Was on this bird today from Chicago O Hare to Rapid City South Dakota. Lot of engine falts and PTU was going crazy. Flight was delayed and during taxi today the IAE V2500 Engines were struggling to Start Up. Was concerned about an engine failure while in mid air.
Not sure if this is what you experienced, but sometimes aircraft will taxi on one engine and start the other up closer to takeoff. If they do that, the PTU will be barking like crazy from my experience on the A32X series.
@@rogerwalnut Plus it was barking during takeoff and landing too. In Comparison with the CFM56 Powered A319s noticed during taxi today one if the IAE Engines tried to start but was shutting down and tried to start again but closer to takeoff both engines were started and proceeded to Rapid City Safely. The passengers thought something was wrong with the aircraft.
@@drummerboy2215 I've definitely been on A32X flights where the PTU is audible during takeoff and landing. One other thing to mention is if the APU was inoperable for some reason, the PTU would be operating more than normal. Glad everything proceeded as normal. In any case, thanks for watching and for your comments!
Great views, United A319 out of Memphis

@@rogerwalnut Maybe might of been an Hung Start when taxing could of been an issue with a starter on the aircraft
