    I’m so fucking happy that they changed Borgo’s lighting, I have complete Red/Green color-blindness and I would literally DC if I saw Borgo, because the effort to explain why I DC’d and go to another game for the penalty was easier than trying to navigate around an entirely unreadable map.

      I wish they added brightness to the game so I don't have to strain my eyes while looking at darker maps and then the sun shines though my window even worse if they wanted maps to be dark they could have keep that offering that made the game as dark as possible

      Same with me, literally cannot track anyone on the map and have to rely on my ears which is a significant downgrade already haha
      Shame it took so long to get this problem sorted (and dbd's colourblind settings SUCK)

    Pain Res and Pop are not gonna leave the meta, in fact they on top of more regression is necessary now. BNP on ALL gens on top of being able to use BNP on top of Invocation, Gen speeds are still insanely fast, nerfing the regression does nothing but make it more of an uphill battle against the reason FOR needing to ALWAYS run Pain Res Pop.
    They don't address the issue or buff weaker perks no one ever uses, they just nerf the most used perks, on top of that now Sabo'ing is insanely easier to do especially with the new background player that will happen every pick up now.
    I'm honestly foreseeing the meta for killer to stay the same except now weaker M1 killers are face down in the water because their life support was just pulled out and made easier to completely destroy them in game even if they do down your teammate, their regression is weaker on top of sabo'ing changes. Where as the meta for survivor might change, the meta for killer will not change, just be made weaker, cause what else are you gonna run to avoid getting absolutely demolished and seeing like 2 gens go by and the game just started.

      Yep, I main Trapper, along with a couple others, and I get destroyed due to gen speed perks. I'd be super close to winning [at least three on death hook] but then the last gen pops and it usually goes downhill from there.
      I've stopped playing the game because of how absurdly stressed the game made me. Them doubling down on gen defence perks makes me not want to play the game since my favourite killers are so weak.

      yeah its... not the greatest change they could have made, they seriously have seen people get extremely hyped up for upcoming BUFFS specifically several times, but still havent understood that you dont discourage players from going perk 1, your job is to ENCOURAGE them to use perk 2, by buffing perk 2 instead

      There's no point in explaining it. We all agree with you and know this is the case. We've been telling BHVR for years and they'll hell set on not admitting that gens are a problem until the game is in another concurrents freefall.

      Idk- I agree, but as a survivor main, I still think that the changes to sabo boxes and stuff isn’t big enough in the fun department. We’ve had this meta before. Survivors are running out of fun ways to play, and I can’t speak for killers, but I still don’t see a lot of survivors running sabo builds? Not the good ones at least

      It is still dependent on the add-ons. They have simply made a part of the properties of the add-on basekit and then generated the add-ons themselves accordingly so that the same thing comes out in the end. We still have to use them to get the same effect as before. -.-

    Anyone who says this game is killer sided is officially lying to themselves now. These nerfs to the best killer perks, if they go live, will be the biggest killer nerf in a long time. Nerfing gen slowdown and regression while not similarly nerfing gen rushing is hilariously unfair. They even buffed gen rushing with the invocation buff. Even if I like the invocation being buffed, gen rushing needs an overall nerf badly.

      I agree, i use those perks to slow gens because is already too hard to keep up when getting gen rush. I always said it and i will say it again, BHVR are on the survivor side. No wonder why killers are leaving DBD.

      Killers have an average 65% win rate, some specific killers more and some less but over all around there. SoloQ wins are 3 in 10. Hate to say it but if you’re in the 35% losing and not the 65% winning, that’s more of a YOU issue. Game needs to be balanced so ppl win some lose some but if killers are basically winning 7 out of 10 matches, that’s not balanced now? Balanced would be something closer to 50/50. These killer perks have been overpowered for a long time and the necessary balancing is here!

      @@levisstories7733 you gotta be brain dead… a survivor escaping is not the number in discussion. I can escape all my matches if I go hide and play for hatch. The number in discussion is the whole picture, killer vs 4 survivors, the game goes to the killer if they get more kills and the game goes to the survivor day if they get 3-4 out. In this whole picture, killers win their games 65% of the time meaning almost 7 out of 10 matches the killer gets a 3K minimum and a survivor may find hatch.

      Next the killer is at an inherent disadvantage. They're against 4 people so they should have a high kill rate because they're not just killing one person a game. Also what defines as "Winning their games?"
      Escape rates very much IS what your talking about. If survivors escape a balanced amount of times then it's fair.
      Your trying to make up a statistic when killers don't have a set way to "win" other than get a full 4k and I assure you the stat for 4ks is not 65% of games.
      Unless you can show me your exact sources.
      Your a bully who goes around forcing your incorrect statements and ideals on other people Gaslighting killer mains into thinking their outrage isn't justified. It is.

    I think nerfing any gen defense at this time is just a bad decision. With the finite regression events and the buff to Weaving, this isn't a good outlook for killers.

      They want to incentivize killers to chase, but the problem is killers don't have any actually good chase perks. Gens go by way too fast for killers to focus on chases, which the devs would know if they actually played on live servers instead of private ones

      Legit! We killers find a way to do okay with the finite kicks, the devs nerf it. We find a way around the nerf to still make gen defense work, they nerf it. Killers decide to just give up and chase survivors like the devs clearly want, the only decent perk that gives haste requires survivors to finish gens. We legit cannot win no matter what. The devs hate us, survivors hate us and want us to die, so what's the point in playing this game? Honestly think all killers should just stop playing, because maybe then the devs will see how important killer input is

    The new buckle up is GREAT. It discourages using FTP literally right next to the killer for a free chase reset. Still good for saving teammates in general if the killer is somewhat far.

    Ok... i have serious feelings about this...
    Not what they are adjusting... but why they are adjusting.
    Every month or two... they keep manipulating gameplay to intentionally CREATE meta's... gone are the days of unique metas... now they keeping forcing styles of gameplay and then getting rid of the previous one they created and making a new one... the last 2 years they have been manipulating gameplay to create and monitor meta's... it's like they are farming statistics.
    Which makes me question... Why?

      the reason they shake up the meta instead of addressing bad/old perks is to keep replayability high with minimal effort, because people will use what they are familiar with instead of having to accustom to new stuff, like the same reason they only just started doingmore gamemodes now even though every 3 months people got a new gamemode in the form of a new killer anyway

    Honestly if they were gonna nerf pain res this way they should've made it infinite again. Now that it's 20%, stacked on top of only being useable 4 times a match, I think the perk might become dead at that rate
    20% is better than nothing though I suppose

      well pop and pain res are still the best for gen regression... sadly, because instead of making another perk, like surge or ruin or anything, better to encourage a new playstyle, they just keep nerfing the same one, not realizing all the other perks for that job are just... horrible, and well.. grim embrace and deadlock are still the strongest, just weaker.... like bhvr typically works....

      its not gonna kill any meta, killers are still gonna run these gen defense perks, albeit much weaker, and people are still gonna go for sabos and flashlight saves all the time, only real meta change is ftp buckle up, which are finally becoming perks that do what they are meant to

    I think slugging is about to go through the roof. I already pretty regularly deal with sabo/boil over/branch that separates hooks combos. That being said, the sabo buff and the invocation time reduction will create more counterplay elements to the game on both sides and could make it a little more fun, just can't wait for all the survivors to rage when I'm forced to slug them though. The only other thing is I hope they let killers kick the gens like they used to then if they're losing a lot of gen defense

    They just Nerf the ever living daylights out of Chucky. Scamper was good because it caught people off guard who wasn't paying attention especially to the people who were pre dropping pallets 🤷 Chucky was also able to do flicks but now he can't because that got taken off on the PTB. But people are fine with hillbilly being able to flick and insta down you? And people love going against bubba when he just has to get right up on your back and chainsaw you. Nothing against you jukes or anyone at all that's just how I see it. It's bogus that they always Nerf killers that I always have fun with. I didn't even get to do the flicking techniques because I'm on console 😭 I never even got a taste of it. Now I can't even vault the window at Shack to catch a survivor off guard? That is usually how I got the hit most of the time, I would go into hidey ho mode and pretend to chase them around the corner then go back and vault the window. Most of the time I would get a hit because survivors would think I was coming around the corner but now they're going to know that I HAVE to come around the corner. I'm not going to try and slice and dice into the shack and then just look stupid when I fly into a wall trying to 90° turn after I just vaulted. I'm not trying to sound like I'm a try hard killer cuz I'm not but when they take away fun gimmicks of killers that I actually willingly play for fun, IT'S NOT OKAY 😞

      because scamper was barely counterable, thats why they took it away, in any pallet loop he could just scamper as soon as you went around a the wall connecting to the pallet and you could do barely anything against it, its the same with the window, he could go undetectable and you wouldnt be able to know which way hes coming from, also flick tech was absolutely bs for chucky, you go and spin the killer only for him to just turn around in a dash, how would it feel if oni just turnt around like that? would that be fair? also yes they are different, onis is a one down, but its the same as if blight just casually turned around mid rush, its absolutely broken with barely any counterplay, since you cant outrun it bc its a gap closer, but with flick tech you cant even evade them at all except if ur on the other side of a wall, which even then is risky bc of flick tech

    This makes no sense lol. Buff sabo plays, encouraging slugging tactics, then nerf anti-slugging perks lol. Also nerfing gen defense is just rough at best. It already feels like you can't really commit to chasing people so this just seems way off :/ idk

So people would run it with for the people to combat tunneling and slugging. But can't do that now. Literally encouraging people to be selfish in a team game by nerfing every team perk.

    the big thing with the changes to background player is that with the 20s exhaustion, you can run a personal exhaustion perk with it at the same time and not have to worry about the cooldown too much.

    Very disappointed about the changes being made on buckle up and in my opinion they're completely unnecessary and here are my reasons why.
    1. As a solo survivor main I can tell you that buckle and for the people is one combo that is rarely if ever seen being used in solo queue.
    2. It is an extremely risky combo to use that puts the survivor using it right in the line of fire of the killer who only has to wait a few seconds to re-secure the down and more often than not the survivor using the combo becomes the target of tunneling.
    3. It's more of a gag combo if anything because of the risks and there are killers who make the combo completely useless (Plague and Legion in particular).
    4. It's not as helpful as killers think it is as it requires the survivor using the combo to be away from gens the majority of the match to get any value from those perks.
    5. Only swfs who are on comms are able to make the most out of the combo and even then let's be real there are far more annoying and more common perk combos that swfs use.
    6. Swfs will be able to get around the buckle up nerf by bringing soul guard so at the end of the day it is only making it so that solo survivors no longer have a fun combo to use.
    I have no doubt in my mind that this change will make two perks that are already rarely seen never be played as for the people is only useful when paired with buckle up otherwise it's pretty much a death sentence to bring for the people. And yes I do play killer also, not as much as I play survivor but still, buckle up and FtP is a combo I only see once in a blue moon when playing survivor or killer.     I have another idea for Invocation. I think instead of it making you broken for the rest of the trial, it should give you a hook state instead without being hooked. So, you would be unable to use it if you are on death hook. If that's too broken, you could add a hook state and a broken state for 60 seconds so at least you won't be injured for the rest of the match. Maybe that would make the perk broken I'm not sure, but I think the main thing that makes me steer clear from this perk is the fact I can't heal for the rest of the match.

      i mean people arent gonna use it if they are on death hook anyway, they wanna get the bonus as fast as possible, but ofc you dont want to be broken for the entire match and reveal where you are, if something they should make it so you only notice that the invocation was done as killer is if you kick a gen, but... that was my idea for the perk BEFORE they changed it to 60 seconds (shorter than a full gen), so now you just get it at 5 gens and it doesnt really matter if you become broken because you just spent 1 minute to make the game go by extremely fast, because bhvr also nerfs gen defense. weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    Happy about the changes to invocation. Cool idea for a perk but was so hard to get value out of it. I think some new invocations will be coming soon and killer checking basement will be more likely.

    The problem with having a second DS is that a killer knows you have DS. They might slug you for the 60 secs and fair enough. Dude if I'm a killer and a death hook person has DS and I know that person has DS and I have not hooked anyone else while I have 1 or 2 gens remaining. I will just slug that person so that someone will go to revive her so that slow downs the gens. Look I'm not saying having another DS after it's used is bad. I agree it should be but I'm just saying pros and cons of it.

    Pain Res: had a high pick rate and stopped survivors from doing their objective, deserved nerf.
    Decisive Strike: had a high pick rate, with at least 2 per game with OTR on top and stopped killers from acomplishing their objective and securing early kills... undeserved nerf buff it so it's usable every hook.

    I'd really like it if they put a few adjustments into the rift challenges. I've currently finished all of the survivor challenges in the compendium because I tend to play the game with my friends. I've been working my way through the killer challenges, but it is taking forever because 1) changes to the game that have happened since the first rift came out and 2) if I have limited time to play, I'm going to prioritize playing with my friends.
    I have a suggestion. Make it so that Killers and Survivors can duplicate challenges to and replace a challenge from a path they don't typically play. That way, Killer Mains can yeet survivor challenges out of the way by swapping them with killer challenges and Survivor Mains can yeet survivor challenges out of the way by swapping them with a killer challenge.
    You can limit the swaps to the page of the tome you are on (so no hunting for a different challenge from a different rift) and you can make sure that you are trading challenges of the same value.

    When I play as Sable, I use Weaving Spiders, and when I play Killer and see the circle in the basement, I usually let them complete it since it is a high risk perk. So, I'm glad that it's getting worked on. I'm also glad that my boy Deathslinger got buffed. He is one of my favorite Killers.

    Background with vigil could be a nightmare. If they die under pallet, you cannot pick up easily after their first use of it anymore. 14 second recovery time may be like a single loop before it comes back up. Didnt kick the previous pallet and their teammate reset it? Rip. Even picking them up against a sabo squad will be rough. I bet they are making perks that deal with this (which is why they are buffing them)

    I am loving these changes tbh. Behavior ate. The only ones im iffy on are DS and buckle up. Mostly because DS just got reworked and its just a numbers tweak, feel like they could have done someting more like spook said. I also dont rhink buckle up was too bad but i know others struggled with it so its understandable.

    As a Killer Main, I totally agree. DS Needs to be five seconds. DS Needs to be multi use. I'm sick of every match I DO play survivor having someone downed three hooks back to back and then it's unplayable. Meanwhile, on the killer side, I rarely have to tunnel to get a 3k. I rarely have to tunnel to get a 4k. I've tried tunneling someone out at 5 Gens; Boring as hell. I'm going to go even further, here's my Lava Take; Shouldn't even be a perk, it should be base kit, multi use.

    Chucky main, not to happy about this... already took a massive blow with them nerfing STBFL as that was a main part of my kit, but now scamper is getting nerfed, this is going to hurt on pallet heavy maps forcing me to run more gen defence due to me being forced to break more pallets.. smh

    I do think a simpler fix for FTP-BU would have just been to take the endurance off of the person picking someone up. That way it’s purely altruistic and punished someone for running FTP-BU without punishing the person picked up by it, but shifts it to the person using it. It should be more of an altruistic anti tunnel perk, and I think it’s gonna fall right back into being unused with this change.

      If you have ever played an rpg where you made decisions and played the character the way you wanted to play them, then you've essentially played dnd. Skyrim, elden ring, baldurs gate 3, any of these rpgs where you can choose what you want to do and how to do them are in a similar vein to dnd.

    As someone who plays both killer and survivor, I feel the killer changes are cool.
    I agree we'll see more sabo squads. If you run sabo squad builds and swarm my hooks, dont be surprised if killers still slug you to counter it. It's practically the one counter so dont get pissed at that. You came in with the intention to make yourself unhookable so youre still getting what you want.
    Besides, a lot of killers will know how to counter it anyway.
    Now from a survivor perspective, its good and i cant wait to check it out when it hits live servers

      If they came in to sabo, they will have a backup plan to slugging. Went against one the other day and started slugging, they all had unbreakable but only one would use it while the others 99 and they were smart enough to take turns.

    I'm confident that bhvr forgot that ds was a one time use and thought it was a 2 time use like otr cause idk why they keep nerfing it so hard. Otr lasts longer, you get it one extra time, it removes grunts of pain, and hides your aura, but a one time 5 second stun is too much apparently

    I agree with you on the DS idea, it's meant to be an anti-tunnel perk, but you only get it once and it's mediocre now. If they're gonna do this 4 second change, then it should be available on both hook stages not just one. I don't think it would hurt the game too much, and it would stop killers from tunneling. Although it would just mean that more killers would slug, but that at least saves them from dying if their revives them.
    People called me crazy for this suggestion but I agree with you.

    This is so much better for Bubba. The hit boxes for his chainsaw were terrible and he’d go into tantrum mode even if he didn’t hit a barrier. He was also super reliant on add-ons for more chainsaw sweeps, so it’s good he has better speed and more movement when swinging his chainsaw

      because the game is balanced around noobs. noobs can't do gens properly and when pop ans pain res go off, they have to do it again...
      nerfing gen regression speed, while buffing background player and sabo's... bhvr just gave swfs, actually good swfs, a meal ticket.

      Because it's the only perks killers run. All other perks are basically useless and have been for a long time. Also weaker killers which is most of them and al m1 killers have to run gen regress to even stand a chance of drawing. .

    For me, the best decision to balabce the game,
    1. To upgradd basekit( add deadlock and corrupt)
    2. Add penalty if you do gen solo, if you do gen with your hommie no penalty
    3. Nerf meta surv's perk as "window of opportunity", " Off the record" "Resilence( i realy dont undestsnd why this perk allow you to fix gens faster) "
    3. Rebalance the maps, its not playeble when you have 6 pallets near the shack on some maps and all are they safe

    -They removed buckle up from existence.
    -Nerfed basically every gen stop perk
    -Buffed an already strong killer (when used properly)
    -Buffed a mediocre yet still strong perk when it works into possibly the strongest perk for gen speed…
    -Made Sabo even stronger then it was…

    As a survivor main I'm very annoyed that this gane isn't killer sided. This game should feel oppressive to play as survivor, i want that sense of urgency and always feeling pressure by the opponent.
    That's why i miss og ruin because that perk put you in GEAR vs ruin now iust being a meh ill commit to the gen.

    so, they see killers are using a ton of gen regression, and decide 'huh, maybe gen regression is too strong'. Not seeing why the killers are running lots of gen regression. I mean ffs just earlier today, I had a particularly bad match on rpd. What happened? Survivors managed to rotate and rush gens. I saw the first two pop about average speed, then suddenly three more pop one after the other. I already saw all the players, saw no signs of hacking. I couldn't get pain res or pop to go off fast enough to stop them.
    Then on top of that on TOP...they're making sabotaging hooks far easier and more incentivized. You know hooking survivors right, the thing you need to do before Pop or pain res can even go off? Yeah, how tf are we supposed to get that off if they're sabotaging every hook?
    Does anyone else see the problem here?

      Killers have an average 65% win rate, some specific killers more and some less but over all around there. SoloQ wins are 3 in 10. Hate to say it but if you’re in the 35% losing and not the 65% winning, that’s more of a YOU issue. Game needs to be balanced so ppl win some lose some but if killers are basically winning 7 out of 10 matches, that’s not balanced now? Balanced would be something closer to 50/50.

If first hook deaths, disconnects, and no chase kills were removed from the stats the rates would likely be a good deal lower. Let's be honest, BHVR devs don't listen to anything or actually think about anything outside of how it feels to them in private test servers and a handful of numbers dropped in front of them, that's why it took a dev getting humiliated publicly in a public match to get insta-blinds fixed.

      That’s already what’s done no? Went against a sabo squad the other day and they all had unbreakable. I started slugging but could never get all 4 at the same time. They were smart enough to only have one use their unbreakable while the others 99 and the one would finish them up. It was insane til all 4 unbreakables were done and even then they still played where they’d make sure one was alive to do the pick up 💀

    Survs and Killers alike are getting some yummy changes. The Background player changes probably won't let you use it "twice as often" since I'm sure most times the exhaustion timer is up between uses. However, it will allow for other exhaustion perks to be used more effectively after a botched save.

    Love how they made gen defense basically pointless with the limit, and are now making it even harder. God the devs really just hate killers who don't want to be sweaty. I now have to actively chase and hunt down survivors and be brutal when before I could've just gone at my own pace and still be able to do my goal. I don't want to be sweaty, I just want to have fun. But the devs are making it impossible to have that

    If they had decisive strike after every unhook I would just slug them. I don't think for the survivors sake that's a good idea and as a killer main I'd have to catch them twice and that takes so long, I feel that would be unbalanced in the survivors favour.
