@RyanDaysSocksyo how did you do it? What was your price starting off? I’m trying to start my own and I got a few ideas on scaling the business but please give me any advice for just starting.
@@ZacLara-p9u i did a couple cheap ones for friends and co workers for pictures and social media content. It depends on where you live but I base all my prices off $50 phr. I only offer full interior and exterior details so the minimum ticket price is $130. I do maintenance services but only after the customer has purchased a full detail and and I price those at $70 once per month or $120 twice per month. Maintenance washes typically take me less than an hour
Great video! FInally seeing someone not overusing chemicals, I am a detailer myself and work alot with animals so I really feel what he´s doing and I love it! best wishes for the future from switzerland buddy!
Thanks for the good tips we just started here in Houston, TX. Right now it’s just on the side because I still work at a dealership but I use that to promote my business to potential customers. I’m not great at social media or putting out content so that’s something I’ve been working on.
Friends and family , post ads, and do an incredible job every time to get referrals. 6 years in, upgrading shops currently (going from 550 sq ft to 1,800 sq ft). You can do 20+K a month once you get rolling
Seriously considering this but need help on a couple of things. (1) Is it better to have your own water and power since your mobile? (2) Thinking about getting a decent trailer to pull behind my truck so i dont to get a big van to start with (3) Thougths thxs up front.
Friends and Family first, with discounts for referrals. And then Facebook ads. My first couple of clients are “grandfathered in” with DEEEEP discounted rates. Just because they helped me get it off the ground. But otherwise it’s just offering little things for reviews or referrals and repeated business. I’m looking to start adding google ads, but I still work a 9-5 and worry about that influx with my limited schedule for taking in cars.
Americans are cooked in the head at times haha just buy pricing of things that is from what I’ve seen over the years a 200 dollar American detail is just a standard vallet in the uk wish costs around £60/£80 max in most cases wish I could charge £200 for a vallet 😂
@davidsteckley8846 I'm in the bay area norcal I know but you'll need like I said at least 8 cars every day of the month to barely make the 8k like you say. And you know that's not true specially with everyone trying hop on the bus.
@@norcalsvt0354 better have other services to add to your bus that others don’t have. Heavy social media presence. Don’t chase after the cheap section 8 customers. You’re in the bay. This is the most realistic video on mobile detailing i have seen. I'm just over a year in and make 4k a month part time by myself
How many hours do you put in a week?
@jensensatake it varies but I guess average 15-20 per week

you want to start off cheap build clients, and skills then start charging worth your time

Where do the wise, make sure that you get a prenuptial agreement. Marriage is useless and hurts your business.
