Bunch of armchair contractors here. I'm a licensed general contractor in two states, I've specialized in finish carpentry for the last 10 years. I. Am. Damned. Good. I can't fault this guy. I wouldn't do some things the same way, but this is gold. I remember starting out over 20 years ago. I would have given... quite a lot to have access to a video like this. Good job, dude.

You make it look too easy. I did this and the entire house fell down!

  • @kathyern861

First half of this video is "how to safely rip out the existing studs"

Someone needs to give you a show of your own. Knowledgeable, funny and handsome....total package.

  • @WeMe83

Also your talking about safety then you cut overhead with no safety glasses to protect your eyes and gloves to protect your hands.

100% chance I'm going to screw up the drywall on the other side of the wall 😂

😂Didn’t have to take the drywall off both sides

These comments really show what happens when a knowledgeable tradesman tries to actually teach regular people how to do things right, all the diy show watchers come out thinking they know what’s right and wrong. Trust the man, he knows what he’s doing.

when you popped the studs off the sheetrock without disturbing the finish that was impressive, cuz i would of ripped the rock off and started a 2nd project

thanks for the content. we're remodeling a house and have used your videos for pretty much every project we encounter. What's great is we don't search for this channel specifically. It's just that Jeff and his son seem to come up for everything. We search plumbing, flooring, drywall...whatever...and there he is. Much appreciated!

I really enjoy your videos! We are new home owners and I found you before we closed on our house. I was looking up painting. All of my friends ask, "Why aren't you taping?" All I have to say is, "Because you don't need to if you know how to cut." And they stop asking questions. Looking forward to putting in a pocket door in what will be our nerd office! Thank you!

The trick where you cut the studs and pull them out to not damage the drywall on the other side is HUGE!!!! I have textured drywall and I was able to do this with very limited repair. Amazing! I used this in my basement bathroom video on my channel.

Great Work. Its so refreshing to see someone do the job right, explain it in detail, and when encountering issues and flaws in previously done work not turn it into a opportunity to grandstand.

Your videos are never a disappointment. I always feel like it was worth the time to watch. You give great detail. Nothing left to chance.

I’ll admit about a year ago I was looking for a video to show me how to build a outdoor shed. I watched all 3 video from start to finish. Then every video you put out so far. For no reason really.

You are, by far, my favorite resource for all my diy projects. you have no idea how much you have helped me to know what's important and what isn't. Everything is straight forward and easy to understand! keep it up - oh this is 6 years old! hah... well I guess you have kept it up!
