I am on spouse dependent open work permit and its valid till july can I apply right now a TRV so that I can legally stay at Canada because after my wife study completion it will take a time to get the post graduate work permit and then noc b job and then mine open work permit

I do not have LMIA but I have PGWP. Should I select LMIA yes for TRV?
Can the PGWP extension (due to prior passport expiration) be applied outside Canada? I am confused because the application form generated for the mail application (IMM 5710) lists the current place of residence as 'Canada' which can not be changed. I can not reach out to IRCC as well since the number can be reached only within Canada and the email response was generic. Specifically, Should I be submitting the IMM 1295 (applying work permit outside Canada) or IMM 5710 (applying for work permit in Canada applicants) form when applying for a post-graduate work permit extension (due to prior passport expiry) while residing outside of Canada?
There are ways you can call Ircc from outside Canada. I have made a video about that

They do ask family information from applicants even though those members are not accompanying
First of all...if it is not too urgent don't come to India without TRV because the processing time is too long compared to Canada, so as soon as you extend your visa just apply for TRV..And this video helped me thank you Rahul.. there is just you who made the video in this topic.. and I got the ppr today
My timeline is applied on 8th December,2023 and got my ppr on 6th February,2023
Hey Purnima, I have the same situation. I applied TRV on 21 Nov 2023 and came to India in Dec and i am still waiting for my PPR. IRCC Canada told me that my application is getting processed at Delhi Embassy. There is no reply to any webforms and emails from them. Did you face the same issues?

I got PPR request within a week(unbelievable) applied on 19.01.2024, got passport submission letter on 25.01.2024 .
I flied to India with an expired student visa and then I applied for this TRV based on workpermit

That was done indirectly when I selected having a work permit and needing a trv to return Canada. That is why in the checklist there was no slot to upload the job offer
Hi Rahul is biometrics open for pgwp visq trv applicants as I try to book appointment in web form it says application is invalid. I am quite streseed. I have valid pgwp and applying for trv to return back

Ok, I checked with someone who got it recently. 1. RETURNING WORKER 2. WORK PERMIT DURATION 3. HER EMPLOYER ADDRESS . She was successful

Bro, Im in india and my TRV expired and my PGWP as well due to PP expiry. However, IM eligible for 3years PGWP n I received only for 10 months due to PP expiry. So what option shall I choose? Im currently full time job holder.

Hi Rahul,, Thank you for this very helpful video as i am currently facing this problem, and It was not easy for me to reach to the option of foreign worker (visitor visa) until i saw your video..But my question is if it is surely that answering yes to the two questions (job offer from employer who has LIMA number for more than one year) and correcting that later with choosing open work permit will not be considered as false answers/information that may lead to complicate the application even if the job offer will not be one of the required documents.. are these questionnaire questions are taken into consideration in the TRV application processing... Again thank you for this helpful information..
Good question. Read this link under come to Canada wizard. Proceed only when you are sure of it as I cannot guarantee anything but I know people have got it approved after following this. Rest is your call

Hi sir you never changed the lmia thing when we r changing that the pgwps option comes the visitor visa doesn't come
I Selected trv later that says we have a work permit. It never asked to show lmia in the checklist
@HelpingAll sir it shows do you have an lmia and I selected yes in order to expose the correct options as you said but later you never changed it to yes .when I change it to yes then the option comes for pgwp not for foreign worker that's my question
I have used that option to get the trv link out. Then in the forms and checklist, there is nothing like LMIA. The answers to the questions of the wizard are not considered to make a decision. You can google it. Rest it up to you. Many have got trv on pgwp after following this process

Hi , replying your comment , just in case it helps . So there is no issue if you’re leaving canada and the stamp is expired but for returning back its must that your visa stamp should be valid and you can apply it from outside of canada too .

I couldn't locate any point in the video where the LMIA was changed to "no." It would be helpful if you could specify the timestamp for such a change. Does it matter to change it to "no"?
This is what you need to understand. First it was said yes to LMIA. THEN WE SAID WE HAVE A WORK PERMIT AND NEED VISA. THAT IS HOW THE CHECKLIST FOR SECOND SCENARIO WAS POPULATED

Later on you didnt correct buddy. At 6:03 the job offer still says yes.
When I selected the open work permit later the correction was auto made , see the checklist the job offer was not even asked. People have got trv using this method already
