    People hated the micro chip in the clones, but in my eyes that’s the best and only way for it to be believable that every clone turned on the Jedi. While there may of been a lot with no personal relationships with a Jedi general, there are plenty that do, and it would’ve caused a lot of clones to disobey the order. The microchips was the best execution of the order 66 idea to me

    • @jackwatson2776
      @jackwatson2776 4 года назад +218

      Victor Nikolai yeah but you gotta think about the Jedi that actually cared and nurtured their relationships with their clones. If Plo Koon was still with his battalion instead of being in that ship battle he probably would’ve survived

    • @TheArcher101
      @TheArcher101 3 года назад +310

      Agreed - we've spent years watching those Clones get very humanised and see those bonds and relationships with their Generals grow, even to the points of actual mutual care and friendship.
      You turn it around at the end and say "Oh, it was all an act and they really hated them all along" it kind of slaps the audience in the face for caring about those Clones and who they touched beyond just being soldiers.

    It's awful to see that Jesse was trying to resist. The fact that there was even the slightest hesitation shows that deep down he knew those orders didn't made sense and he wasn't real in control, but then the chip takes back over and "good soldiers, follow orders"

    • @albaradix1598

      Nah he didn't stop wanting Ahdoka dead,i think he hesitated because he knew he had to execute Rex or let him Disobey an order, he was his friend for the entire war so that makes sense, but, as they say,"Good soldiers follow orders"

    • @farfromregular

      the inhibitor chip to me seems like a back brace, keeping a straight posture is following orders, but when you slouch (disregard orders), the brace pops you back into that straight posture of following said orders.
      I don't think Jesse cared for Ahsoka, just Rex, which was what caused him to slightly hesitate and then snap back into posture.

      The civilians had it worse I’d argue. They lived everyday in war just like the soldiers except they couldn’t even defend themselves. That bad Martez arc and the fall of the jedi shed light on that. People believed that the Jedi betray the republic because they would just destroy all the separatists droids on the planets they “rescued” and call it a day, leaving the innocent civilians in ruins with plenty dead and traumatized

    The Clone Wars had the saddest depiction of Order 66: watching the clones we've come to love, clones who painted their helmets orange because they were so excited to see and serve under Commander Tano again and wanted to show just how much they missed her, turn on her with no hesitation from anybody besides Rex. The calm feel on the ship as Maul is put into a cell and they hop into hyperspace on their way towards Corusant, followed up by Ashoka feeling what happened in Palpatine's room through the Force, is terrifyingly uneasy. I still knew what was going to happen, because the episode description gave it away, but I couldn't help but break down as it happened. Episode 3 and Battlefront 2 are good summaries of Order 66, episode 3 showing what happened and a clone monologuing about it in Battlefront 2; Jedi Fallen Order had a better, more emotional Order 66, with Cal having to leave the cruiser and watching his master die by the clones; Clone Wars has the best scene for the reasons above, and nothing will top it. Ever.

    When you think about it, some clones would have had to survive the crash, sense Rex and Ahsoka only buried the clones from the hanger and the ship is to big to bury everyone. When Mace’s ship is shot down, several clones survive and are only killed by boba and the bounty hunters. They crashed in a more flat position then mace’s and most of their ship was in tact, unlike mace who still had survivors so it’s likely some clones survived the crash. RIP Jesse though😢

    What I liked of pre-chip canon is that shows that at the end, almost every clone was as loyal as Jesse to the republic. I mean, the only reason the clones were loyal to the jedi was because they were the high command officers. Once they were declared traitors they lost their position, and therefore, the clones didn't have to be loyal to them anymore. Plus, the majority of Jedis treated clones as droids instead of humans

      Yeah some like Bacara and Neo didn't really have a strong relationship with their generals and all clones were bred to be loyal to the republic and you also have to remember not all jedis treat their clones kindly like Obi Wan or Anakin and treat them like living droids. And also remember Jessie was there to witness Krells betrayal and we've never seen him really interact with Ahsoka so he's not as close to her as Rex (who he might see as Dogma in this situation). So there's a good chance Jessie might still order 66 without chip so a lot of clones are still more loyal republic than jedi also most that do mainly interact with jedi personally are high rank officers mainly, while rest of legion or company just respect them as a leader, though if they are a good leader and don't treat them as disposable tools they might actually hesitate.
