Honestly, it sucks that people like this report people constantly. It just makes it harder on BHVR to verify REAL reports of people cheating, truly harassing others, and things in that nature. BHVR genuinely needs to just give these people report bans and not let them report anymore, or better yet give them a week ban for "false reporting". Force these creatures to go outside or go play a different game.

@@ambse6413 Yeah for sure, but it's because of people that do that stuff and abuse in-game reports that we HAVE to go to BHVR's website specifically and open tickets for things if we actually want things done. I've had great experiences with BHVRs customer service team when opening tickets to report people telling me to hang myself or things of that nature and they're generally pretty quick to respond too.
From what I know. In-game reporting does nothing at all. In order to actually report someone, you need to go to BHVR's support site, and create a ticket with evidence of the cheats, harassment, etc.

Making the ticket on their site allows them to find that piece of paper using your ID and allows them to see the details of that match. I used to be like this guy, whenever anything bad happened in my game I would go on a verbal tirade saying way WAY worse than almost anyone you've heard before. But it eventually caught up with me and I had some very real world consequences because of it that deeply affected my life. I’m very glad you not only reflected on your behavior, but had the maturity to realize you were wrong and make the effort to change. That’s rarer than you might think. Never stop doing it! You’ll never be 100% right at any point in your life, but that’s part of it! We learn and we grow, and accept the consequences of the action we take that hurt others.
oh my god, that last conversation (with the person he thought was a man) was my two friends! we were in a 3-man against him and I felt bad he got no kills and seemed to have a hard time so I let him kill me at the end and he didn't quite seem to understand what I was doing, so he hit me on hook and complained. but those two people are my friends and that whole game was wild LOL
I’m a competitive person, and this game tilted me more than any game I’ve played. I honestly hate being that person, so I walked away and haven’t played in about a year. Enjoy watching content, but I recognize this game brings out the worst in me.
Im a very competitive person myself but this game really shouldnt be taken that seriously lol, we dont even have ranks. That being said killer especially can be a very frustrating experience.
Honestly, same. I ended up stepping away for a year and a half, and just recently got back into it. I don't get tilted that much anymore and enjoy the game more now
no point in actually being competitive on dbd, swap to identity v instead, substantially more competent take on dbd's flawed 4v1 format + more skillful game in general

And he wasn't even crouched ... he was standing up! "No clue to my whereabouts" He was literally standing up where there is at least 180 degree open space around him at all times. Like that was the least stealthy think I have seen in a survivor. He was locked in on where the hook happened. There were 4 paths the Huntress could have taken from that hook and only ONE he would have had a good look at.

Or the report FAQ that specifically says camping and tunneling are not reportable offenses, and outlines exactly what "holding the game hostage" actually means. Ive played TF2. I've played COD, Ive played Battlebit. Ive NEVER SEEN a community as toxic as DBDs. Genuinely. Ive been called every name in the book, have had my ass handed to me by cheaters, sweats, and the like. But holy shit the drama that comes from DBD is just...laughable. Back when I played DBD I use to accuse nearly every ghostface of walling. Then one day I decided to buy him and try him out. Found out real quick that no, they ain't walling. The amount of times I was jumpscared by survivors walking right in front of me when I turned a corner was insane.

They can't. They're miserable and use dbd as their "escape" but don't realize its just feeding into it. I know because I deal with alot of pain sometimes and on bad days I get really easily salty or whiny or you know sometimes im just in a bad mood. You dont really think about just "turning it off" because you know... You want to play. Youre either addicted because its your outlet or youre feeling bad so your coping mechanism aka the game is the only thing you really know to turn to. Its something you conciously have to become aware of and stop yourself.
There can be reasons. Sunk cost fallacy. "I spent so long playing and spent so much money on this game, I have to keep playing it to make it worth it." And there is of course to hate farm. As weird as it sounds, there is a market on hate farming on the internet. You'll see in with certain things, like Star Wars or the current MCU, there are people who will watch/consume the content just to hate on it for clicks/interactions. It applies to games too, people play games they hate solely because hate clicks generate money.
It’s perfectly fine to have some issues with a platform’s rules or their execution of them, but people seriously need to learn what freedom of speech actually entails. Like… if I have people over at my house and one of them starts saying a bunch of stuff I or the other guests are uncomfortable being around I can kick that person out. It can be unreasonable and they can be annoyed and mad but I get to choose who and what is welcome in my space. They can still say and think those things, just not bring it into my house.

I recently began playing killer. I don’t try and tunnel but I’m going after the first person I see. Which is usually the person who was just taken off of the hook. And only time I tunnel is when other survivors are sabotaging others. And I will go after them the whole match.

I'm starting to think they don't understand tunneling.. i will tunnel if they unhook and body block. I will camp with area denial killers and I will slug if they body block hooks.
While I dont think camping/tunneling is good, its still a killer strategy and if they feel they need to use it then so be it. I dont usually tunnel or camp, but when i feel like It could turn the tide of the match, then I'll do it if im trying to win. As a killer main who started playing a bunch of survivor recently, I emplore survivors to play killer to understand how we think. I also suggest playing how you wish killers would play against you. It happened to me twice in total. Once, I played with such a person (who was a friend of a friend), and once, it was with a friend of a streamer while I was just watching. The person I played with would always get upset, either about the hitbox or my gameplay, and would often shout at me, which made me raise my voice too because I didn't want to tolerate it. However, I stayed because a friend I actually wanted to play with her because she hasn’t always time . Nevertheless, after 4 to 5 hours of Dead by Daylight, I couldn't bear it anymore, and she and I went offline because it was no longer enjoyable. The streamer remained calm while streaming , although she also got upset, but let's say it was still within a reasonable range. However, the streamer's friend resorted to insults and became very personal. Later then I played with them and this person ran injured to the hooked survivor and cried about that the killer downed her and he rage quitted the whole game

Yeah i remember this expeller or CO2. I played against him as Pinhead and pretty much darted towards him even if i was in chase with another survivor. I brought in NOED so i can take him hostage and favored him by leaving him to die on the ground while all 3 other survivors just T bag the dude trying to get to the gate....he wasn't liked and he didn't like me at the end.

Yep, it's always better to change for the better rather than make excuses to stay the same. Judging by some of the comments and Spook's most recent video, this streamer has unfortunately decided to further project his misery on everyone else. Kind of sad, really. And he wasn't even crouched ... he was standing up! "No clue to my whereabouts" He was literally standing up where there is at least 180 degree open space around him at all times. Like that was the least stealthy think I have seen in a survivor. He was locked in on where the hook happened. There were 4 paths the Huntress could have taken from that hook and only ONE he would have had a good look at.
I love how he reports for unsportsmanlike conduct and in the description of the report it says "rage quitting" its just ironic
And seeing him on RUclips from other creators expose him like this makes me feel like i failed the guy in a way. He watchs these videos too and he doesn't even admit his faults when there shown right in front of him. Keep up the work spooks

I desperately want someone to show him the recent post Peanits made in regards to the upcoming DS changes where they said "We do not want to remove the tunneling playstyle". Or the report FAQ that specifically says camping and tunneling are not reportable offenses, and outlines exactly what "holding the game hostage" actually means. Because he seems confused as to what an exploit is.

Back when I played DBD I use to accuse nearly every ghostface of walling. Then one day I decided to buy him and try him out.
Found out real quick that no, they ain't walling. The amount of times I was jumpscared by survivors walking right in front of me when I turned a corner was insane.

They can't. They're miserable and use dbd as their "escape" but don't realize its just feeding into it. I know because I deal with alot of pain sometimes and on bad days I get really easily salty or whiny or you know sometimes im just in a bad mood. You dont really think about just "turning it off" because you know... You want to play. Youre either addicted because its your outlet or youre feeling bad so your coping mechanism aka the game is the only thing you really know to turn to. Its something you conciously have to become aware of and stop yourself.

There can be reasons. Sunk cost fallacy. "I spent so long playing and spent so much money on this game, I have to keep playing it to make it worth it." And there is of course to hate farm. As weird as it sounds, there is a market on hate farming on the internet. You'll see in with certain things, like Star Wars or the current MCU, there are people who will watch/consume the content just to hate on it for clicks/interactions. It applies to games too, people play games they hate solely because hate clicks generate money.
It’s perfectly fine to have some issues with a platform’s rules or their execution of them, but people seriously need to learn what freedom of speech actually entails. Like… if I have people over at my house and one of them starts saying a bunch of stuff I or the other guests are uncomfortable being around I can kick that person out. It can be unreasonable and they can be annoyed and mad but I get to choose who and what is welcome in my space. They can still say and think those things, just not bring it into my house.

I recently began playing killer. I don’t try and tunnel but I’m going after the first person I see. Which is usually the person who was just taken off of the hook. And only time I tunnel is when other survivors are sabotaging others. And I will go after them the whole match.
How do we know when a killer is tunneling? they're playing the game.

As a killer main who started playing a bunch of survivor recently, I emplore survivors to play killer to understand how we think. I also suggest playing how you wish killers would play against you.

It happened to me twice in total. Once, I played with such a person (who was a friend of a friend), and once, it was with a friend of a streamer while I was just watching.
The person I played with would always get upset, either about the hitbox or my gameplay, and would often shout at me, which made me raise my voice too because I didn't want to tolerate it. However, I stayed because a friend I actually wanted to play with her because she hasn’t always time . Nevertheless, after 4 to 5 hours of Dead by Daylight, I couldn't bear it anymore, and she and I went offline because it was no longer enjoyable.
The streamer remained calm while streaming , although she also got upset, but let's say it was still within a reasonable range. However, the streamer's friend resorted to insults and became very personal. Later then I played with them and this person ran injured to the hooked survivor and cried about that the killer downed her and he rage quitted the whole game
It’s so sad that people take dbd so serious I know sometimes it can be frustrating but it’s still a video game and people should laugh about it. I am laughing the whole time about the game if the hitbox is trash or the killer is camping slugging proxycamp or whatever… dear main survivors please play killer and then you will know how frustrating it is to play against a swf

Yeah i remember this expeller or CO2. I played against him as Pinhead and pretty much darted towards him even if i was in chase with another survivor. I brought in NOED so i can take him hostage and favored him by leaving him to die on the ground while all 3 other survivors just T bag the dude trying to get to the gate....he wasn't liked and he didn't like me at the end.
Used to be in his community but I was trying to get him too see reason and not take the game seriously. even made a video about him after he got banned as me kinda giving him advice on what he should do now. Being banned and all, I do think he has a nice side, he has reacted to my videos on stream and he even gave me a little shout out and was pretty nice to me. He actually liked my videos too. Ofc after I made my video he was less than pleased with me. I cut ties with him shortly after. Sad that he hasn't taken my advice and he got worse. I tried to help him though but I can't say I didn't try.
