accent , words are not absolute factors that help you get high score in the ielts speaking , but theyre your fluence in using english, your confidence while speaking and the ability to response to the examiner's question will define your result
I dont think much of Indian accent. I work with Indians for years, their accent and pronunciation are quite bad, but not this girl. Her voice is actually nice enough 😍
I wish I could speak and think well on my Ielts like her..She speaks fluently and she sounds very interesting. The examiner obviously enjoyed listening her.I hope to find a speaking partner exactly like her.
Indian examiners are far more strict about scores than english examiners. Not to say you won’t get a band 9, but there will always be something you would miss. A simple ‘emm’ ‘aaa’ type fillers will bring your score 0.5 marks down, which the student in the video has used a lot.
@Colette In general I go for standard Cambridge books. They are good enough. However, if you are asking in context of speaking test, then I don't have any standard book. However I tried two things: i) Pick an apt IELTS Topic, then Open MS Word, turn on the dictation. Now do not look at the screen and start speaking on the topic. Once you are done, analyze the script on the screen. It will help you understand if you need to work on fluency and coherency as you will notice the blabbering if you do that a lot. Misplaced words will tell you about your grammar and pronunciation mistakes. ii) there are generally 4-5 categories of topics you are likely to get in actual exam. Create a 4 bullet point broad outline which suits most of them. That outline should be able to help you exploit your current vocab already known to you. So that you don't get stuck when searching for a word. Always remember to circle back as soon as you feel you have started blabbering. Look at the topic cards, look at the outline and try to circle back to a specific bullet point. It will help with your coherency. Most importantly : Once you go in the speaking test room, never ever get into exercise mode, where you start analyzing your last spoken phrase or sentence by yourself while in middle of an answer. You are likely to miss your train of thoughts or make more mistakes if you do that. The preparation time is already over once you enter the room. So relax and speak in forward mode and not in the exercise mode. Exercise time is over.
I think she is basically and originally very intelligent and quick-minded. Dont think much of her Indian accent, but like the way she speaks English with confidence,... same as mine 🤣. Love her much 😍

@@tiya6180 woaah ! You don't look like
She is super confident and really appreciated her speak good job 👏👏
Indian examiners are far more strict about scores than english examiners. Not to say you won’t get a band 9, but there will always be something you would miss. A simple ‘emm’ ‘aaa’ type fillers will bring your score 0.5 marks down, which the student in the video has used a lot.
Exactly
Non lexical fillers won’t reduce ur score. Also content related hesitations are allowed but language related hesitations are not allowed
@@ramkumarbarathan what are language related hesitation...can you please give examples?
@@Nourished.Living its like you are searching for the right vocab when you begin to speak
@Colette In general I go for standard Cambridge books. They are good enough. However, if you are asking in context of speaking test, then I don't have any standard book. However I tried two things:
i) Pick an apt IELTS Topic, then Open MS Word, turn on the dictation.
This is the speed one should maintain..very well given n examiner is also too nice with smile on her lovely face.
Haha she's like a story teller
Her voice is awesome, we can say in a word .
She blew my mind!!. Her wide vocabulary and her fast responses were totally on point.
i am learning a lot of phrases from this video :)
I think she is basically and originally very intelligent and quick-minded. Dont think much of her Indian accent, but like the way she speaks English with confidence,... same as mine 🤣. Love her much 😍
The best part is extended answers. She really got into details of every questions and that's what got her 9 bands
