- Drones make a lot of noise, but some drones make more noise than others. In this video I record four of the latest and greatest drones, the DJI Avata, the DJI FPV drone, the DJI Mavic 3, and DJI Air 2S to see how they compare.
Recorded using the Nikon Z9 and Rode Videomic Pro
#DJI #drone #DJIavata
This ss an example of what all Videos should be, No BS, no crap music, just right to the point. well done.
Frr
This is a good video. No flashy intro's or smooth talking influencer-crap. Straight to the point. Thank you. The point being: DJI AVATA is seriously noisy, why would you fly such device ?
If you want to inspect a bridge or a windmill, you don't really care about the noise. Drones are used by many professionals for various needs which can be totally different than the ones an amateur has. Some amateurs could want to use it for other qualities like good video quality or its stability (I don't know its specs). Different people have different needs.
@@cluxter-org So, the pro's use a DJI Avata for wall and bridge inspections. Interesting.
@@MarcKlaassen As I said I don't know anything about the specs of this drone. Read again.
The DJI Avata is designed for fast cinematic flights, and it also needs to be capable of doing aerobatics so you can get the best shots. Because of that, it needs to be powerful enough to go fast and do all those maneuvers which means using more powerful motors for more thrust. Because of that, it’s very loud. However, it’s not something the manufacturer would be concerned about as it’s meant for speed and maneuverability, not for slower speeds, regular aerial video/photography, and as less noise as possible. If you ask who would fly such a device? Well, FPV pilots and drone pilots who either need to get a cinematic video of something fast like a sports car, motorcycle, or RC airplane or just a cinematic video of them flying through a cool place at a high speed
Pretty easy to guess. With smaller props you trade off for noisier/ higher pitch of sound. Also, thanks for going straight to the point. Very helpful video
I brought my FPV to fly around vineyard hills in Turckheim and the whole town knew that I was flying that screaming banshee. I flew from a hill and could hear that bitch from another hill, the town was in the valley of those hills. Same to my Avata.
Their noise prevents me from flying in nice parks where people chill and enjoy the time.
Nice video. Straightforward and to the point.
It doesn't prevent you. Youre just thoughtful. 😊
I dont fly my DJI FPV as much because of the damn noise. Its ridiculously loud 😂
Whoever comes up with a method to quieten prop sound way down is going to make a FORTUNE.
Mag lev drone
The mini 3 is pretty quiet
Well not all drones are loud lol. There are ways to make prop noise quieter, but it only works on camera drones. FPV drones like the DJI FPV and Avata, or any other other FPV drone out there that needs a lot of thrust spins it’s props so fast, that the prop’s blade tips can go either transonic, or even supersonic in some cases if the prop has a good tip design. In both cases, some parts of the prop would create a shockwave bc of supersonic airflows going over them. That would be very hard to get rid you would need to make structures of some sort on the blades which would just create a lot of drag at those RPMs and it would be pointless of having that much power

Nice video. Straight to the point. Beautiful!
Keeps me up at night, nothing scares me as these sounds do.
Thank you. Most reviewer not telling about avata noise
Ukraine War PTSD Exposure Therapy... I wish I was joking
这个笑话有点地狱了(
For the Mavic 3, I recommend getting the Master Airscrew props for it.
There's a very noticable sound reduction, plus it makes the pitch of the sound a bit lower, more rumbly.
An to top it off it gives you better flight time and such ✌
Their DJI FPV props though... so much louder. 😂
I want to be able to hear it so I can down it easier!
Thanks for this video comparison, my Avata is so noisy, it makes me feel really be hesitant to take it with me to shoot on trips unfortunately... nothing comparable with the Air2S or the mini pro 3 which make a very reasonable low pitch noise.
Excellent.
fantastic video comparing them to each other. Can you possibly make one that compares the Avata to the mini 3 pro?
The blades of grass in the wind are about as loud as the mini 3 pro. Only partially joking.
The mini 3 pro is the quiet drone from dji
0:25 the Avata has an advantage over the others. It can go into turtle mode and flip if it lands upside down. Plus it can stop on the dime in forward acceleration. Plus it’s smaller than the other in the video. It loses power as it turns which is an advantage. Hard target
New detection software might need to be created in order to simulate groups in migration
The last two drones didn’t turn in the video. You can’t hear the sound that changes as it moves from side to side. Important to know
Impossible not to hear that its like a chainsaw above your head.
FPV is my first drone and I assumed it would be a Karen bringing machine but I haven't once had anyone complain about the noise... I like more Cinewhoop style flying but the Avata is so loud I can't bare to buy it. I may have to go into the world of custom FPV.
Altought flying custom fpv drones is imo a lot more fun, you should know that you really have to go all in if you want to build your own quads.
Also the noise of the avata is standard for all 3 inch cinewhoops because of the smaller props and higher rpm
I personally don’t care about how much noise it makes. In fact, I find it cooler as IMO any FPV drone is like a fighter jet in a way as they’re fast and loud. I mean when a jet flies by, you can tell it has some very serious power pushing it bc of the noise it makes, which is why I find loud FPV drones fun. You can tell they’re super powerful that way lol
best air 2s
I can't decide if I prefer the Air 2s or the Mavic 3.
A single mavik 3 is too high maintenance to be practical in a sticky situation. Also It sounds like a a group of locusts amplified in one unit. The pitches might change drastically in group migration
the avata is noisy as hell
It really is pretty obnoxious, both in volume and the irritating quality of the sound! It bothers people I know who don't mind my other drones, and it terrifies birds and other animals that normally just ignore drones.
@@Illuminationsfromtheattic from your test it seems noisy in flight and quiet when just armed (not yet in flight).
@@ohlala6674 Yep, the pre-flight "armed" stage for the FPV drones is fairly quiet because the motors are running at a very low speed prior to takeoff.
@@Illuminationsfromtheattic need to test other props
@@Illuminationsfromtheattic THIS IS the one question that remains hanging in my mind, after watching all those reviews on You tube. Nobody mention this problem. It is strange that even the DJI FPV sounds better than Avata.
I agree
Tnx for cutting out the crap and straight to the point
0:27 Sounds like the crying mandrake-plants in Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets
Mavic 3 sounds best
Is mavic 3 better then avadaaa
no.3 The sound of flies
Avata 1 is a great drone, but also terrifying noisemaker lol! I'm so glad they fixed that in Avata 2.
@@Illuminationsfromtheattic 😂
Kind of like bird watching. You can recognize the birds by their chirp
The new tech drones might not be for defeating soldiers. But resources alone
I'm being forced to sell my FPV because it's too loud and scaring our horses, so before I sell it, does anyone know a way to make it quieter?
Sell the horses
I have the Avata and it is loud, but I just got the new master air screw props and they are slightly less noisy but not loads. sell the horses..lol 🙂
Fly it somewhere else then lol. If you love flying it, then keep it as it is but fly it somewhere else. You might wanna get something like a 3 inch toothpick FPV drone which is very quiet and flies just like the DJI FPV if you can mainly fly in that one area. The toothpicks are also pretty cheap too and if you don’t have the right controller for one or goggles, you can get a whole kit for like 125 dollars
I got mine Mavic air 2 great drone next one fpv avata it's too small and weak signal
Don't click this video near a Russian or Ukrainian and specially veterans .. don't ask me why
Im not considering buying Avata because of noise :(
DJI AVATA 🚀🤘 🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊 MAX
I wish I'd heard what the Avata sounds like before I impulse bought one.
SO annoying, I can't fly it anywhere because it pisses people off with the annoying REEE!
Wish I'd waited a year and bought a Mini Pro 4.
The Avata is loud amd annoying and the goggles and control are outdated.
Avata 2 is a huge improvement, the original was absurdly loud!
Maverick 3 Quite
Anyone else here preparing to learn the difference between having a "care package" dropped on me from a few hundred feet or if I'm gonna hear that high pitched whir and then nothing at all... Just me...
Ptsd
Does anyone know the quitest drone out there that I can buy?
The M3P is really quiet
Is M3P Mavic 3 Pro or Mini 3 Pro😂
😢🎉😂😢🎉🎉
This was obvious but thanks
