The Clones were the most tragic characters we've seen in Star Wars history. Originally were meant to fight and defend the Republic, giving their lives for others to live. But then, once Palpatine played a bonus card implementing the Stormtrooper Program, the Clones were all but discarded. Those who were forcefully retired ended up homeless, and what's worse, used as test subjects locked up in prison. The Clones do deserve a better life at this point after the Clone Wars.. It's sad that they all gave up their lives for nothing.
I agree partially. Mostly because there other characters who were equally tragic (Maul, Grievous, Vader, Kenobi, etc). The clones were so highly tragic.
They were all essentially slaves to the Republic and the Empire, no better then the clankers they fought against, as the clankers could not fight their programming, neither could the majority of the Clone Army, bred for one thing only, war and once won, discarded.
Not only that but were forced to turn thier guns on thier friends (Jedi, fellow troopers, civilians ect) as we saw in Bad Batch that's why alot of the clones started rebelling, even with the chips they couldn't rationalize and accept the lies. Star Wars is a tragedy opera with an eventual happy ending, but it was a rough road to get there..

@@SWFT_edits Had the exact same video concept planned -- but I didn't know how to handle the music. E.g. when Ahsoka is shot at by Rex, the original music played in Clone Wars at that moment I insisted had to be in the final edit. So, I gave up on the idea as unrealistic. But you did a good job, 10/10. Just wish we could use John Williams' music.. even remixes. Did you use any other software besides premiere?
This is the best tribute about Clones I've ever seen. And not just for Clones, but for the entire team who created Clone Wars. I believe George Lucas, Dave Filoni and specially the Voice actor for all all the clones, Dee Bradley Baker would be so proud of this! ❤️
Rewatching it while I was in made it cut so much deeper and made me connect with them so much more. It’s so easy to see them with their boys the exact same way I saw me with my boys. Even if we weren’t identical, there’s still that bond you develop with them. I still talk to guys I deployed with several times regularly.
Each clone started the same, expendable, cannon fodder. But as they grew and developed around each other they grew into individuals that were treated as lesser beings. They were forced into a war high they didn’t ask for but wouldn’t exist without. The clone wars makes it so sad for all the clones who died for nothing and then they were thrown away. Once the empire began they were forgotten. It is truly beautiful.
Star Wars is a Shakespearean space tragedy at its core. It takes notes from each and every tragedy including Romeo and Juliet, MacBeth, Hamlet, Julies Ceaser, and even Othello. Great stuff.
I am not going to lie about this, the scene of the homeless clone from the prequels made me tear up. As a die-hard clone wars fan, I did not remember that scene and it hurt, way too close to home for our current day soldiers. Very very well done, thank you for the hard work and effort you put into this.
And sadly, with the direction Bad Batch is going with what seems to be a systemic either mass execution or mass lobotmizing clones to become death troopers, being a destitute clone on the side of street is one of the better outcomes for them. I wish Rex could have found that clone. Bit by that point, something had clearly happened that lead him to give up the fight and flee with Wolff and Gregor to live a solitary life
I have no words to describe how perfect this is. All the clone tributes I've watched, this is by far the best I've ever seen. Even made me tear up. The clones deserve more.
Incredible job, my friend! I've never seen a better tribute to the Clones for years and you portrayed their brotherhood and comradery so well. Absolute chills!
One of the most heart-rending storylines in all of Star Wars is not about the jedi sith or the war but rather that which we caught glimpses of each time we saw it
It's amazing how even while all the clones share the same voice, you can differentiate who is talking at any moment in this video while having your eyes closed. Big props to the show for doing that, for giving OUR clones the individuality and uniqueness they deserve
This is incredible, seriously. The story of the clones in Star Wars is both beautiful and tragic. Honestly , I've been holding my breath during mando season 3, because any minute we're going to find out what happened to the rest of the clones, and it's going to be hard to watch
I really miss the clones. They were just as much victims as the Jedi were. They were used from the very beginning and no one knew it. I remember the Clones. All of them were heroes in their own way, and if there had been a way. They could have been saved. They could have helped the Republic.
Almost a million views is still not enough. Every Star Wars fan needs to see this. This video has so much passion and emotion wrapped up in it. I can’t imagine a better way to commemorate the clones. This tribute gives me chills every single time I watch it. It is a true masterpiece.
This was Incredible. As Someone who grew up with The Clone Wars, It was My Childhood and this just made Me So Emotional. The Clones were the most Brave And Loyal Soldiers The Republic could have asked for. They were all Identical, and yet each one of them was unique. They Protected their Brothers, And They Gave Everything For The Republic, Only to be cast aside after being programmed to destroy the Generals they served under. I cannot express how much They Mean To Me. Thank You, For making this Wonderful Tribute.
Looks like tomorrows lunch break will consist of watching this video Update during lunch as someone who watched on Cartoon Network and watched countless times again and again on Disney+ you nailed exactly what it was like to be a clone wars fan and the story of the clones
“STOP FIRING! WE’RE FIRING AT OUR OWN MEN” What a wreck that put me in, makes me think that’s what’s going on in the clones head but the chip takes complete control
If someone told me a few years ago that I would care about those nameless drones with the same faces in episode 2 and 3 I would laugh in their face. Now here we are, Rex, Hunter, Howzer and so many damn others I love them all. Thanks for this great tribute to these great characters!
Sometimes i think we are unfair to the more new Star Wars content because this is what we compare it too. This is just so above and beyond in terms of quality (the show as well as the Tribute) that it just aint fair to compare it to anything. But than again it proves how incredibly good Star Wars content can be, it is an ideal to strive for.

Its likely not going to be that widespread or known since clones were allowed to retire like Rex.
@@CyberSonic-V3.0 unless it gets out about what’s going on to clones
Soldiers follow orders
But officially there never was a clone rebellion
"That is what soldiers do. We should be doing more." Now thats some chills
This tribute is just perfect.
Gavee goosebumps more then once, and the order 66 part with the "We are shooting at our own" gave me the chills.
“Taking any order without question” RIP the great Pong Krell who was viciously mutineed upon for no reason after they’d been questioning orders for days
" Then perhaps some good has come of it. The Republic couldn't have asked for better soldiers. Nor I for a better friend. "
This breaks my heart every time man. Brilliant work.
Just casually dropped the hardest Star Wars Edit ever. Outside of audio issues at some points, this is amazing. I hope you do an update on this once the final season of Bad Batch comes out next year
Thank you!🙏🏼
Regarding the audio issues, if you check my other edits they're not really a thing, and the weird pops weren't originally in this one either but the project in Premiere somehow glitched and I couldn't fix it but still wanted to release.
@@SWFT_editsYeah the only other edit of yours that I noticed it on was the original Vader one before you reuploaded it. Keep up the great work though man! You’re one of the few RUclipsrs who actually knows how to put together clean edits of Star Wars
@@viIden Audacity and an AI-audio cleaner for some dialogue but besides that just premiere! And thank you!
The clones deserve so much better, this is such a beautifull tribute!
Every choice you made let you to this masterpiece. Thank you in the name of all the clone's fans ! ❤
the best era in all of star wars. FOR THE REPUBLIC!
TCW is arguably the greatest series ever made. Thanks for this amazing tribute
That Tech’s last single shot executing the plan 99, that was one of the best shots I’ve ever seen.
This is the best tribute about Clones I've ever seen. And not just for Clones, but for the entire team who created Clone Wars. I believe George Lucas, Dave Filoni and specially the Voice actor for all all the clones, Dee Bradley Baker would be so proud of this! ❤️
goosebumps throughout the whole thing, this is absolutely incredible
“Clones You May Be, But In The Force Very Different You Are, For Inspiration Look Towards Yourself & Those Around You” -Grandmaster Yoda
I cried the whole video because it shows how unnecessary war is and how many lives it destroys, even in our world just because of one person's plan
Literally one of the best clone tributes I’ve ever seen. Top notch work. For the Republic!
The Clones story is a tragedy and you perfectly captured that here. Perfect tribute for Star Wars day!
Now I see why my friends in the military love the clone wars so much
Rewatching it while I was in made it cut so much deeper and made me connect with them so much more.
It killed me in Kenobi when I saw that scene ans is still a gut punch
And sadly, with the direction Bad Batch is going with what seems to be a systemic either mass execution or mass lobotmizing clones to become death troopers, being a destitute clone on the side of street is one of the better outcomes for them. I wish Rex could have found that clone. Bit by that point, something had clearly happened that lead him to give up the fight and flee with Wolff and Gregor to live a solitary life
I have no words to describe how perfect this is. All the clone tributes I've watched, this is by far the best I've ever seen. Even made me tear up. The clones deserve more.
The clones were true warriors. Rest in peace! Honestly the clones who died before Order 66 were the lucky ones.
Rex shouting “stop firing! We are shooting at our own men!” Fits so Well with the order 66 scenes. Really hits man
That was a great cut. I think George and Dave would be happy to see people treat their content with such respect.
Incredible job, my friend! I've never seen a better tribute to the Clones for years and you portrayed their brotherhood and comradery so well. Absolute chills!
I have no words... This was beautiful.
This edit... made my skin crawl. This is actually the first edit I cried to and actually felt what those clones felt. They deserved a better fate.
I REALLY hope Dave and the rest of the crew who worked on these shows has seen this. I unironically think it would move Dave to tears.
Insane Edit! Makes you realize the brotherhood the clones shared.
Live to fight another day boys - live to fight another day!
One of the most heart-rending storylines in all of Star Wars is not about the jedi sith or the war but rather that which we caught glimpses of each time we saw it
Man that plo koon line always get me teared up
It's amazing how even while all the clones share the same voice, you can differentiate who is talking at any moment in this video while having your eyes closed. Big props to the show for doing that, for giving OUR clones the individuality and uniqueness they deserve
This why I love the clones so much
The survivors of this incredible army will reach their conclusion in Bad Batch Season 3.... FOR THE REPUBLIC!
This was incredible. The clones will always be my favorite part of Star Wars. Thank you for this tribute!
This is incredible, seriously. The story of the clones in Star Wars is both beautiful and tragic. Honestly , I've been holding my breath during mando season 3, because any minute we're going to find out what happened to the rest of the clones, and it's going to be hard to watch
Spoiler we don’t
The clone wars TV show added so much to the clones, their story is so sad but so intresting
Last shot with 99 was PERFECT
This should be the intro before the next starwars movies in theaters. People should see the legacy of the forgotten Grand Army of the Republic
I’m not even done with the video yet. I haven’t cried like this since Coco.
“He’s doing what a soldier does…” And here it comes again!
This was amazing. It perfectly captured the tragedy of the clones and everything that happened to them.
It is a true masterpiece.
why is this not a trailer to a movie or something its amazing!!!!!
Got tears in my eyes watching this. Ever since I've finished the clone wars. Cant explain how many tears this brought.
I love how even though they are clones, we can tell who said which voice lines
This is the best clone edit i have ever seen. Wow amazing. Mark my words this edit will be very popular and will reach a lot of people.
This is one of the best Star Wars animation videos in the world.
This is literally the greatest tribute I’ve ever seen anyone make! Literal chills
I almost felt it in my soul man this made me cry..
8:32 99 being the last shown clone(before the final shot)...he really was one of the best
8:02 is my favorite moment, all of the emotions built up release with “You made me remember who I am!”
Bro is going to knock our socks off as he always does.
“It’s just a kids show!”
SWFT: Hold my beer.
Looks like tomorrows lunch break will consist of watching this video
Update during lunch as someone who watched on Cartoon Network and watched countless times again and again on Disney+ you nailed exactly what it was like to be a clone wars fan and the story of the clones
These all feel like movie trailers! Good talent
“STOP FIRING! WE’RE FIRING AT OUR OWN MEN”
What a wreck that put me in, makes me think that’s what’s going on in the clones head but the chip takes complete control
Absolutely amazing, really shows the struggle the clones went through. Everything they stood for, forced to turn on
The amount of work that goes into these videos is astonishing
If someone told me a few years ago that I would care about those nameless drones with the same faces in episode 2 and 3 I would laugh in their face. Now here we are, Rex, Hunter, Howzer and so many damn others I love them all. Thanks for this great tribute to these great characters!
Man that was perfection.
So much emotion in so little time...
