Jesse was certainly an amazing arc trooper. Also noting the fact that when Rex tried to talk some sense into jesse in the hangar, you could see a slight bit of hesitation from him meaning he did try his hardest to stop the chip from manipulating him but it was too strong.
Rex tried to persuade the clones in the hangar to betray the Republic. There were no chips, all clones were raised from birth as wars of the republic, each clone carried out order 66 for the sake of the republic. Rex is simply a traitor, he killed all his people for the sake of the traitor Jedi.
I watched the deserter episode again and if you focus on scenes with Jesse taking lead whilst Rex is injured, you notice how skilled he is as a trooper and leader. I feel like he was the rank of Corporal or sergeant but they would never mention it because it so all of a sudden when he became an ARC lieutenant.
The first time I knew hard case was during the few episodes leading up to his death. And I didn’t know Jesse until season seven I didn’t know about their involvement during that whole mission to retrieve general grievous in fact I didn’t even remember the names of the clones during that episode

So Jesse and the rest of the clones only received the order to execute order 66. He did all of that for the republic, not the empire. He really was a true soldier to the republic. It makes you wonder if Jesse would have to get rid of his republic logo on his helmet.
I wish the clone wars lasted twice as long. Eight years rather than four years. But I guess that would make every clone death a little more devastating...

NOBODY IS PROLLY GONA READ THIS BUT I think there's an error in the beginning of this vid. The year he was born is wrong. If you remember in episode 2, The Minister of Kamino said that the clones had an accelerated growth rate, since a clone with a normal growth rate would take a lifetime to grow.
