I remember the 3 Stooges cartoons from my childhood, along with the Beatles cartoons in the mid 60s. And now I'm in my mid 60s. Thanks for the awesome gift.❤
In case anyone is wondering, the birds and Columbus are voiced by Mel Blanc, making this the second time being involved with a Three Stooges production. The first was as the voice of Quinto the puppet in Snow White and The Three Stooges.
This is the awesomest find of the year! Thanks for the share! Had I know this was happening, I would have pitched in some dough directly, but it's a great surprise nonetheless!!

There's more in the sense that every other post labeled "Three Stooges Scrapbook" consists of the live action short that was originally intended to bookend this cartoon. I would say that now it should be possible to reconstruct the entire original half-hour program, but the other parts don't begin to compare with the quality of this restoration job so it would not look great overall...
The 1965 cartoon of The 3 Stooges was by an animation company called Cambria Animation Inc. This 1960 cartoon was animated by a short lived animation company called TV Spots, Inc. Read it at the end of the credits if you can look beyond the blockings advertising other videos. Norman Maurer (Moe's son in law) tried to sell this and the live action part of "The 3 Stooges Scrapbook" as a whole package deal to at least two networks (CBS and ABC) at the time, but came up empty when both networks rejected the series. Columbia Pictures divided the two segments of both live action show and cartoon when the Stooges were still making movie deals with Columbia in co-association with Norman Maurer's Normandy Pictures, Inc. The results were issued to movie theatres as short subjects in September 1963 by Columbia. The Stooges made two more movies for Columbia/Normandy after that, "Around The World In A Daze", and "The Outlaws are a' Comin'" Normandy's final film was the unsold pilot "Kook's Tour" in late 1969. The live action scenes were re-shot in black & white and were inserted in the 1962 Columbia/Normandy movie "The 3 Stooges In Orbit."
I kind of want that square globe. Great share, good restoration of this film (I thought the cartoon and theme were from Videocraft, the theme song sounded like they used the same singers from the 1961 cartoons Tales of the Wizard Of Oz).
Isn't it funny how no idea is ever new? This episode proves that the flat earth theory has often resurfaced for many decades. Also it proves that the comedy of Gilbert Godfrey portraying an obnoxious bird like Yazo from the Lion King isn't a new gag

@CurlysGrandson,Thank you for sharing this with your fellow Stooge fans. I had only ever seen a black and white print of this. I love your channel and am a huge fan of your Grandfather and his brothers (as well as Larry Fine). Ive been watching the Three Stooges for many decades and they always make me laugh. Moe was so dedicated to keeping the trio going. Curly left us far too soon and when Larry passed and then Moe,both in 1975 it was the end of an era.
I love the 3 stooges. Curly was the heart of the stooges. Moe was the brains of the stooges. Shemp with his physical antics was the body of the stooges. The act was complete with Larry Fine. Larry was an important part of the team. Larry's voice was iconic.
I was wondering about this cartoon, Curly G! I saw bits of it in "The Three Stooges in Orbit," and knew someone would restore it! "Saddle up my Rolls Royce, son, and I'll be on my way." - Mr. Galveston of Galveston, the Stooges' Sponsor from the film
I remeber watching the episode where moe and larry were teaching curly Piglatin and it had me laughing so hard when moe said "Moe...O-May, Larry...Ary-Lay and curly?" Curly saying "Curly-Q" in a a happy voice and Moe's reaction were fantastic so much of my childhood I grew up watching Three Stooges (with Curly and Shemp) and Marx Brothers (even the movies with Zepo Marx) I'm 29yo and still love this old humor and slapstick gags, the movie that was made a few years ago I wanted to ask if the estates of the original three-stooges gave the approval and helped with the characters cause the actors portraying the original Moe, Curly, Larry were amazing it felt like watching the old shorts again and the directors really went all out recreating what the OG Stooges would have done or acted - I remember watching old time stuff, Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin, George Carlin, and even Old Peter pan movie 1960, Marx Brothers movies with my dad and still do to this day - I was in college a few years ago and a professor showed a Marx Brothers movie scene (famous mirror scene - with Groucho and Harpo and the broken mirror) and I was the only student in the class that knew the movie and scene everyone looked to me in shock and awe even my professor and well I'm an old soul in a young body type person - I really appreciate the hard work your team has done and love the skits keep them coming
Production-wise this looks a lot like the work of Total Television, who did stuff like "Underdog" and "Tennessee Tuxedo." At the very least, maybe some of the same animators were used..?
TV Spots actually animated the first few episodes of "King Leonardo and His Short Subjects" before Gamma Productions took over. Maybe that's what you were thinking of?
I always find it funny how the cartoon artist made Larry fatter than Curly Joe in the opening. He made Joe look normal compared to him in the cartoon opening, and how at 0:39 Larry so fat they have to drag him across the ground and his legs are way too small. Also I can't get enough of this song. I've been listening to it several times a couple weeks ago when I watched their Orbit film, and then I watched this.
Nice, this was lost media for a while. Thanks Brad/Chris/Andy for the restoration.
Never have I ever thought I’d see the day, an actual showing of the Three Stooges Scrapbook! Amazing 🤩
Great job of restoring this lost episode of the Three Stooges.
Brad, this is wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing. And hopefully we get more things like this. You Andy and Chris did a wonderful job.
The rare scrapbook in color by the three stooges. Thanks Brad. Awesome 😎👍🎥🎞️
OH MY GODDDD, FINALLY!!! THANK YOU, CURLY G! BLESS YOUR GRANDFATHER AND ALL OF THE STOOGES IN THE HEAVEN!!!
You can see the seeds of what their cartoon series would become.

It a very unique voice
Wonder why Mel didn't get a credit? I see five people besides the Stooges listed including Emil Sitka, who I *didn't* see or hear!
I was just wondering if that was Mel, voicing for the Parrot. Thx..!
😮 No way! Wow!
The bird sounded like Speedy Gonzales
I'm very much looking forward to this. 💗👍 Thanks so much. This was fun

thank you so much, Brad!!!❤
I had no idea they made another one of these. I thought there was just the one where some of the footage was repurposed into one of their movies.
They were originally one full short, a TV pilot from 1960. They were released as separate shorts in 1963 in theaters.

Such a rare treasure to find in all of Three Stooges history
I love this!! Thanks so much for sharing this!!
Thanks for this! This was briefly seen in The Three Stooges in Orbit.
This cartoon is different from the 3 Stooges cartoons. Thanks so much!! 😁👍 It's a special visual gift 🎁 ❤

Thank you for uploading this Holy Grail of Stooge film.
Is that Mel Blanc as the voice of Columbus and the parrot?
Yes it is.
They got the best to do voices
He also voices the Native American as well
This was so awesome to watch! I've never seen it before!
This is absolutely wonderful Brad. Thank you so much!
It’s fun. Anything with the stooges makes me smile
I saw in the ending credits that The Eligibles sang the theme. They later sang the Gilligan's Island theme for the second and third season.
Bradley, the best money you could have spent. Love the three stooges. Including the newer ones later. Great video loving it. Thanks!!!!

Was Moe taking care or your family after Curly passed? I love the stooges so much.
This is amazing!
R.I.P. All the pottery used and broken throughout the credits, along with the globe prop at 7:45
The pottery was all designed by Sascha Brastoff, who had his own ceramics studio and was a sculptor, artist and potter.
Curley Q, You Chuckleheads should learn that opening song and put it in the act!
Green Stamps! Feeling old.

I recognized that parrot as Mel Blanc from the moment it opened its beak.
This cartoon had a cameo in the movie Three Stooges in Orbit
Really nice animation.
This is great, Brad!
Thought was mel Blanc!
It is Mel blanc
I love how cartoon Curly Joe looks like a potato
Is this what I think it is? I think it was decent!
Is this the same feature that will be on the upcoming Three Stooges blu-ray boxset or is that something else?
loved it thanks
Were Moe, Larry and Curly Joe all voiced by Mel Blanc in this toon or were the voices sped up for comedic effect? Just wanna know.

This is great! I recently watched Stooges in Orbit and it's cool to see how the Stooges evolved over time
I think “The Three Stooges Go Around the World in a Daze” is my favorite Stooge film.
Interesting
This is a curious question: But have you ever met the late Mel Blanc?

1:10 who’s this actor as curly?
It’s Curly Joe DeRita. He became the 3rd Stooge in 1959 when Joe Besser left
Curly Joe was the worst.
