otherwise. He also did stuff with Abbott & Costello back in 1944 - 1945. Did Curly Howard or any of the others even talk about him to you? Apparently they were good friend with him.

Loved these guys as a young boy in the 60's and I still do ! Timeless comedy.
Hilarious! I watch a lot of old movies and I think I saw this movie but I'm not 100% sure. I will have to check it out.
I haven't seen this film before. wasn't there another film the stooges were in but they were shown coming through the floor?
