I tried connecting my phone via wifi to my Canon 90d but it's probably the most utterly useless feature for me in this camera. I had purchased this camera for time lapse video capture mostly. But time lapse CANNOT be used when wifi is enabled. Do I need to buy the BR-E1 or something similar for this function? I feel like I threw my money in the garbage buying this camera only to find out that the main thing I wanted to use it for is limited. The camera always moves slightly when I press record manually no matter how careful I am. And even if I do manage to press record without budging the camera it's annoying having to stop what I'm doing to get up and press record all over again during a project. I'm new, if there's a way for me to be able to control time lapse on my camera remotely please elaborate.
I did it and was able to connect with my phone but can't control it my phone while trying to take a picture for myself. Would you elaborate on how or the steps to set your phone in order to control the 90D with your phone to take a picture for yourself?
Nice video. Easy explanation. Can you control video with the app on this or applicable Canon cameras? I use the Nikon D 500 but am not able to control the video via the Nikon app so it would be interesting to know how canon handles that? Looking forward to your videos this year.
