@@tokyoboi07 That was in July. I've seen the start of that trail be completely snowed in with 4ft snow drifts in May. Keeping an eye on the snow pack in that area should be a big help.
Great video! Nice to see the few additions to the new rig. I enjoyed the added fishing segment and of course Trails and Cocktails!!! Oh and you are a pretty decent blind pilot 😁
@@grandeoverland6787 we are in the woodland park area. There is definitely quite a bit we want to explore further north of the Leadville line. Buena Vista has been a nice area but I want to get up to those alpine lakes. Also the flat top area by glenwood looks nice.
@@FlewTheCoop I've done some camping in the Woodland Park area, it's a quick easy way to get out. The flat tops are amazing, I try and squeeze in at least one trip there a summer.
Hey man just wondering how the road to the trailhead was as you remember? I have a 2wd and want to hike up to the lakes but don’t wanna get stuck way back there
@@samvonschrader5201 You would be totally fine until the 1 gate keeper. You saw my truck struggle pretty bad on that obstacle in 4L. Depending on what you are driving, it could possibly be done, but I don't want to put you in a bad position. There is another trailhead at the very beginning where you can leave you ride, or just your vehicle as far as you are comfortable and leave it at an empty campsite. Hope this helps and you have a great trip.
That was a great trail! Some amazing fishing too! Great video!
Thank you. If you like more of the rock crawling type of adventure, part 2 might be up your alley. Above tree line with amazing views...of course.
Thanks bro your videos rock! Peace out from Loveland
Thanks man, glad you liked the video!
Gorgeous thumbnail and opening shots my friend. You elaborated this so nicely!
Glad you enjoyed it. Feel lucky to have a place like this only a few hours from home. Can't wait to get back up there to explore some new areas
Amazing and great content!!
@@tokyoboi07 Thank you. Really just can't wait to get out there and do some more filming...and make a few more cocktails 😉
When did you go by chance ?? I wanted to see how the recent conditions are up there in the alpine lakes. I was assuming they are all frozen

I’m loving all your videos. Using them as a list of places I need to visit. 🙌🏻
Good to hear! Hope I can add a few more spots to your list over the next couple months.

I like your style.
Thank you. It's not for everyone, some might say it's an acquired taste but I try and be a little different. LOL
I enjoy your Colorado videos. Subbed.
Thank you. This might actually be my favorite trip. Had just about everything we'd want on an adventure.

what time of year was this filmed? Was looking at going over 4th of july weekend, but not sure how the water crossing will be looking right now
That was the 3rd week of July. There was more snow this winter, but hopefully it won't be too high.
@@grandeoverland6787 Thanks! Are there any trails you would suggest checking out that arent covered in snow right now?
@@OverLookAdventures Crooked Creek and Beaver Ridge by Fairplay. 7mile to Natural Bridge. Clohesy Lake should be good to go as well.
Is Dewey a certain breed? Or, just a terrier mutt?
Option 2 seems more accurate. He was a used dog, so I can't know for sure. I'd say he is a border terrier mix. Might get him tested some day.
