Hey Man , I have a question , so I have a valid study permit and a TRV of Canada & I came to India in February to visit family with my return ticket booked for March but due to COVID and lockdown , I am still stuck in India but my TRV and study permit expires on 31st July , 2020 and I won't be able to return before that. SO HOW CAN I APPLY FOR AN EXTENSION OF MY STUDY PERMIT AND TRV from outside Canada ? or do I need to reapply the entire visa as a new application and a new Study permit ? Please advice. Next, it asking how many years : less than 1 yr , more than 1 yr and permanent .
These 2 options are different compare yours .
When I am paying fees it showing biometrics fees family fee 170. I add only my biometrics / single.

I responded to your other comment. If they say you don’t qualify for that processing then you need to apply under normal processing . None can tell you about processing time anyway

Did you pay the fee for both ? It seems yes because those who apply for work permit outside Canada and need a trv they pay the fee together for both . So confirm it on your payment page
@@HelpingAll they haven’t charged any but on canada.ca it says “If you need a TRV or an eTA, you do not have to fill out a separate application or pay more fees. It will be issued by the officer at the same time as the documents you need for your entry to Canada as a worker” (pasted from the site) ... i just wanted to be sure

As VFS offices are closed, I can't get my passport stamped and neither am i receiving 2-way courier email which they have recently started. Hi rahul, i got an dependent open work permit, my spouse company is requesting us to wait till paper applications open to submit for trv, but i have a job in canada which i had to leave due to covid and come back to India, now my work place is open i need to apply for trv as it expired. Can i do it myself online as it opem work permit,my spouse has closed work permit.
If you have a valid work permit you can apply online for a TRV. Once granted , since you have a job offer you could be allowed to travel.

Can the PGWP extension (due to prior passport expiration) be applied outside Canada? I am confused because the application form generated for the application (IMM 5710) lists the current place of residence as 'Canada' which can not be changed. I can not reach out to IRCC as well since the number can be reached only within Canada and the email response was generic. Specifically, Should I be submitting the IMM 1295 (applying work permit outside Canada) or IMM 5710 (applying for work permit in Canada applicants) form when applying for a post-graduate work permit extension (due to prior passport expiry) while residing outside of Canada?
You can reach IRCC. Do one thing, call a friend in Canada and tell him to conference IRCC. You would be able to call then. I have used this method before and was successful

I came back to India without a TRV, and have now renewed my passport. I wanted to extend my PGWP before applying for my TRV. Hi Rahul, apart from the IMM 5257 form, what else forms should we be uploading for applying for TRV from India ? I saw on the CIC website that they need IMM 5707 (family information) and IMM 5484 (document checklist) forms. Is it necessary? If so, where should I upload them ?

Based on result of people who have applied for pgwp, I came to conclusion that pgwp is not taking more than 20 days for anyone who’s biometric is already in system. Anyways,
My main question was : if I apply for pgwp before leaving for India and assuming that I have received it, will I be allowed to enter back with PGWP and existing visa stamped on my passport (that’s valid till March 31), or along with PGWP I need to get a fresh visa ?
And yes, I have a full time job offer relevant to my noc and I would be joining it before leaving.
If you have a job offer you are allowed to come to Canada. You need to have a valid visa and permit as per the current rules

I can understand this issue . Many have it. I know someone from India who got trv and then went to Dubai to get it stamped. She is in Canada now. As per the recent tweet from Canadian Embassy in India, they are planning for a passport submission service but I don’t have any details about it. They are processing online applications as many have got ppr and biometrics letter but most of them are stuck due to this

You first of all need to apply for trv. Once granted check the travel restrictions if you are able to enter or not. Vac stands for visa application centers

You have already said you are in UK and if you apply from there then that is the answer. It also asks for your status in the country

Ok in that case you can try but the risk is associated. You can upload that mail as proof and explain in the client information letter. However a risk is associated so it’s your call

I got my work permit on 15th jan 2021 and applied for my TRV on 26th january 2021 from Canada.
After that I urgently need to travel india on 29th January.
I send them the web form letting them know that I am in india. So they transferred my file to india New Delhi.. and it’s been a month I didn’t got a reply yet from New Delhi high commission.

Hi Rahul, there is another way where we choose "country of residence" as Canada and purpose as "work" in the questionnaire. In the form IMM5257, we could mention the country of residence as India in question 7 and 9. as per the below link. Now I am confused between your method and the below method. Can you please help me clarify my doubt? Which one is the best? I am in sincere need of your ideas.

I came to India on jan 7th 2020 after I have finished my masters in Dec 2019, thinking that I will apply for PGWP inside canada once I get back in Mar 2020. But due to COVID-19 With no option left I have applied for PGWP outside canada. Now my question is How can I extend my TRV which is going to expire on sep 30th 2020 and my PGWP application still in progress...and also I have valid study permit till sept 30 2020, will that be useful in any means...please help me with this. thank you..
