This is a start of a new series where we will be racing through a round of 100 Mario Challenge on Expert! We're allowed 5 skips throughout the race (rules may change since this is the first episode).

As far as screen watching goes, Tyler is probably my favorite character. His passive abilities aren't that great, but his naturally high magic stat is a big redeeming quality.
You can even run him as a healer if you're a little more experienced.
+Cheddar chris was acting cool and that but the levels he got they were just to trolly... and muliple paths... and tyler did a great job he knew the end was coming and by the end both get to the same level XDD
+Cheddar Always a great healer yes, though I would prefer Chris due to the insane crits. The rng isn't usually on my side though. I would run T in my party since the buffs are beneficial to both champions.

This was SUPPOSED to go up on Monday, but the render and upload took a total of 12 hours, which I was not expecting. So, for the first week, it'll be "Mario Maker Tuesdays" ;)

Super long levels and enemy-spammers are the true dirt of Mario Maker right now. While automatic levels are non-interactive, at least they take some form of planning and can be enjoyable. But enemy-spammers are usually just awful because of RNG and super long levels - even if pretty well-designed - become exhausting to play without a checkpoint system.
I just want a tagging system. That's all, Nintendo. That's all.
+TTKB Automatic levels are my favorite because of the creativity. And some enemy spamming levels can be fun, however 99% of them are just little kids that have never played a Mario game before :P
+JRmysteries Automatic are pretty boring... if you want to watch a movie.. why not just watch a movie? If you want to watch a cool mario run, why not watch a speedrun or someone skilled run?

These four player races are awesome! And 100 Mario Challenge Expert Mode is......well, it's something that's for sure. I love when jerks make levels that run up the entire 500 seconds and put an off-screen Thwomp right at the end. And people who make "automatic" levels that kill you if you aren't paying attention should have their Wii U shattered. Oh well, that's to be expected I suppose lol
Instead of a limited number of skips, why not a skipping option after a certain number of deaths? Like if you fail 5 times (While legitimately trying) You get to skip. That would keep it more competitive and you don't get stuck if you've used all your skips and stumble on a Kaizo level.
You guys should set a bunch of good levels for you guys to run through. Just save them on your favorites then race
Maybe on Mario Maker Mondays, you'll should expand ur skips to 10 skips for the limit in case of an impossible level like troll levels for example.

I suggest that it doesn't matter the number of skips. Because looking at Spencer's first levels was horrible especially since he isn't good with those types of games and then looking at Chris being stuck on a troll level and losing his lives as if he was drinking water.... it just didn't made sense... (I have yet to see Tyler and Tyson's play haha)
Or I suggest you all choose the same levels to do with no skips.

You should have it so that you can skip as much as necessary, but you need to play the level at least 10 times.
That way you can play it enough to judge if it's something you feel you can beat, or if it's a rubbish spammer level.

Like the idea, each week can you rotate whos sound it is? Also you could add the number of the stage the erson is on next to their name, not sure if thats alot of editing
Tyler's spring level with the false arrows was the absolute worst fucking level design ever. What an utter garbage heap of a level.

Chris is the one that always introduces the videos, watch this video again for example.
Tyler has the deepest voice of them all commonly complains.
Tyson usually wins, however is always very quiet.
Spencer is also very quiet but he speaks a little more often and complains a little, unlike Tyson.

What if you all make 10 levels each and then another person plays them? For an example, Chris makes 10 levels and Tyson plays them, and vice-versa. That would make sure that there are no BS maps and you would know who to blame if something is shit :P
It was already hard enough watching all of your screens and trying to keep up but now this race is you guys racing on different levels which is even more harder to watch.

I'd say make a min number of attempts before allowing a skip instead of a set number of skips. it will level the playing field i.e. 10 attempts for Spence is very different than 10 attempts for Tyson relative to their skills.

my idea is that before every race you do, you play a random level (all the same level) and the order of you guys finishing determines who gets how many skips.
So honestly, I thought this whole race was executed pretty perfectly. The rules, I think, are fair, but I agree with Chris in that maybe the Skip count should be higher. I'm not sure if infinite Skips would be the best, but at the very least 10-15, so that you guys don't have to spend 20 minutes on a really lame level. It might not seem fair to some (since there's always the chance of getting easy levels) but it'll work better that way, and be more enjoyable to watch/play in the long run. Also, I think that in the case of a Game Over, maybe just let the person play through it again to see if they can catch up? Though it'd probably be unlikely, you never know with how crazy the level designs are XD
At any rate, I really love this idea, and hopefully there's a lot more of these in the future c:

Maybe you guys could do a future race with infinite skips, but it would be who could beat 100 Mario challenge through all three difficulty courses first (Easy, Medium, Expert).

Rather than a 5 skip limit, I believe 8 - 10 skips is a good limit considering the quality and fairness of many levels you can find online may be very questionable at best.

It would be nice to see you guys playing the same levels. One idea would be to choose 5 challenging but fair levels, and see who can finish it first.

Well I watched it once, but I'm not too eager to do it again. First off, playing on expert mode is a bad idea because Spencer will never be able to keep up. He got to his third level after using five skips and wasn't able to beat it. That's insane. You guys should play normal to make it at least a little bit fair.
Also, it's a little disappointing if you're watching one person, and another person wins. The guy you're watching doesn't even get to finish his run. I suggest you guys at least allow everyone to finish. Or, perhaps you could drop the race thing and just play normal or expert mode together, taking turns for each level.

May I suggest unlimited skips but a minimum of three attempts per level? The waste of lives and time without advancing, I think, is punishment enough.

it would be more competitive and easier to watch the whole thing if it wasn't 16 maps maybe 8 maps with 3 skips maybe 16 rounds of normal with 5 skips would be kind of cool to watch
