Just wanted to point something out for you that you might not be aware of. I am a former flight attendant of 12 years for AA. The ash tray is not what you think. They are there in the event someone is caught smoking, there has to be a safe place to dispose of it. They still have these on even modern planes for that very reason.

I bring that up because smoking is not allowed on aircraft anymore! thank you for the information though. I was unaware that today’s aircraft are equipped with ashtrays in the cabin.
