You could do your own website and there have a customizer. The customers could first choose a casio and then swap the hour markers and straps as they like, that way you can provide every taste

Hello! Watch dealers often set the time on 10:10. It makes the watch "smile" (like the Amazon logo...) it's a marketing strategy that makes the customer want to buy it more easily. A little tip from France! 😉

@@TROY2048 watches are definitely jewelry. I just dont like wearing any form of jewelry. Dont like the jingling, clacking or getting tangled up with stuff. Hell i dont like wired earphones or even lanyards for the same reason.

A watch is indeed jewellery, but a g-shock is an accessory or a tool

very detailed and well explained. As someone who works with watches, when you remove the backing of a watch it affects the water resistancy, so please make sure to disclose that it is no longer resistant/not water pressure tested. In most cases its usually fine anyway but its good to disclose
One thing that would be extremely helpful would be to offer baby g shocks that have plain or custom bezels that don't say "baby g" on them. Lots of people like the smaller profile of them but don't want the words baby g on the front. I see people on message boards requesting such a version buy have yet to come across a single person doing it. You'd probably be the first.

@@corail53 At his prices, you are correct. However, I have a friend who does this and charges between $500-$600 per watch, so he is making $350-$450 per watch profit.
So brilliant that thousands have been doing this for decades now.

Yeah there is a pretty good market for custom watches especially something from Casio they are cool watches and cheap so you can look good without worrying. Now it personal I prefer modding my own watch but it is a good business. I really do recommend finger cots instead of fabric gloves you do not want to get any fuzzy pieces inside the watch. They are really cheap and can increase your quality.
You should make more combinations with the components and offer more options with the same inventory
The full red face was my favorite how ever I would want it all blue! Black band maybe with an all blue face. I think that you should make more of these videos!!! Make a part 2 pleaseeeee loved watching this shit. Makes me wanna buy one dead ass
Bro, banger video. I can see this being also a seasonal watch thing, like right now for autumn get some earth tones with the grey and green faces, Winter make this happen with the white and light blue faces, and so on. Crazy good idea. I will try this out. Subbed instantly.
It seems that the profits you claim don't seem feasible. Correct me if I'm wrong but after taking eBay Fees, Shipping Cost, plus tax taken from each sale & purchase, you would profit almost half of what you claim. For example, the steel and tiffany blue - Selling price was $190 minus eBay fees of nearly 13% = Sold for $163.40 minus shipping cost ~ $10+ = $153.40. Minus Cost of goods $153.40 - $88 (Cost of Watch) = $65.40 - $30 (cost of band etc.) = $35 profit before taxes are taken into consideration on items purchased and sold. AT MOST, it seems you made a $30 profit but you say its $50.
And band+case is 55 to 60$, not 30$
Not to mention his 'Profit' doesn't include labor. This is well over 20 hrs of time invested to research and purchase components, actually perform the mods, take photos, create listings, and drive to FedEx and back to ship each watch. He literally made minimum wage or less except he risked $700 of capital up front to do so. Terrible business model
Even if that were the case, solid profit for not having to leave home. Replenish-able as well.
Your favorite is my favorite. Black, silver, and baby blue is my favorite color combo so I’m really tempted to replicate that one.
Should also consider modding 5600 gshocks with Titanium cases .I made a sick camo titanium with bluetooth for a little bit more than my casioak mod.
Im trying 1 watch right now, you should definantly try it again with more watches, this business is pretty easily scalable you just need to be very efficient with building the watches.
@Mist Juul You can't mod these things that much - you either get injected molded inner bands or molded outer cases with bands. The supplier for all of this is the same one everyone in this niche uses so it is not a scalable business at all and no point writing software for mods you can't control.

i customized my g-shock back during COVID using the stainless steel bracelet and case. it looks so clean and people always ask me what the watch is. I gotta say some of these mods are clean AF.

I used to work for fossil and we had tons of customers come in with G-Shocks, great watch brand super durable and reliable
This is the fun part of having G shocks. You can have fun with them and not worry about breaking apart something compared to the likes of rolex/Ap/PP/vacheron. I have a cool collection of g shocks thats worth 1 or 2 rolex but i just dont see the fun in having overpriced watch but then if i have tons of money ill probably collect the high ends one and keep some g shock for adventure and fun.

The one gshock that doesn't need customization is the factory all red casioak. That one is fire all on its own.
For G-Shock the 2nd and 6th one are gorgeous

everytime this guy jumps on a new fad, its always a top signal or sign that its going to die off. hes literally a jinx when it comes to hustling
That is how youtube works - he makes money off of his videos while everyone hop's in on dead or over saturated markets. It is like this with every youtuber - car flipping channels regularly spike the prices of certain cars making them no viable, hustle folks doing the tried and tired affiliate, drop shipping crap - well those haven't worked since the mid 2010's and yet these folks still try to shill that nonsense in videos. People who want to succeed in business need to stop following this crap and come up with their own systems and twists.
You could do this with nearly anything. At least hes adding value to the watches he buys and customizes. nice work as usual.

I’ve been blinging mine out with swarovski crystals for years, also, get yourself a 3d printer, and research mold making
Don't limit to Gshock. Orient and Seiko also. If you made stuff for the Casio Duro you would make a killing. It's a $50 watch but people would gladly pay for different dials or bezel inserts.

Are the straps themselves interchangeable? Like say I wanted to change out the rubber with the metal without removing the dial itself.
Seiko mods have better margins. Doing it myself and made 1000$+ in a month profit

No. It has a gasket. You still have to open them to change the batteries when they die. If the watch is brand new like in this video the gasket should be fine. If you open an old watch where the gasket was exposed to high and low temperatures, salty water, water, etc then you should change the gasket too.

Only time I've ever destroyed a G-shock was working with acetone in a metal shop...

Ill have to keep that in mind I work in a body shop and im around acetone all the time
