I had this app running successfully and worked well on a different android device...but my new device and the new app requires registration of camera..which I managed, but then I could not connect directly to the camera wifi or do anything beyond that. Were there changes to the app and is there a newer tutorial?

Yes you can download videos that have been recorded in MP4 format.

Have you figured this out yet? Because I too have only been able to transfer or remote pictures. I don't know why Cannon would have excluded the capability to shoot video from this app? If only unless it is to get people to spend more money on dslr's that it is fairly simple to do from. I mean why would you not set it up to allow for viewing when your getting a real time shot??? This makes no sense to me, and I hope Canon will think about updating this.

Check that your videos have been shot in MP4 video format. Unfortunately videos shot in MOV video format cannot be downloaded

Hi the first time I used the app it worked perfectly..now I have a new phone and it doesn't connect, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app still not working...I'm flowing the steps but when I connect the WiFi and connect to the camera it says "no internet access" what am I doing wrong ..help

Hi Mark, try deleting the app from your phone and reinstalling then follow the video again. Hope this helps.
