One big thing that I recently noticed which is worth mentioning. The Care Refresh cover for the FPV is £189 and you then have to pay £249 for the first replacement if you crash, water damage or flies away. for the Avata the Care Refresh is only £55 and the first replacement £45. So it will be a lot cheaper to recover or replace your Avata drone against any accidental damages.

Visually your setup with the foreground and background, stylization of colors, subtlety of lighting, simplicity, the silence (non-music), your voice, your demeanor... This is the most pleasant review video I've watched. Your style feels modern, measured, expert, and calming, all done through simplicity. I love the yellow with with the dark grays and subtle teal/turquoise. Love the wooden table too. I know I put a lot of words into this comment, but I'm a film-maker in the making, so this type of stuff is what I really like to observe and appreciate, and create.

A friend of mine Don had the fpv drone, but couldn’t get used to flying in manual mode so he sold it to his, more or less, son in law Dan. Dan did the hack for unlimited height and took it over to Bali for filming and to fly it up the mountains, which he did. For some reason it had a hissy fit and decided that it was going to auto land half way up the mountain because the battery was low, even though it said on screen that it had something like 60% power still. Yep, he lost it, it’s still up on mount Agung I think it’s called ☹️. In the meantime, my mate Don bought the AVATA and don had let Dan and I try it just with the motion controller, as he hadn’t got the proper remote control yet. We both loved it. Dan sent a message to dji, with the information and data on the problem he had with the loss of his fpv drone, and they offered him a 40% discount on the AVATA, he jumped at the chance and got it and he loves it. Got the chance yesterday to fly Don’s with the proper remote for a whole flight with one of the batteries, I’m blown away with the feel and the goggles as well. Definitely going to start saving up for one, because it’s brilliant. Moral of the story is, don’t just assume doing a hack is a good thing lol.

i wouldnt recommand dij fpv or avata for fpv beginners the best way to start with fpv is is to buy a good radio and get 20 hours of practice in a sim
than you get a cinewhoop like geprcs cinebot 30 which is better performing than the avata and is almost indestructable
if you want to take a cheaper 2nd step you can get a rdy to fly kit with a tiny whoop like the tiny hawk 3 one (super fun indoors too)
dji is expensive and hard to repair but compared to a carbonfiber frame fpv drone not very durable also batteries are expensive af a normal lipo you can get for 30 bucks a dij one costs 120$ or more

You will need to do some serious time in a FPV sim before you even think about buying an FPV drone, I found it much easier starting on the DJI FPV tho!

Bought two of the fpv and all batteries were dead on arrival. The intelligent battery systems has killed all batteries unless you bought the drone within 3 months of manufacture

If I want to buy my first drone, should I get Avatar or their Mini or Pro series?

avata doesn't last 19 minutes, maybe if you stand still, if you move it lasts 10-14 max
